Resident Evil 7 - Quick & Easy Platinum guides (10hrs)

I've used a few of your guides. They're always incredibly good. This is a game I'll probably play next month for a Halloween type game.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys, im going to get the madhouse run up either tomorrow or the day after. Ive been through it on madhouse, despite going through easy doing all that in 2hr 30mins, my madhouse time was 10 hours lol. But only because I was reloading very difficult points and trying everything to come with easiest approach for you guys, just gotta go through again, record and upload.

May do DLC, not sure yet.

These will be in same vein as my written guides by the way, only im focusing on youtube more now so most guides will be in video format, not sure when I will get back to written guides.

Thanks anyhow for the interest,  going to be on FF8 after and going to see if I can put something together for that

All done now just about, just gotta to reupload the madhouse as there was a problem with game audio, commentary is there though. I will leave the one in the op up for now and remove when I have reuploaded the fixed one.

These should help tremendously with your runs and will net you a platinum in less than 10 hours if you want.

Thanks for looking everyone and will see you around ;)

Haven't played the RE games but I'll keep this in mind if I pick this game up.  Nice work!

Is it easier or better to try doing a speedrun first or do it after beating the game on madhouse?

You should do the speed run first and then do madhouse. Getting the circular saw from doing a speed run carries over into Madhouse making it a lot easier.

Currently at 2:28’32” going into the wrecked tanker. Is 90 minutes enough time to make it all the way to the end? It’s been taking a while because I’m trying to also get all the collectibles.

Hmmm, you’re making average time, I believe you can still make it but I don’t think you have enough time to also grab collectibles. I would say if you reach the mine area at 3:30:00 you’re not going to make it in time. If I were you I would make a separate manual save and just do the speed run. Then reload that save and get the collectibles.

Looking at my save I arrived at the ship with Mia at 1:48:32. And my final time was 2:37:14. I didn’t collect anything but I did the trophies requiring that I used the item box and healing items less than 3 times, so I took it slow. Still you have 2 hours that’s plenty of time for under 4 hours.

Have you been following the video, that should make it easy for you. You dont have to do the no healing and no item box, but just follow the collectibles and speedeun for it.......

I make everything as easy as poss so should be easy to replicate. Im not one of those that uses crazy dodging etc, I try to route it with a beginner in mind while also cheesing as much as possible (in a way that I experiment with triggers for enemies anyway so that we can avoid encounters where possible)

Thanks for the guide! Just finished my platinum run.

One thing, maybe a tip for others, haven't double checked.

The last part in the mines, I killed everyone until the first fat molded (the one before you jump of the broken stairs), left him there and backtracked to the save room. When I got back, he was gone. No idea where he went but if someone is having trouble, this maybe is repeatable?

if it wasn't for First person games giving me motion sickness I would definitely use those. If only they gave you an option to do 1st or 3rd.
