Trophy Thoughts?

23 posts in this topic

Definitely getting it, I loved the original one on PS3 when I played it years ago. Honestly I'd have preferred if they gave it a similar treatment as that from Catherine Full Body, with new stuff and a modified trophy list, but still like I said I loved the original so I'll be picking this one up either way! <3

Do I want to do alchemy again? I hated it last time but loved the game as a whole...

Sure why not, I'll do this when there's a good sale on it

Just hoping they left the casino exploit and gold enemies on the stack. Basically gives infinite money/magic/xp/candies and saves dozens of hours

Are the trophy stacks different? Like not grouped PS3/PS4?

Will buy that eventually, since I love that game and I lost my save for the PS3 version. Wanted to start it all over just to be able to drive around in that car again ;). Now I can do that in a 1080p version. Nevertheless, I think I am not going for the platinum this time.

This reminds me to download the PS3 version and play through it.

The bad news: Probably no more duplication glitch so you have to grind for everything now and it's the same grind.

The good news: I can sell my PS3 as this game was the only reason I owned a PS3. xD

oh god! do they really have to bring back the stupid casino related trophies and the tedious alchemy trophy? 😡

trophies wise this is one of the most annoying and tedious platinum I ever attempted on the ps3, never had fun unlocking it at all, the second game was more enjoyable to plat in comparison to this but game play wise NNK1 was far more memorable.

I'm happy nothing changed.  Love this game.  Can't wait to get my copy in the mail!

Just got the platinum to the ps3 version recently.  I don't know if I have it in me to do it allover again so soon.

It's obviously the same, which means I'll put another 100 hours into it and do the stupid alchemy. The games still gonna be enjoyable for most of it though.

Great game but I don't know if I'll bother with the remaster since the trophies are a pain. Might still get it when it's on sale and I have the time to devote to it.

There is one trophy which was changed: Guildering the Lily. It's not changed in any way except that you can't get it early or get max Sage's Secret like you can in the PS3 version due to a dupe bug that was in the PS3 version. It won't be in the remaster as "The glitch targets an issue the PS3 has with allocating memory based on 1's and 0's to unused inventory slots." This game is a port of the PC version and unless the dupe bug exists in that, you will be grinding out tons of Golden Tokotokos to get the required 500,000 guilders. :(

Other than that, I will probably enjoy the game. It's a great game. Might stream the 100% plat trophy speedrun for it while playing it.

If they left the casino exploit its not an issue. Trade in your million casino chips for the highest selling value item and go sell it to any merchant. Rince and repeat
