iGGTheEnd Posted September 19, 2019 Share Posted September 19, 2019 The Risk of Rain 2 plat, was so satisfying seeing myself improve every run and the game is like digital crack, most roguelites are but this game is so addicting it is insane. Not because it was hard or even that it's a long process, but because it took 5 and a half years to actually finish this game. In all honesty, I forgot I had it on my PS3 and went back on it last week once I realized I never finished it. To see another 100% on one of my favorite franchises was satisfying. Needless to say when they announced the fix, I dropped all the other games I was playing and prioritized the online trophies for Blacklist. I didn't just get banned from the casinos required for the trophy, I got banned from every casino in the game. Aurora 6 has a luck stat of 9 (max is 10), therefore the trophy wasn't very difficult. The game is tough as nails, the AI is unforgiving, and I did all the missions with the patch (meaning I literally A+ed all levels). It's a great game that I came back to on a whim after I was listening to the soundtrack on YouTube. In the end, I'm glad I did! Anyways, here you go! Not the best looking platinum, but it beats out GoW3. Gisquared09 Posted September 21, 2019 Share Posted September 21, 2019 I wouldn't say this is my favorite trophy I earned this month since I've barley had any time to game but the "taking sides" trophy in Skyrim I just earned would be my pick. I chose this because back on the PS3 when I attempted this side quest the game glitched on me and I wasn't able to complete the starting quest (glitch in a Bethesda game? I wouldn't necessarily say it's a "favorite" trophy of mine because of the Old Habits trophy which requires the completion of all the locations but hey, it's another plat in my collection. I’m working towards the platinum with just one grindy trophy left to achieve so my most satisfying achievement so far this month has been reaching Driver Level 50. Looking through the MGS trophy lists, you can tell whoever did the naming definitely had some fun with a couple of them. MGS was my favorite game series for a long time, so it's nice to replay these games for the first time in a while, but with trophies. Gonna do MGS3 soon, hopefully I'll get the plat on it too. I hope we'll get some more english translated games soon. I chose this trophy for September since it's the first one you can get in The Vanishing of Ethan Carter (a game I particlarly liked for its Lovecraftian atmosphere and setting) and it makes you understand that "something's wrong with this place" from the very beginning, setting that mysterious atmosphere right off the bat. fbdbh Posted September 25, 2019 Share Posted September 25, 2019 A Prophecy Fulfilled from Dragon Quest Heroes II It's basically the trophy awarded for completing the story, which opened up new endgame stuff to grind, but the best thing about it was that I was struggling with the final boss and then I decided to try it in co-op (instead of grinding mindlessly for higher levels) and three lovely Japanese players helped out. It was still a hard fight, I had to do everything to stay alive, but then Fractos was defeated. There are still tons of stuff to clean up, but this signals a clean route towards the platinum. Forgot about the whole getting to the bosses thing. Especially at the end when the trash mobs could do six points of damage when you only have eight health. The no damage on the pirate master was a close second. He throws his gun and dodging it was a pain. Even getting the cheese mechanic for it was very precise. Spacey_Dweeb Posted September 25, 2019 Share Posted September 25, 2019 (edited) The Iron Crown (platinum) from The Darkest Dungeon. I haven't earned it yet, but hoping to by the end of the month. I've just got to finish my second play through on the highest difficulty. I've got the grind mostly done though. I've got several max level heroes and most upgrades unlocked at the Blacksmith and Guild. I really like the game and have been having a good time with it. It takes a really long time and can be frustrating. It will make completing it all the more sweet.
