Firefighter Mission 12: Life Saver Tips!!

Ya I know, a bit late to the party but I've got some great strategic info for anyone struggling with the Firefighter Mission or hasn't finished it yet.

 

First, grab yourself a fire truck downtown.  Proceed to take it to Hyman condo garage and back it in.  Get out and then save the game.  This is important so you won't have to keep grabbing the firetruck from the fire station.  It's a timesaver.  If you fail the mission all you do is load your Hyman condo save and the truck is in the garage.

 

Best area for firefighter 12 mission is Northern Downtown area near the stadium.  But it is easier just to start the mission as soon as you leave the garage and go to your right.  Keep in mind this alley way is also a great shortcut with a star there to lose wanted level.  Or you could just use the cheat for lose Wanted.  I found when I started the mission as soon as left the condo and turned right I didn't end up in Little Haiti much (that could be random though).

 

If you take a piece of duct, scotch, electrical or medical tape and put it on the it should hold it down allowing you to free up some dexterity and a finger for this mission (Duct tape seems to work best). You will have constant spray without the hassle of using that finger. I found it much easier doing this... try it and you'll see.

If your button gets sticky after that just use rubbing alcohol to get the residue off.

 

Use you handbrake as normal breaks will have you sliding all over the road.

 

ALWAYS try to put the fire out on all the cars at once before chasing after the crispy VC residents.

 

If your truck flips on it's side, all hope is not lost...  just push -> + and your truck will flip back on 4 wheels.

 

Once you get all this down this mission will become somewhat of a cakewalk.

I am not sure if there is any new tips I have posted in this thread... but I been trying this all day and developed my own method.  Sorry if it has been done already.. I just had to put it all together.

Man, first time gang members got me out and failed the mission, now I pressed triangle together with O wich failed the mission at lvl 12. FRUSTRATING AF!

What I did, right after you do that mission where you have to blow up the construction building early into the game, a firetruck appears when the mission finishes (even though you shouldn't be able to get one till the second part of the map), I took that and did it there and then so I was guanteed they a fire wouldn't spawn on the second part of the map which is more trickier to get around.
