So it's still possible? I see you got yours on the 24th November, did you do it with the latest patch and mutators or the legit harder way? Or unpatched with mutators? Welp guess I'll try to complete them and see, the points will go to use anyway. :D

Edit: nvm wrong month :D oh well.

I did it the hard way, but right when the patch with the mutators went live, my buddy got the trophy that way. Gosh I hope they didn’t patch it again, that would really suck :(

Ok so for clarification:

With the latest patch (20th nov.) you are now UNABLE to get trophies for completing NY, Jerusalem and Moscow on any difficulty, all missions on any difficulty and every mission on insane or above. So the trophy difficulty is pretty much the same as it was, before mutators were introduced.

It's now shorter for sure, because you can easily level up all classes and grind cash on extreme difficulty with mutators being active. You get the 100 pve match trophy just fine (got it yesterday) and all other trophies except for the ones i mentioned as well. So you can get the platinum in under 100 hours now even without being a madman and playing shitty classes on extreme difficulty with all the special zombies being a big pain in the ass.

Wait are you saying that you can't get the trophies with mutators on, or not at all even without mutators. I just got the trophy for finishing all maps on Easy last night and was going to start going through Normal->Hard->etc..

I think the worst trophy for me personally will be the 200 resources in pvp. I have enjoyed PVP in the game, but leveling up >10 classes in pvp is getting old and running around with non fully leveled classes gimps you a decent amount in pvp (well I suppose once you get the upgraded weapons and such it does get easier without having to max out to 13) but still I'm not looking forward to either PVPing after leveling all to 13 or trying this one with a sub 13 class. At least the maps only take a max of 10 minutes to finish. Sheesh just realized that's a long time to level all classes to 13. Even at 1 level per match it is still 2 hours + load + match making times. No wonder I see people AFK.....

If you go through the missions you will see your highest completed difficulty for each mission on the right side. Mutator games won't change that status so guess that's what the latest patch fixed. Public games have been working fine for me.

I would like to get this game since it's on sale. I want to platinum it too though and it looks like a tough one... I see the game has been getting patched a ton and was just curious as to what the state of this game was? Also, is the game fun at all or does the grind end up making it a chore due to lackluster gameplay?

Difficulty of the game has been changing a lot yes but it is doable at its current state. I was a bit scared if I could complete this one at first after getting my ass kicked quite a few times on Insane mode. It's really hectic gameplay and entirely depends on how well your team knows the game and plays together, there is very little possibility of getting carried through this game if you don't pull your own weight so to say. With that being said playing with randoms it could be somewhat of a mixed bag. For me though it was one of the most fun co-op experiences I have yet to play on PS4 even though I was bitterly disappointed many times along the way (wipes on the last possible moment etc.) and I played entirely with randoms.

However it has a couple trophies that require a lot of grinding to unlock all the perks and upgrade all the weapons. (Weapons NEED to be upgraded to acquire silencers before attempting Insane mode.) Now I haven't played the new Horde mode so I don't know how well it rewards with these coins that you need for everything but the studio behind this game has plans to continue development so new and better ways to earn them might come as well.

For me World War Z was the most rewarding co-op game in years after finally nailing those tough missions with awesome bunch of random people.

I just received the trophy for completing all lvls on insane difficulty last night. People still play on there and yes they are extremely hard, but possible. There were some lvls where one person saved the whole day just due to a crucial act. I never knew of the mutators thing, but it was too late to do it that way anyways. Feels like a better accomplishment without using those.

What is the most efficient farming-method at the moment?

The best I've tried is level one on the hardest (forget what the level is above insane) and just slowly going through the first building using only silenced weapons until I got to the elevator. Took the elevator and then played normal until I died. Since I only made it a little ways in I got 350 XP and 100 Resources I think. Not much but round trip from load screen to back to main menu took <10 minutes I think.

I heard that you can do basically the same thing on the level where you have to escort the doctor where you start in an area of bombs and you have to blow open a gate to continue. This might be faster but I've haven't tried.

My plan with the game was to level up all the multiplayer classes while grinding out the pvp trophies. While I didn't buy all the skills I did get enough extra to help buy everything I needed in PvE mode while I was playing through it.

Then I started working on Insane level playthroughs with randoms. Tried to get groups that were full of at least level 200+ because they at least played the game a good bit. Never understand the level 5 guy starting on insane level. Basically your screwing the entire team over because you bring nothing to the table except noise. I just got my last level on insane and had leveled up all but about 6 weapons and one half of one class with about 8000 resources left. I have only been buying perks I needed along the way so I will need to go back but I haven't had to not buy a perk I wanted due to not enough resources.

Now I'm running Hard mode to finish the 100 PvE runs. I'm hopeful that will help me get all my weapons to level 5 and at least a couple of classes to max perks. After that it will be a resource grind which I will probably just to the first level on hardest mode as mentioned above.

I figured I should share this farming method I got from a guy on a Facebook group, I don't know if it's the best or fastest but I found it very effective.

>Also, if anyone wants to try and carry me through some Extreme-levels, hit me up

Episode NY3: Hell and High Water

Mutators:

1. Perfect Condition

2. Looter

3. I Feel Your Pain

It can be boring and tedious at best and if you're unlucky the BOTS will not revive you even if they can, but that has only happend to me once after 10+ succesfull runs.

If anyone has a better/faster method, please comment so :)

EDIT: Also, does anyone know if I need to buy all the PvP perks for the trophy?

Yes, you have to buy all of the pvp perks as well.

Jerusalem 2 on extreme can net you 100 supplies every 1-2 minutes, the moment Dr Greengold gets to the first gate, it's considered a checkpoint, die there and collect 100 supplies, rinse and repeat

The grind required in this game is simply nuts... not sure if there is another game out there with so little to do/variety and such absurd small rewards for completing missions etc. It's a fun game but leveling feels like the devs wanted micro-transactions but ultimately forgot to include them.

Glad I had this platinum without the dlc maps.

It was tougher but more rewarding.

More health or less levels.. Easy choice for me

Succes in this game was al about teamplay, so not getting health when needed or less levels and frustration.

Is the extreme mode with mutators grinding method nerfed? Made the process pretty quick when I was doing it.

Is this method detailed somewhere? I searched for the fastest method when I startet few month ago and the method proposed has no mutators involved...

Well basically you could enable any mutators you wanted and still get full amount of coins from playing on Extreme mode. You didn't get credit for the difficulty related trophy though. I picked the ones that disabled special zombies and made waves smaller and a couple other beneficial ones. Took a few nights of running the New York level with the boat at the end to max everything. Platted it around December so don't really know if it's possible anymore.

Unfortunately this is not working anymore. You only get the half amount of coins. 500 coins for one mission is not very effective (15 minutes +). The fastest still seems Moskau 1 running  until the first big room: takes 3 minutes and you get 250 each run. Still not very good though....

It's pretty doable with random players I'd say. Just make sure that the people you are playing with are high level and preferably prestige ranked. Some very skilled people are playing this game.

Starting this game in 2020: 150 hours + X and 6/10 difficulty. But around 100 hours are pure grinding... not sure if I can recommend this game if the platinum is the goal.

For anyone out there grinding Horde mode for level up and such, I had the game freeze on me countless time around wave 16+ (16, 17, 22, 25, to give a few examples)

It was a rather frustrating experience.

If it were like a disconnection it would be fine because you'd still get your gold. For me it was almost always a freeze, impossible to back out from the game, app just crashed, had to quit app / restart / reload the game.

When you freeze you loose ALL progress on your current horde mode session even if you rejoin with code or invite.

My advice if you wanna secure your gold, at wave 15-16 back out from the game (quitting will get you your share depending on your performance) to secure your gold income and then rejoin by code or invite if you wanna try to go in higher waves (write down code before session start it can help rejoin if you're playing with pc or xbox players).

As stated by OBSTINATIO above for insane mode there are a lot of talented players but some of them are complete burdens too.

Don't bother if they're not level 30 in their class, prestige or not (if you go prestige use fixer and medic, most useful classes of the game).

There is a major component in this game people tend to forget (or choose to deliberately ignore) which is stealth, if you stay quiet at all times you'll have a MUCH better time at clearing maps on insane or extreme. Running, un-silenced weapons, breaching for loot draws more zombies to you.

follow these simple tips and I promise some insane levels won't feel insane anymore:

- Don't breach (most of the time you don't really need this loot, if you stealth ---> less zombies ---> less potential damage, etc.)

- Use only silenced weapons (make sure ALL OF THEM are silenced so that when you pick up one you don't have to worry about it being silenced or not)

- Crouch/walk and never run, on higher difficulties even walking may alert zombies.

If you're in danger use Fixers' masking grenades or Medics' stim pistols with masking effect. There are audio cues when there's a critical stealth part in a level, your character will say something like "be quiet" or "let's not make any noise", pay attention to those. It will prevent mini swarm from maybe ruining your run.

Some parts, mostly end levels usually are "loud" so explosives and such is allowed there, but do that in a stealth part and it'll ruin your run.

Using advanced combat weapon is also ok noise-wise it doesn't seem to trigger zombies as you would expect. It packs a punch and can clear waves pretty easily.

They have a Discord where you can find players based on where you live, the beauty of cross platform makes it so you can play with pc players who have "better version" of the game and generally perform better.

Also I didn't know that but anyone with the DLC can "share" it with friend by playing it in private session. So if like me you have friends that a reluctant to buying DLC and such you can still experience Marseille maps with them, but only in private.

Overall a very fun game, superb coop experience, but also way too much grind and game froze/crashed a lot of time for me.
