Todd Howard wants $99.99 a year from you

I'd slightly (but only slightly) understand if the monthly/yearly sub was with a F2P game. But this is just a weird move. You are basically subbing for access to your own private server, monthly store currency and inventory-type space that should be free in the first place.

I’m out. In fact I was never in but still had this game on my “meh, deep sale maybe” list. It’s even off that now.

This, right here is why AAA gaming absolutely sucks.

But you get 1650 atoms a month. That's more than 16500 a year

Todd Howard has nothing to do with business decisions. He the producer. The business aspects are handled by the publisher. Get your facts straight, kids.

What the hell are they doing? They need to be pumping out free stuff for this game to recover not asking 100$ a year for not a whole lot

Not sure if this is tongue and cheek or not, but how much is 100 atom for example?  And how much of it do you need to buy anything relevant? I have no idea what any of this means in context.
