Lonely Cave Question

In regards to this cave, what would be the best way to approach this? For those that have played the original, you'll know what I'm talking about, the cave with one very strong  first enemy you encounter creature.  I believe in the first game, such a cave took me a few good tries to beat, but here, not sure at the moment on the best approach.  I am level 102 right now, so not sure if I should go for a higher level as in, grind it out, or just go in and keep trying.

I got to about level 112, and then it took maybe about 5-6 tries to get the timing right, if you use a ranged weapon with one of the characters at least that should help. Also I found that the cat trap magic helped to slow the enemy down for a few second while doing damage. The flamepurr magic was also a good choice I think.

But just rolling and dodging as much as possible is the best bet.

Get the Blackhole spell, and it's a joke. Just keep circling while putting down Black holes and spamming the wand, might take a minute or two but I did it around level 50 without any issue.

I finished the little rascal off with a combination of Gravi-Ruff (the black hole one to hold him still) and Celestail (to deal huge damage). Cast them on top of each other and you can bring him down in a few hits.

Ah, I'll have to try that next time I'm back into the game for sure, especially the black hole one.  Been playing something else at the moment, so been a little distracted with that game

Use celestail. I leveled mine up to 200% damage and he died in two casts of it. That spell is broken.

Max'd level frost spell helped for me. That and keeping your distance using ranged attacks and spells got me through it.

I litterally use the maxed level gravity spell and the trap spell at the same time and wand from a distance and repeat. I wore the all the spell cost decrease armour and head gear too and didnt take long.

I used a maxed black hole and maxed celestail. Drop celestail, run a quick circle round the area (as it takes a while before it starts dealing damage) then drop a black hole in the same place. It will die in 1-2 casts.

How do you level up spells?

Enter the purple Arcane Headquarters in the southern continent just west of Mew Fields.
