The season pass does go on sale just not often and it's a much better deal than paying for the gold edition since I already own the base game. Last Black Friday, it went on sale for $11.99 or something like that in the CAD store. I would have just picked it up then if I knew the season pass would only go on sale a few times a year and never end up as cheap as the sale offered on Black Friday.
