Chicken Legs and Mad Family trophies

I did the Ants challenge twice but didn’t get the legs after my second run. Is that normal? Am I doing something wrong? Also, what is the best weapon to open the cage with the Mad Family member with the rune inside and avoid hitting him? Thanks.

You definitely got the required amount of amber in the ants challenge? You should of gotten more chicken afterwards.

 

For the cage, distract the two females so they wont bother you, and from afar throw your arm to break the barrels.

You won't get any if you already have 30 chicken legs (that's the limit).

What I'd recommend is throwing 25 legs at the Hilltop Mausoleum, then purposely getting your remaining chicken stolen from an imp.

After he comes back, kill him, go to the gargoyle where the ghost pianist is playing, and buy the chicken back (you'll have 30 again as they will be replenished for some reason)

 

For the cage, break the barrel with your arm, as mentioned above

Alternative to the arm method, you can use the charged axe attack (facing away from the villagers) and it will knock the whole floor out and break the barrels as well.
