Popular Post B1rvine
The contest is over. Results are here in this post: Original Post: Brought to you by B1rvine and BeyondtheGrave07. Hello PSNProfiles! Welcome to the Christmas Scavenger Hunt Giveaway Game! We're just under one month away from Christmas, so hopefully this will be a fun Christmas themed trivia type game event for everybody for the next 30 days. First, a general note: DO NOT POST your responses in this thread. PRIVATE MESSAGE me @B1rvine instead, except for the optional bonus question, which can be posted in this thread. Good Luck! Full Rules: General Rules: Each player must answer all contest questions via private message. Each question should only be answered with a single example. The deadline to respond will be Tue Dec 24th, 11:59:59 US EST. NOTE: ALL answers should be given in a single response for #1 - 7. Objective/Scoring: Each player starts with zero points. When answering each question, try to come up with the most unique answer as possible. After the deadline, everyone’s answers will be compared to each other. Any answer that is completely unique that nobody else comes up with is worth 1 point. For answers that are shared by two or more people, points are based on the number of people sharing that answer. The objective will be to end with the lowest possible score, similar to golf. The bonus question does not count for any points, but enters you in the raffle. Quote Example of how scoring works: Sample Question: What’s the name of a character in Assassin’s Creed 2? One player gives a unique answer of “Warren Vidic.” Three players give a shared answer of “Desmond.” Fifteen players give a shared answer of “Ezio” One player would get 1 point, three would get 3 points, and fifteen get 15 points. Prizes! First Place Prize = $50 PSN Card Code (or $100 PSN Card code -if- we get at least 50 participants) Random Giveaway = $10 PSN Card Finally, the questions! (DM me the answers on PSNP) Note: Only one answer per question. If you'd like to link me to your answers, or provide additional information for verification purposes, this is okay. Hint: Use a search function if you can't think of anything. 1: What’s a game on PS3, PS4, or PS Vita that has (or had) purchasable loot boxes requiring real money? 2: What’s a game on PS3, PS4, or PS Vita that Santa (or a Santa look-a-like) makes an appearance? 3: What’s a game on PS3, PS4, or PS Vita that has a picture of a train on the game box's front cover? 4: What’s a trophy that has a picture of a traditional looking snowman? 5: What’s a game on PS3, PS4, or PS Vita that has (or had) a limited time event during December? 6: What’s a game on PS3, PS4, or PS Vita that has the word “Music” written in its title? 7: What's one of the (naughty or nice) staff members listed in the staff list? Bonus: What’s your favorite Christmas (or holiday) memory? (Answer in this thread) Good Luck! Edited June 17, 2021 by B1rvine
Helyx
Great idea, I'm digging it. My favorite Christmas memory was watching my little sister accidentally erase a message "Santa" left recorded for her.
Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
Anyone who beats me, I'll throw your name in a random generator and whoever's name pops up, will get a $20 US PSN card from me. Merry Christmas! Anyways, my favorite Christmas memory has to be getting a Nintendo 64. We had Super Mario 64 and 007 GoldenEye. We started off with 007, and my dad couldn't figure out the controls so he (somehow) backed himself into the corner while being shot at by the first guard on Dam. ? He eventually beat the game on the hardest difficulty, but that was just hilarious and an unforgettable Christmas memory! Han_the_Dragon
Tag for PM later (I should go sleep now..). But I can leave my bonus answer now.. One of my favorite Christmas memories, that's actually gaming related was me, my brother and a cousin playing Worms Armageddon all night long (we stop after 5AM easily), when we were kids, so, this was probably 20 years ago..
BlackTorito
Nice and interesting giveaway! One of the best memories has to be the beginning of my gaming journey, getting a N64 with Mario and Pokemon Stadium! But also when my aunt put on a Santa’s costume, ate the cookies and put the presents on the tree while we were hidden to not “disturb” ?
Inuty
My favourite Christmas Memory is a Little bit sad but it put me in the realistic world of the adults I got some Money from my grandma and was so happy I could buy whatever game I want for my Gameboy Color (didn´t own a Playstation to that time). The other Christmas I get a game and sometimes didn´t even liked. I order on Amazon The Legend of Zelda - Oracle of Seasons and asked my mother every day if the post man delivered my order. After 1 week I realized that there are some dumb Things like release dates of games and you can´t get everything you see in the Internet So I had to wait 6 months until I received my game and since then I looked Always on the release Dates of games
FrenchDevil54
That's a great giveaway! One of my favourite holiday memories is when my father brought a puppy for Christmas, I was 9 at the time and it was my first dog ever. Thanks for doing this!
Ashbo
Thanks again for the giveaway mate, great gesture. I have loads fortunately for me, however as this is a gaming site, we’ll go with a gaming one. I would say when my brother and I got our first N64 with Mario Kart. We got most of the neighbourhood round to our house over the festive period and literally played the game solid for like I said, the whole of Christmas, which added to the fun as we had a full house so the adults at the time all joined in too and we did a big racing comp. Great atmosphere, good times and proper good memories.
Carol
I would like to participate, but I want to ask something about question 3. Does it have to be a picture of a full train or can it be just the train carriages (parts of a destroyed train, for example)?
EcoShifter
The reucrring rule regarding single response, that just means as single sentence, right? Because single word answers are impossible.

Lol true. But yea it was best that I don't give away your answer because not everyone might get this idea even if it became somewhere obvious! And imo just PM op to not give any ideas! Folkenio
Ok, I'm in. What’s your favorite Christmas (or holiday) memory? From recently, when I got a 10-pack of socks from my parents last year. I usually run short on them, and last X-mas was a complete surprise.

B1rvine
I see quite a bit of participation so far. Thanks and welcome! I’ll get to all your questions in a few hours after work. My general answer for now is : if the first thing that will come to my mind when seeing your answer is “yeah that’s a ____” then it’s an acceptable answer.
