Popular Post PhantomFear94
For anyone interested on trophy breakdown and personal thoughts (I may make a site trophy guide, we'll see). Trophies: I've played this game through on Switch countless times, and utterly adore it. The trophy list is identical to the "challenges" on Nintendo Switch, which was what I was hoping, and would estimate a 2/10 difficulty of 4-6 hours (thinner end if you follow a guide like the one below, thicker end if you don't do a completion run and mop things up in chapter select). The only thing that could possibly jeopardize this in any way is glitched trophies, which I don't anticipate nor have any reports of. https://www.neoseeker.com/gris/walkthrough has a superb walkthrough which takes you through everything and would actually get you the Platinum as it walks you through all "challenges" within the guide (same as trophy list). I plan on doing a trophy walkthrough for TrueTrophies (with the hope an Xbox port also gets confirmed for TrueAchievements), and may do a trophy guide/roadmap on here. To break it down, these are how you earn the trophies: Unmissable Story-Related (5/18): Red (Prologue) Green (Desert Chapter) Blue (Water Chapter) Yellow (Gravity Chapter) The End (Finish the Game) Missable "Five Stages of Grief" Trophies In Order (Easy Miscellaneous Requirements) (I Think Can Be Done Through Post-Game Chapter Select) (10/18): Denial (Prologue) Anger (Desert Chapter) Bargaining (Forest Chapter) Depression (Water Chapter) Acceptance (Gravity Chapter) Missable Level-specific Trophies In Order (Can Be Done Through Post-Game Chapter Select) (15/18) Sandstorm (Desert Chapter) (Second hardest trophy, although still easy) Inksuit (Desert Chapter) Apples (Forest Chapter) Eel (Water Chapter) (Hardest trophy, although still easy) Magic Fowls (Gravity Chapter) Mementos (Collectibles) (16/18) Memento (Find all collectibles) Secret Ending (Post-Game) (17/18) Childhood (After end of game, follow Neoseeker guide linked above) Platinum (18/18) Personal Growth (Platinum) My Opinions of GRIS: GRIS is my favourite indie title of the generation, up against some very stiff competition (Little Nightmares, RiME, Celeste, 11-11 Memories Retold). From an artistic perspective, it does a beautiful job both in terms of how damn amazing it looks but also how it takes the simple concept of colour and ties its entire narrative progression behind it. It makes the world feel like it is expanding through the game, and enhances the uniqueness of each location beyond what the landscape changes could do in of themselves. The music is also beautiful, and the story isn't too artsy for its own good, it has a simple premise and ties everything up really nicely at the end. I also think the gameplay is really fun. In my opinion, people who say that GRIS "isn't a game" and that its just an art project are talking nonsense. If you don't enjoy the gameplay, that's another matter, but mechanics evolve really nicely in the way and make you feel completely different in regards to the extent of your abilities by the end of the game than at the start. I actually thought its mechanics were pretty unique and well-developed, compared to other games (although I'm categorically a story>gameplay person myself). In summary? I highly recommend you play it, and you may as well get the easy platinum en-route! ? Edited November 27, 2019 by PhantomFear94
JagKenobi
Agree! I played this on Switch back in January and have no hesitations about earning a Platinum via a second playthrough. Thanks for sharing the walkthrough link. Definitely don't want to miss anything first time through, although there is chapter select (of sorts). aZombieDictator
I've been using this guide, waited a year for this game and so happy to finally play it and get trophies. There's also physical copies for sale here. https://limitedrungames.com/collections/neo-frontpage/products/limited-run-313-ps4 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1590842073 Also wait you can't do the stages of grief in chapter select? JagKenobi
Pretty sure nothing is missable, trophy-wise. I just meant that I hope not to have to do too much chapter select outside the 1 or 2 things you have to beat the game first in order to encounter. Should probably clarify when I say "missable" I mean you have to go out of your way to get it, its missable in the sense that you can pass it and not go back during your playthrough. Everything can be done with chapter select. 17 minutes ago, aZombieDictator said: I've been using this guide, waited a year for this game and so happy to finally play it and get trophies. Possibly, but can't confirm or deny. I'd imagine you could!

Baker
The game is already on the EU store. Never heard of this game but it looks very interesting. Added to my wishlist.
JagKenobi
It's one of those games you play in between the heavy action, heavy thinking-required games. It's so chill and relaxing, and it's incredibly stunning to watch in motion. I forgot how much I enjoyed it on Switch back in January until I started playing it again on PS4 tonight. Glad I rebought for the Platinum.

JohnCenaSong-
I've been wanting to play this game for the longest time so I've been praying for a Playstation release and here we are. Shame about the whole EU store mess but it didn't take too long to resolve.

I bought it yesterday and binged all night/day. I know someone said it here but the game is really short. And I couldn't agree more. By gawd, the music is wonderful too. Glad I got to experience it! Seasonreaper
I played through this on PC a while ago and yeah, it's amazing. Probably one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen in motion, combined with a fantastic soundtrack. Conveys a lot for having no dialogue, too.
