How is this game now?

Was thinking of picking this up for the Black Friday sale for $15 and I heard there was ton of additions/improvements.

 

Are the severs still fairly active? Still buggy? Any other thoughts?

Been playing all day - game is still pretty lively. Not super buggy, but a little frustrating sometimes for sure. With the Pacific stuff they just added in October it feels like a whole new game. If you're interested in chasing trophies though, one of them is going to be kind of tricky. T

 

here's a trophy for raising 10 flags in a mode called Frontlines, but that game mode was removed from server searches. It comes back every once in a while as a special limited time event, or maps in another mode called Grand Operations count towards it, but getting those maps is kind of a crapshoot. 

 

Besides that, the trophies are all really straightforward. 

 

$15 is totally worth it, awesome game!

In fact the challenges for next week show that Frontlines is scheduled to return for a week from next Thursday... although the screen also shows the Japanese Lunge Mine as the weekly reward and we know that this has been delayed so the mode/challenges might change too.

 

However, Frontlines should hopefully be readily available with the Community Games feature (custom servers) starting next month.

Good to hear, I've been also thinking about getting it. Have no FPS/MP to play atm.

The game is, sadly, very broken since the 5.2 update. DICE keep messing with TTK etc and have made a real mess of it to the point I uninstalled it last night.

Game is not good, to much complicated and unbalanced. I play Battlefield 1 again instead since 1 year. Battlefield V is the most bad Battlefield I know.

The servers are very active and there is a workaround for the Hoist the Flag trophy.

It's true that you almost find no games for Frontline anymore, but if you have three friends you can just create your own server and choose the Frontline game mode.
