SpiralSage
for the life of me I can't figure it out. I know Cool Combinations have something to do with when your character sparkles blue when attacking and I figure it might have something to do with getting a full combo while sparkling but is it a specific combo? I looked through the combo list and I can't find anything about a "cool Combination" combo so I'm just not sure what exactly I'm supposed to do here
VetoShizuko
You're overthinking it. The cool combo quest only counts when you finish the actual combo and yes when you see the light on the character's hands you know you're doing it right.

I did both games except this one using that.
Penpen4
Any tips for this? I can’t pull off a full combo. Is there an easy one to spam? >_<

I've been doing this for 2 hour straight and havent gotten 1. Starting to think it's glitched. 100% sure whoever thought putting a mechanic like this in this game is a good idea should have been fired. I thought it was glitched as well until I hit level 99 (from around 40?) with Saki then it started to count with the aid of the Ring of Technique x2. It'll show it at the bottom of the screen when you attack. The full combo has to be unlocked before it starts counting. The cool combos for some of the weapon types are incredibly easy to pull off, especially any of Saki's weapons. If you need help you can also buy a ring in the shop that makes cool combos easier to pull off
Chaos_Culture
I was able to do it with Lei's Triangle, Square a bunch of times combo. With the right ring attached, it makes the timing a non-issue. I never could do it with Saki, even though, according to cool combination bar, my timing was correct (mashing the button in the blue area). I still feel the mechanics are nowhere near tight enough for it and this mechanic is, overall, useless as nothing is tough enough to actually need it. But than this one annoying challenge, I do think the game is, overall, solid. More Lollipop Chainsaw than a Devil May Cry but still fun. And, no, I dont actually think someone should be fired. That was venting because of annoyance. Edited December 30, 2021 by Chaos_Culture
Popular Post Shinobi
So thought I would share my two cents to this quest; So the requirement is to "destroy enemies in the final stage of a cool combination many times". Trophy-wise, we need to achieve this 10 times (or more specifically, destroy 10 enemies). As you go through the game naturally, the game will explain what a cool combination is to begin with. It's essentially timing your attacks so they end up coming out faster and stronger than they usually would. Now that we know what a cool combination is, what does it mean to destroy enemies in the "final stage" of one? Well, as you level up the characters in-game, not only do they become stronger with attribute points, but there attack strings also increase in length (Attack strings can be viewed in the "commands" prompt in the pause while in the game). Unlocking a full attack string allows that string to now make progress towards the quest. So what attack string is the best? You definitely want to try the shorter strings but technically any fully unlocked string will work. I personally used Saki's third attack string labeled "Cranial Kick to Whirl Slash Combo". It consists of 4 button presses, the first being the triangle button and the rest being square buttons. This string requires 3 timed inputs in order to get the full cool combo. The objective in this case is for the last square input to come out properly timed and to hit and kill 10 enemies in total. Some tips; - Ring of technique helps with the timing - The full string does NOT have to land. As long as the last strike of the string hits & kills an enemy, and was also a complete cool combination (so well timed inputs through the strings entirety) it will count to the amount of 10. - My Saki was Level 43 and had 43 points in all three stats when I finished the 10 kills for this quest. No rings used. - In options > User Interface Settings > Cool Combination Bar - You don't have to kill 10 enemies at once. And you can use any combination of strings if you'd like.
