Let's do a(nother) little holiday giveaway - $20 Nintendo eShop code (Event concluded, winner announced)

The first giveaway was fun. Who's up for another? This time for a $20 Nintendo eShop gift code! Once again, thanks to @Beyondthegrave07 for letting me, uh, "borrow" his formatting.

 

Same rules as last time. How do you enter the contest? Read this fun and exciting FAQ to find out!

 

Q: How do I sign up and when is the sign-up deadline?

A: Vote in the highly scientific poll. That's it! You must vote by the deadline of December 14, 2019! The deadline is firm, so make sure to cast your votes by December 14, 2019. Also make note that U.S. Eastern Time will be the enforced time zone, so be sure to vote by 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time on December 14, 2019! The same date has been bolded three times in one answer, so it must be important!

 

Q: Who is eligible for the drawings?

A: I want to give as many people as possible a fair chance, but I need set a cutoff to avoid inflated entries with multiple accounts. Therefore, you must have been a member on this site on or before November 1^st, 2019 to be in the drawing. That's it. No post requirement is necessary. If you have multiple accounts, please only use one account in the giveaway to make this as fair as possible.

 

Q: I noticed that you gave away a PSN code last week, and now you’re giving away a Nintendo eShop code. Sweet! Does that mean you’ll also be giving away Xbox and Steam codes?

A: No, for two main reasons: 1. My funds are not unlimited, and B. I’m supporting the platforms I like best.

 

Q: What if I win the eShop code, and it doesn't work? Do I get another code?

A: Nope. My wallet can’t afford to play that game!

 

Q: What region will the code be for? Can I get a code from whatever region I want?

A: This will be a U.S. code. While I recognize that this site has members from all over the world, and everybody is welcome to enter, getting a code from a region other than my own would be more expensive. You can always make a U.S. alt account to use the code (you may have one already), or feel free to trade it on your own for a code from a different region. Nintendo is definitely stingier in their sales than Sony, but you can still find some great games for $20 or less.

 

Q: How will you choose the winner?

A: Nothing complicated, although I will enlist the assistance of our computer overlords to select the winner. I’ll simply compile a numbered list of all entrants and then ask Siri, Google, or Alexa to give me a random number between x and y.

 

Q: Is this rigged?

A: No, just trying to do something nice. Have some faith in humanity, will you?

 

Q: All the cool kids at my school keep talking about “astronomical units.” What are those?

A: Still with the random unrelated questions, huh? Fine, it’s the average distance between the Earth and the Sun, about 150 million kilometers, or 93 million miles.

 

Q: Do beavers mate for life?

A: Yes. Okay that’s it, no more questions.
