Trophies when changing from disc to digital

Hey. So I had a glitched trophy back I'm 2016 on Far Cry Primal. Made me quit the platinum. I wanted to go back and try play the game again to get it. However, my disc was broken! So, I bought the game digitally. Now, when I played the game, you know how usually the most recent game you played goes to the top of the trophy list? It didn't do that. Also, I tried saving old campaign data to the online storage, and deleting the old application, then downloading the data again to try play on my old save. It didn't work. It saved back to the old application. So, what I'm worried about is, can I even earn trophies now? It seems the console treats the game as two different applications. Any thoughts?
