PSN Store Is Driving Me Absolute BAT SHIT!

Every goddamn time I add something to my cart when I exit back out to the game selections screens it boots me all the way to the top of the list! Searching for and adding games has become a tedious pain right in my ass! Is anyone else having this issue? I've had this issue off and on now for YEARS! Ugh!

Yes, I have the same problem. I also get a lot of freezes when I use the PSN store. Use the web store, unbelievable Sony doesn't fix the PSN store.

yah was doing that to me all last night it drives me insane. it also doesnt put games in correct order from least to greatest price and vice versa. there is also deals not included in deals. ive also had issues with the pc store not even finding the games so that one sucks to. and when they have over 100+ items in sales they should leave avatars and themes in their own fckn sections. even if you "sort" things by games or bundles, it will leave games out. its a absolute mess. the best gui was the original plain box version on ps3. i could quickly and fastly find everything and often buy things i wouldnt normally because it was so easy to find games. about a hour ago i decided to check the webstore while playing a game, good thing i hit save first knowing how unstable the pos store is. entire ps4 locked up on me and had to yank the plug out of the wall.

@MrTacoNinja What I meant was use the Web store. Most of us has had issues with the store since they reworked the layout in 2012 or something. 
Buy your shit from the webstore, use the download list to download them.

Not really, Sony hasn't been able to develop a web browser for the PS3 in 14 years that doesn't constantly freeze up when you try to watch videos on it...the incompetence of modern companies astounds me on a constant basis...and yet somehow it's become the acceptable norm.

 

 

Coffee makers lasting a couple of weeks, excessive out-of-the-box failure rates for electronics, continual recalls for automobiles, food contamination, day one game patches BIGGER than the size of the disc version of the game you bought etc etc etc...

When I worked for Playstation my boss (who was completely useless in all senses of the word) came into town as we were going to give a talk on the Vita (this was right before it came out) to all the store managers of EB.

 

This was right around the same time the store changed to the shit it is now. A couple of store managers asked "why did Sony changed the store" and because my boss is useless and never played games had no idea what he was talking about. I was told that "this was her show" before the meeting started as she always like to make sure you knew who was boss so I happily let her get questioned on the store as she fumbled for answers as she had absolutely no idea what the new or old store looked like or how they functioned

 

I was so proud of my store managers that day

Yeah it is getting ridiculous, after you have visited the store the PS becomes laggy as well. Even if you did not buy a thing.

Agreed with everyone else, use the webstore on PC, trying to use the store on console is absolutely impractical at best.

 

Oh and have fun if you ever get a Vita and want to download something from your download list, it's vastly worse.

I just prefer to do my shopping through web store, it's easier to purchase many things at once.

The PC web store is a junk too since they added the menu on top with My Playstation and the find icon. Searches go to inexisting pages and store crashes, forcing you to reload store home as it becomes in a unstable infinite loop. If you choose the extras or bundles for a game it takes you nowhere and store get nuts again. The search is the greatest shit ever. Sales are always a mess with games not on sale showing up, and several of the ones that should be there missing. The January sale that just started was showing me only half the pages cut in a 45 degree line.

 

Sony has no idea how to code Java decently. Neither promotion emails.

 

Best store was the Vita one, but unfortunately hasn't been updated for ages as all they do is "quality improvements" to try to patch holes in the system protection. Competent as they're, it's always full of them anyway.

I agree 100% with all of this. I have all the same problems. And YES(!), put the gazillion and one themes and avatars you flood the game sales section with every week in their own section like how it was on the PS3! Haaaaate that, lol!

Yeah it’s annoying, I just scroll down & look at everything & take note of what interests me & then use the search to get to it quicker when it’s time to add to my cart. 

 

I don’t have a pc so it’s either ps4 or mobile & I only use that to claim the plus games every month because it’s not that great either

That doesn't sound too bad tbh. I've always used the store on the consoles themselves & before my internet got an upgrade I used to get a timeout on checkout 7 times out of 10 & it would take an hour to buy a bunch of games from there. It also used to stop loading after I watched a video or two or added things to the cart & would almost always do it if I searched for something & I'd have to close it & open it again to get things back to normal. The Japanese store was an absolute nightmare with these problems and the difficulty in finding the one or two useful categories among tens of useless ones that just loop back on themselves highlighting how terrible the design of it all really is. 

 

I even had the ps4 crash once when I was aggressively adding stuff to the cart.

 

Since getting better internet I don't have any issues aside from the constant 'last sign in was on a different console' message that makes me enter CC details even when I'm using a prepaid card on my own countries store. Ultimately whenever I'm hitting the PS store up which is once a week on average I'm always blown away by how much of a stuff around it is just to buy something. 

 

I have had the same issue in the OP but compared with the time-outs I used to have it's the lesser of two evils ?

I made the mistake of getting the free stuff from The Last of Us on PS3 before it shut down to get the season pass etc., which added dozens of cosmetic items into my download list. Now those are all individually in the way whenever I want to get to anything before a few months ago, and I've had a Vita for a couple of years but a small memory card so there's a LOT down below I haven't gotten around to yet.

Never heard of this problem before. What browser do you use? Mine is Chrome. Vita Store was junk because it couldn't seen certain Vita-compatible PSOne Classics. Same for the Download List. The PSDLE is a lot better for all my needs.

Btw, on the web store can you view more than 12 games in the january sale at a time? Its a bit bothersome to click through all the dlc when theres 1000+ items in total in the list.

EDIT: i guess you can see them all through teh price drops section...

thanks for sharing. everytime i get pissed at the ps store now i at least got this story to know a fellow gamer/employee at least got one over on them lol. i hate those bigshots that know nothing about the product or company. i use to work at a window place and they went through 4 bosses in a year. they just kept hiring people with degrees but had no knowledge in making windows. they bought a $110,000 machine and the asshole couldnt get it to work in a week. finally me, a old hispanic guy, and 2 russians basically told him to move out of the way and we figured it out within about 3 hours. the guy was fucking useless

i forgot one other thing that annoys me to all hell, PS NOW!!! they always put ps now games in the sale. so as im browsing i see a title i like and stop and say wonder how much that is, oh its a fckn PS NOW game i cant buy. why the f is it even in the sales list!!!
