All,

The attack on completion has been a great motivator to increase completion percentage.

I do realize I'm facing some issues with achieving multiplayer trophies for some games(i.e. Far Cry 5) due to lack of gamers in my friends group.

Anyone open to helping out?

thanks! :)

Good luck all!

Have you tried looking at gaming sessions on here?  I saw there is one on Tuesday for Far Cry 5.  You can also create a session if that date and time doesn't work and no one here can help.  Best of luck, I don't own that game myself but I'm sure you'll find some help among the community here.

Now as far as my own stats go, yep they look right and I totally forgot to sync the trophies I got last night.  Vita games sometimes can be a pain about syncing because some games won't allow syncing while playing the game because you have to close it before syncing.  So now I'm back to 96.12%.  It went down due to my last minute attempt to finish something easy before RPG Mania ended, but failed to finish it in time.  Will wrap that up soon though.

So now that RPG Mania is over, I do want to get to really attacking my backlog of games I haven't started.  According the the PSNP Backlog add on, I have 78 games and 2,863 trophies  among the games I own and haven't started.  I want to get that number below 70, so I'm going to focus on trying to wipe out some of the easy stuff like the POWGI games, Pic-A-Pix games, and other stuff that is around 5-10 hours for the plat/100%.  I also am going to work on getting Kingdom Hearts 2 up to an A rank and then work on wrapping up Kingdom Hearts.  Doubt I'll get those done by the end of the month since this is going to be a busy month for me so that's why the focus is going to be on easy stuff from the backlog so I'll have more to show for my limited time.

Here's my progress update. This time around I've added some fields to my excel and also didn't cut any out. Quick link to last month for comparison.

I don't expect to be making this much of an increase in any of the upcoming months, so hopefully I can still reach my goal.

Progress: +0.279% (1.048% to go)

# Of Unfinished Games: -2

rDl8z3e.png

Games played this month:

  1. Caravan Stories: I didn't really play this one this month, I just had it running to grind out battles for the last trophy.
  2. Mecho Tales (Vita): This one felt like Mecho Wars by Denysoft to me. Honestly, the terrible gameplay mechanics and level design really makes this one feel more like Attacking Zegeta 2 than the actual Attacking Zegeta 2. It's definitely worth picking up for $1 whenever it goes on sale. It's pretty short (not Ratalaika short) but it's fun enough, especially since it's cross-buy.
  3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy: This is the first Uncharted game I've played since the first one. I thought I remembered the blonde girl from the first game was Chloe Fraser, but apparently Chloe is now Indian? I'm probably just misremembering. Don't be fooled by the guide's claim of 3/10 for a single playthrough! I'd put it at 6/10. Crushing is really hard in some parts and the guide doesn't even provide tips on the hardest battle, which is the first one after Sam joins your party. You don't have any weapons and have to defeat like 50 enemies that can all one shot kill you.
  4. Rainbow Moon: This is the single hardest game I have ever played. Again the guide straight up lies about the difficulty. 4/10? Ha! This game is the perfect example of 10/10 difficulty. Even regular non-boss battles can be extremely deadly and the only way to beat them is to save scum before every battle and keep reloading until you get a lucky enemy placement. In the end when I was level 500 with the best equipment and maxed stats I could barely defeat the level 260 enemies, no chance at any of the level 300+ enemies. I probably spent over 150 hours getting all the trophies, but then still had to grind out an extra 20 hours for the 100 hours trophy because all that time save scumming doesn't count towards the time played.
  5. Energy Cycle (NA/VITA): It's an OK puzzle game. I did it mostly legit, just using the level skip exploit to re-roll levels that were too hard or to restart at the same level after failing time attack mode. If I do the other stacks I'll probably just do the puzzle mode legit and use the exploit to skip the other two modes.
  6. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes: This game is not nearly as bad as I remember it when I first played 5 years ago. Still don't really get the hype why games like Metal Gear or Call of Duty are so popular though. I got 0.064% from this game so far, but now all that's left are the hard trophies. I haven't even attempted any of the missions in hard mode. Some of the missions were actually pretty easy and I accidentally got S rank without trying, but Ground Zeroes, Anti-Air, some of those missions are really tough. I don't know if I'll play this again any time soon.
  7. Brothers: A Tale of Two Brothers: This game is really, really, terrible! None of the dialog is in English and there are no subtitles so who knows what the plot is. What I could piece together was it's about two brothers (I'm just guessing this from the title) who kidnap an old man and then go around their village being jerks and murdering people. The most interesting puzzle in the game was "help your friend move apartments simulator" where you have to figure out how to maneuver the "couch" (a pipe) around corners. Most of the puzzles were solved by simply walking to the most obvious looking spot and then it turned out that was a puzzle all along.
  8. Here They Lie: I really thought Brothers was going to be the worst game I played this month then I played this one. Even for a walking simulator Here They Lie is especially bad. I hate when games try to be scary by making the screen dark and hard to see. I just turned the gamma all the way up so I could see perfectly clearly the entire time and never needed the flashlight. Another awful game mechanic is sometimes dying will respawn you past the current area so you need to either reload or backtrack to get the collectibles.
  9. Paraiso Island (EU): It's less glitchy now than when it originally came out in NA, but I still hit plenty of glitches. Easy 1 hour 100%.
  10. Fallout 76: I came into the month only needing 3 more trophies: I Am Become Death, kill the Scrochbeast Queen, and hit level 100. Well, I Am Become Death was my next quest so I played it. Going through the missile silo wasn't difficult so I'm not sure why people always talk about needing to form big parties to go through them. One trophy down. Since I was there I decided to fire the nuke on Fisher Price Prime to spawn the Scorchbeast Queen and try for that trophy. A level 300, two level 150s, and a level 80 showed up to help (I was level 50). We only did about 25% damage to the Queen. I was useless the entire time, you see I have a melee build and it turns out the Queen only spends about 2-3mins of the 30min time limit on the ground. Next day I was playing and server hopped to avoid a scorchbeast (even those regular enemies I can't beat because I have a melee character) and lucked out that the server I landed in had the Scorchbeast Queen event start right at that moment. And they were highly competent players who even pulled the Queen out of the nuke zone so there was no radiation to worry about. I ran over as fast as possible and whacked the Queen whenever she landed. Those guys tore the Queen apart and killed her in about 5 minutes. I did so little damage that I didn't get any experience from the kill, but since I was in the area I still got the trophy! All that's left is to hit level 100 which is going to take a long time...

Completely different games and different genres even. And I think CoD is 10 times more popular.

Have you played any other MGS games on PS1-PS2? If not, Ground Zeroes is a weird place to start playing this series, that's for sure.

Ground Zeroes is the first and only one I've played. The series never really appealed to me but I've got this one from PS+ (I also have the other Metal Gear Solid 5 from PS+ but not sure I'll play it).

My stats are spot on. At first I couldn't remember what game I finished but then I remembered I finished AC: Odyssey. The final DLC chapter was fantastic. I really hope the new one is Vikings.

A bit disappointed I started two new games this month. I have been sitting on rdr2 for the better part of 6 months and Medievil since release.

O well I have 11 months of progress to make!

Current PCG: 82.04%                    Total Games Started: 3
Total Increase: 1.46%                    Total Games Completed: 6

There's one mistake in mine. I only earned 3 platinums.

Thank you for making this. I appreciate it. It's a very nice overview. :)

Stats look fine. I did not start any new games in January while finishing 7. I gained less than a percentage point in completion. This confirms my earlier suspicion that to reach my goal I will have to devote my entire year to games currently in my profile without starting new ones. So not going to happen!

That said, I started Uncharted: Lost Legacy yesterday and so far totally enjoying it. Starting Chapter 3 today and hope to get thru it and Chapter 4 without using weapons or explosives to earn the least earned trophy in the game.

I finished up Call of Cthulhu this week. This is just the 2nd Horror game I have played. (The first, Bendy and the Ink Machine, I am still working on.) So I have little to compare it to. Having said that, the devs employed techniques and music to good use to heighten the suspense and crank up the horror factor. Gameplay controls handled well. Collectibles were easy to find without a guide. Trophies popped naturally without a guide up until Chapter 10. At that point your choices affect the 4 different endings required for trophies. For me, I was disappointed that the story left more questions than answers. Perhaps reading the book which the game was based upon may resolve that. Or perhaps the story is left unresolved to drive home the main character's descent into madness. Overall this game is well worth a look. 4 out of 5 stars simply because I didn't get the closure I desired on the storyline.

I think mine are correct, thanks.

The only thing is I see @EdgeOfPortal's numbers but don't see him tagged above.

Now onto February. I was going to start the month with MGSV. But I saw a boosting session for Tomb Raider MP and had to join. Got everything that i wanted from it and more thanks to those awesome people. Just need to grind for lvl 60 and buy all characters and upgrades. The Tomb Raider platinum is much closer than MGSV now, so I'm starting with that one instead.

Your stats are still super impessive. You completed more games in a month than I have on my profile ?

Yes, I’m not seeing my name there either. Been a bit of a slow start for me but I’m definitely still in the challenge.

Thank you for the update. I'm burning out, however I started vacation today till February the 14th. I keep getting new games and pushing them off to make my percentage not go down. I added the game Sigi last night and I felt that was a mistake cause I thought it was an easy 100. I saw the game on the youtuber Ibaddriver channel as cheap easy plat on sale. I was tired, when I started and was like a potatoe and only got one trophy. updated my trophies and dropped like 0.05 percent and was like uh oh.  got some rest and busted out the easy gold trophies. I feel better now.

I assumed it was like one of the Ratalaika games.

Some people were asking about my excel, so let's see if this works:

1. Create a Google Sheet, copy and paste the below into it in A1.

If you need more rows for games, hopefully you can figure it out. All of the empty cells need to be filled in manually. If someone can figure out a way to automatically pull that info from PSNP, I'd be interested to learn it. You'll also have to go through and size each column yourself, sorry.

EDIT: The PSN level formula here I think will only work if you're at least level 26. Levels below 26 level up with different numbers of points so the formula would be a bit different to incorporate those. There might be an error in that formula, it seems to be slightly off for what it shows my in my excel vs what PSNP shows.

EDIT2: Nevermind the PSN level formula should be right. I had forgot to update my sheet with my latest platinum so now it's showing the same as PSNP for me.

2. To automatically sort the games:

Select Tools > Script Editor

Add this code into the page that opens and save. This will automatically sort your games list based on how much they will boost your completion if you complete them.

If you add more rows for games then update the 29 to be whatever is the last row you have for games.

function onEdit() {
  var sheet = SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSheet();
  var range = sheet.getRange("A2:I29");
  range.sort({column: 9, ascending: false});
}

3. To automatically color the games based on completion:

Back in the spreadsheet, highlight your games rows.

Select Format > Conditional Formatting

In the pane that opens choose "+ Add another rule"

Make sure the "Apply to range" is A2:I29, same as what was in the script from step #2.

For format rule choose "Custom formula is" and "=$I2>0.5"

For "Formatting style" make the background red.

Repeat for beige and "$I2>0.2", green and "$I2>0.1".

Alternately you can choose your own colors and thresholds. It's kind of hard to describe, the pane should look something like this:

  1. King's Quest. The only thing stopping me is I somehow miss every time the DLC goes on sale. Hopefully it'll come on sale again this year.

King's Quest Complete Collection is on sale now (grr it's never the season pass!). I'm thinking to pick it up. I sure hope it maps to the trophy list I already have on my profile and not the one specifically called King's Quest: The Complete Collection.

The complete collection on the PSN store maps to this trophy list: https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/3725-kings-quest

I bought the complete collection on the PSN store and that's the trophy list it ended up being for me, the one you're linking is more than likely the physical version.  The digital complete collection ends up being more like a season pass because you'll have to download each episode individually rather than just have a single game download.
