How is this 2/10?

I can't beat barely any of the normal difficulty songs with brilliant.... not to mention that if your brilliant score is lower than when you beat it another time it doesnt even count it.

The support items can go a long way once you get them. Auto-scratch makes it where you don't have to worry about getting the scratches and eventually you can unlock the one where all notes can be hit with a single button making getting Brilliant rankings much easier.

As redgrave said, the support/accessibility options make it the game really really easy. plus it takes around a couple of hours to get the muscle memory for the button positions on the controller and you have to play through all the songs a few times so you will start to remember the patterns. 
I was in the same boat for my first hours or so. panicing that this was not a game for me. though persisting made it a great experience.
