Trophy Families Guide 2.0

*Mini Guide to get most of the trophies with these two families*

Hi all, been working on 2 families to allow people to get all of the career and skill trophies and a few misc ones too. All the Sim names relate to the career they have. If you search my name (Malachen) on the gallery by EA account ID or search by item name for Trop-Hee. There are 3 families here, the first one will allow you to get the career trophies for Writer, Tech Guru, Secret Agent, Athlete and Entertainer. The second family will allow you to get Astronaut, Criminal, Culinary, Business and Painter career trophies. The third family will allow you to get the Legacy trophies. The best lot to move them in to is Streamlet Single.

They are all at level 9 and near promotion so just make them Work Hard when at work and do their daily tasks.

 

The entertainer in the first family has all skills at 10 except for Charisma. Get her to practice speech in front of the mirror to get level 10 and all level 10 skill trophies will pop. (A couple of random trophies may pop at this point as well) This will work even if you have already unlocked the charisma trophy. The first family has over 1mil Simoleons which will pop the rosebud trophy when you put them into a new house . Writer in this family also has 4 out of 5 aspirations for the trophy completed and all she needs to do is write one more bestseller book and this trophy will pop. She has lots of traits to get this easily. If you buy an inspired potion from the rewards store with her points, then write a book, 9 times out of 10 she will write a bestseller. She also has a lot of points so you can buy the insta-large and insta-lean potions to get another trophy. Drink the large one then the lean one.

 

In the second family, Criminal and Painter are married. You can build a rocket and then WooHoo in it for a trophy. Get them to 100 friendship and then they have reached the max career level, you can then kill one of them using traits.equip_trait laugh to make one a ghost instantly. Move one of the 2 Sims into the lot next door at Bargain Bend then find them with their spouse and click Invite to Household to get Ghostly. You can then woohoo with the ghost for another trophy.

 

Use Entertainer to plant some seeds. Once they have grown, take a cutting and graft it onto another plant for another trophy. 

 

If you search triplets on the gallery as well you can find a pregnant woman that will allow you to get the triple play trophy without any RNG. EDIT: Make sure you don't have too many Sims in the household you merge this too.

 

NEW SECTION:

@Naomie_Len has created 3 families that allow you to get the Basket Case, Hello Darkness my Old Chum, Full House, and Ghost family trophies straight away. Simply download her 3 families and load them into a house. Within 30 seconds the trophy will pop and move on to the next family. Be sure to download them and give them a go.

 

@Phantochi and @NZBigC have tips for the black widow trophy as well. Apparently it doesn't have to be one SIM getting all 5 spouses dead. They report that you simply make a family of 8 people, 4 married couples. Kill off one half of each couple. Then enter manage household and add a new Sim to the household and set them as a spouse of one of the remaining 4 Sims. Load the house again and kill one of them off. The trophy should then pop for you.

 

@NZBigC has created a SIM for the circle of life trophy. Simply search Circle of Life 2 or for his name in EA account ID in the gallery and download the SIM. Set sim lifetimes to short in the options and speed through till she dies of old age.

 

@NZBigC Search either Item Name: Legacy Player or EA Account ID : NZBigC

 

Have the bald sim adopt a child. Have that kid blow out candles twice, then have that sim adopt a new child. The trophy popped for me after I did this.

 

You can also download a family from my name called Legacy Trop-hee family which will pop both the Legacy Player and the Alphabet Legacy trophies.

 

The trophy for all TV stations and radio stations should be the only remaining trophy which can be done with Entertainer Tate as she has 10 in Handiness and 9 is required for this trophy. 

 

I have tested that downloading these families still allows trophies to pop.

 

Hopefully this helps people get this platinum a lot quicker. If you have any questions or you think something needs clarifying, please let me know. 

 

EDIT: Something went wrong with the second family so I am taking it down while I fix it.

 

EDIT2: Family 2 is reuploaded now. The simoleons might not be working correctly though. If someone can check and let me know I'll look into it further.

 

EDIT3: Family 2 reuploaded, Rosebud trophy now pops correctly as soon as you load them on to a fresh lot, don't need to merge them with the other household.

 

EDIT4: Edited some parts of the guide which were a bit unnecessary.

 

EDIT 5: The crappy video guide I've made... Got no experience making videos and the in built video sharing seems to have cut me off early but this at least shows you the process for getting the families from the gallery and putting them in your game. If anyone wants to make a better one, let me know and I'll replace this with it.

Hmm might be be just traits.equip_trait laugh.

Haha, that trophy is basically why I gave up on this two years ago. Once I found out about the gallery and that you could use it to get the triplets trophy, I wondered if I could help with the other time consuming and tedious trophies. Glad this seems to have helped a few people already

You're welcome, if I wasn't now working on the Witcher with a time limit, I'd probably advance the careers a bit further to make them quicker to achieve. May do that after this month when I can look at it again.

Make a cake with one of the grown up Sims. One of the actions of the cake allows you to put candles on the cake. Once this is done, blow the candles out or make a wish on the cake with the Sim you want to age up. The same cake can be used for several Sims and several age ups.

can some one make a video of the process. I tried a few times but the trophies dont pop. I think i am missing something and cant put the finger on it.

Thank you so much man. Did everything and got all possible trophies from your guide. 10 trophies left for me. The only problem for me right now is the triplets trophy. I have tried downloading a pregnant sim with triplets 8 times from the gallery but all i got are twins everytime. Are the uploader just trolling or is there really a problem???? 

 

Anyone got the same problem as me or anyone actually download from gallery and got triplets???

I downloaded from the gallery and got a Sim that gave birth to triplets. I'll see if I can find the name of the one I downloaded to get the trophy. Are you starting it as a fresh family or importing it into another family? You can only have a max of 8 Sims in a family so if you have 6 Sims, they can only give birth to twins.

 

I'll find out the name of the one I used a little later.

 

EDIT: found the name it was called Pregnant with Triplets and the username who uploaded it was lihi310.

I used both of your families, and max writter, athletic, bussiness, astronaut, painter, tech guru and super agent didn't unlock, tried both of them twice, and culinary didn't popped with the others, took a while for that one

So you downloaded the families and sent them to work until they got their last promotion and the trophy for each career didn't pop when you got to the last promotion? This is how they currently work but I am testing something tonight to see if I can get them to auto pop with the other trophies which may help.

I don't know actually, spend a few hours playing, they went to work 10~15 times, maybe that's what i did wrong then, weird thing is that some careers popped outside of work, the culinary popped when she was playing at the pc, and the criminal popped alongside some skills, i'll try again one more time sending then more times to work and praticing skills

Hmm, very odd. I shall test this again and see if I can replicate the error.

 

Anyone else following this come up against an issue popping career trophies? 

 

I have tried a number of ways to get the career trophies to pop with the Sim already at level 10 but it doesn't seem to pop the same way as the skill trophies which is why you need to get the promotion while controlling the family.

Yes, it does but you cant use the pc stuff, it's useless on PS4, only if people using the normal DLC without mods.

I used family #1 and got the career trophies once they hit final promotion, and it took prolly 4-6 times going to work while making them work hard also made sure the daily task got done under there promotion tasks. Also got all there skill trophies from ones they had maxed at 10, but I noticed they didn't unlock unless I hit 10 in something else in there skill tree.

Family number 2 is the one to use for skills. Entertainer Tate has all skills maxed except Charisma. Have her stand in front of a mirror practicing speech to get her to level 10 which will then pop ALL skill trophies.

 

I will try and work on getting each Sim closer to their promotion as I am aware it takes quite a few times to level them to 10. Been working on Witcher 3 and wanted to make sure the families were uploaded so people could at least cut a lot of time off the Platinum. I shall work on getting them to only need to go to work once to get the promotion tonight.

I'm not sure if these can be accessed on the Xbox version. Would be interesting to see if someone has that version whether or not they can see my downloads.
