Mine is getting shipped to me and you can always get it digital.

File size could be a issue for some people and some people might not have funds on their switch.

Shipping being limited to essentials would rule out shipping it.. it's a mess.

Had a few games I ordered from Amazon and just arrived today, and a dvd that is already shipped and suppose to arrive next tuesday see how that goes.
I also ordered Animal Crossing New Horizons on Best Buy still says get it by friday, but we'll see how that goes. Ends up being delayed I wouldn't hold it against them since not much they can do about if if things are getting closed down.
Don't know if the other item will get stuck between carriers or not, but if it does hopefully it doesn't get lost somewhere and arrives eventually anyway since I already paid for it.
Already had my work closed today and not sure when I'll be working again might have to start looking for a different job if it doesn't recover from this.

I can say that here in Portugal, we are also at quarantine, even though they will be deciding tomorrow whether we should be or not in a state of emergency, and it seems our Prime-Minister and President are not agreeing with each other AFAIK.

Since yesterday I started working remotely. Obviously, all of my outdoors and social activities have been suspended. I only leave home every two days for a 30-min jogging. I live on the countryside and near my home there are many wide roads with no habitation or passerbys, so it's perfect for me to get some fresh air... It is for my mental sanity, LOL until they put us on a 100% quarentine which is a very likely outcome.

We have to be very supportive for each and never had my Whatsapp Groups been so active with so many friends of mine sharing things to do at home and things that are going on social media, like direct concerts, games, stuff to watch and read.

Stay safe guys. We will be alright and this will have a good ending for us. We will need to get through some hardships first, though and we will need to be very patient. ;)

The most important thing as someone said here is not panicking, because even though we have to take this sereously there is no reason to panick, first than all because the infection by COVID19 can be avoided easily by taking all precautions, and secondly, because the rate of mortality of those infected is actually low.

There are people making fun out of the situation by trying to scare people telling them lies like: we're living a zombie apocalipse, and many of us might think that this is horrible just because we haven't lived that much to even have a notion of what "horrible" actually is. You were only asked to stay home and see how the situation evolves, China apparently overcame the crisis of COVID-19, so did South Korea, where the rate of infection has been flattening as well: https://www.visualcapitalist.com/infection-trajectory-flattening-the-covid19-curve/?fbclid=IwAR2zZOhbfXKssKXVyeOu29f9hZBN7-ZnUKz2CQ3ncAD1n41WM9SqgMRQMvg

In Europe on the other side things doesn't seem to march that well, but specialist are taking all necessary measures. For example, now that the situation in China is much better, they are actually starting to help the rest of the world who is facing this. For example, China sent a plain full of experts in the topic and supplies to Italy a few days a go, where the virus where the situations is at its worst in the planet.

In Southamerica, cases are still increasing, for example, here in Colombia the incoming of extrangers has been forbidden, presential lessons at any educative institution have been suspended and only done via internet, and many other even have been cancelled. Many other countries with no cases "like el Salvador" are also taking measures.

I don't wan't to say, this is nothing we should worry about, of course it concerns all of us, but again, no panic, perhaps it will continue to spread for some weeks, but there is no apocalypse, and humanity will not end because of this. The worst thing that might happen, is that you will probably have to cancell many of your plans for this summer due to quarantine, but take avantage of the situation and do what you like the most at home.

Mortality rate isn't what should be considered as low but I agree with the rest of your post. Here are the numbers for comparison. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_human_disease_case_fatality_rates This is worse than the Spanish Flu! Considering how far we've come in a hundred years its way way worse.

I really wish our government would have the guts to close the border to foreigner entirely. Citizens returning are subject to 14 days of isolation but tourists are not? Makes no sense. Please everyone stay home, stay away from me, and Ill return the favor. :)

I hate to ask this on here about this... but... I've done as much research as I can (I really have) and I seriously don't know what else to do.

So... um... I actually technically have a heart condition. It's called WPW. Wolff–Parkinson–White. Although what I was actually told is that I'm 'borderline' WPW.

Basically... my heart will sometimes race and beat really fast but it doesn't happen every day. It's only... every once in awhile. I sometimes go a whole year without it happening.

I'm trying to figure out if I'm at a higher risk of... well... dying if I happen to get it. So I'm trying to figure out if I should stay home or continue to go to work.

Oh... and the parent I live with is expecting me to continue to go so there's almost no choice.

So... yeah... help? Suggestions? Advice?

If I disappear... well... yeah...

Considering how everything is right now, I don't understand why so many countries keep receiving tourists or why that many people are still planning to travel.

A trip to Europe specially is absolutely no worth at this moment, considering how many risks people undergo by doing that, specially due to quarentine, I mean, do you prefer quarentine at home with your family or in a ship in the middle of the occean?

If we avoid travels at least during the next 30 days, I'm sure the infection curves will decrease and that would be the clue to get rid of the pandemy once and for all. For example, here in Colombia we have 65 confirmed cases so far, and 80% of them came from a trip, specially Spain. I was planning a trip for this year to northern Europe, but it was already cancelled before I even started buying a booking everything "thanks to god".

Advice: This is a question to ask a physician, preferably one that knows your medical history, and not a random stranger on the internet.

I'm concerned for animal crossing fans, if they cant get the new game when it comes out then I dread to think of the fandom . They are already desperate for it as it is..

I hope stores honor pre orders even if they are collected a month late..

I'm concerned as well. I will have no choice but to go with a digital copy.

Yes and no. If the virus is already there it doesn't really matter how many people come in now as your own citizens are spreading it around. Now if you country locks down its citizenry that is one thing but if people insist on going out because they "feel fine" then all the tourists in the world won't matter.

I am happy to say after a lot of debate we were finally told to go home today. The big problem was all the people in my office today complained about the risk of being at work but then refused to wear gloves, refused to keep their distance and refused to wash hands regularly. After they were told to go home they hugged and high fived each other. People like myself were seen as the "weird ones" as we kept pushing for more protective measures as the rest of them just wanted the time off.

All we can hope is people actually listen and stay home for the next couple of weeks but I know so many people are still holding their socials, or birthdays or going out and just not understanding what their actions are doing long term.

Hi All. I was a Passenger on the Diamond Princess and had spent 2 weeks Quarantine on the Ship in Yokahama and a further 2 weeks here in Australia. The Psychological toll is very apparent in my mental well being after 29 days Quarantine. We spent most time with 8 Americans and a few Canadians, they where all sent back to Quarantine in the states and the American Embassy had broken the Quarantine by 3 days, The Americans and Australians where lied to and we where all exposed to people who had the virus on the coach and flights transporting us. The Japanese Quarantine was actually fine but it was like hell doing it all over again in an environment similar to prison.

Lets talk about the virus, We where exposed to this for 15 days on the cruise and within the countries we visited, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan and of course Japan. We where then all exposed again by our wonderful embassies and their brain dead administration. We are both lucky we didn't catch this as so many had and a few people from the ship have died. We didn't wear a mask anywhere as we didn't know this was even happening but clearly the tourists from mainland China did. It was Chinese new years and on the actual New Year everyone had masks on except us, for someone who frequently spends time there it was obvious something was up.

In short, there is really nothing we can do except wear a mask and keep clean. There is nowhere outside safe imo.

I'm in the UK and we're pretty bad here, i haven't been able to buy toilet paper for ages. It's like gold dust. Because everyone was going mad with hoarding, supermarkets have now set a limit of only 3 of the same item for all items even fresh food at the grocery store, closed all deli, salad and fresh meat/butcher counters, and all the 24 hour stores will now shut at 10pm. They also made mornings for elderly only, and they also get priority for home delivery slots. Soon the UK will be hit hard with a deep recession from this, unemployment will sore and house prices will plummet....

I really hope a treatment and vaccine comes soon, or this will only get worse

This site ( https://www.malacards.org/categories/cardiovascular_disease_list ) lists it as a cardiovascular disease. And this chart

Coronavirus-CFR-by-health-condition-in-China.png

says the case fatalities are high for cvd. I'd say you're probably at a higher risk yeah.

Went to the store today to get something. Pretty much all the stuff you'd expect (TP, soap) was gone. Still most of everything else. I bought some Kleenex. It may not be ideal, but it COULD be used as TP if needed. Not that we're hurting for it anyway. We bought a ton before things got too crazy. I typically am a stay at home person, so it isn't impacting me too much yet...but I know how quick things could change.

WELP.

I'm done. I'm not going to work anymore. I plan on sending an e-mail to them as such and they can choose whether or not they lay me off or not.

I've done everything I can to find out if I'm at a higher risk to die from this or not (yes I contacted my doctor) and I still have no information on this at all.

I'm not risking my life and well being by continuing to to go to work. I've joined literally everyone else in the 'self-isolation' club. I'm not sick. But I'm not taking any more risks. AT ALL.

Welcome to Plague 2020. I guess.

The first Coronavirus related death in Maryland was reported just a little while ago.

I work in retail and have seen how people are buying up supplies. We had a delivery today and will see in the morning what come in. It really is proving quite challenging to keep up with customer demand when we can't keep stuff on the shelves. We have signs on the doors that it is a limit of 2 to 3 of Toilet paper and paper towels, Hand Sanitizer (haven't had that in 2 weeks) and disinfectant sprays and wipes. They are still trying to buy more than what is allotted.

You're doing the right thing, I can't even begin to explain the torment of my experience and the unavoidable paranoia that won't go away. Being on top of this is the right mentality so good on you.

+52 confirmed cases in a day in Russia (199 total). Looks like it's starting to spread here.

In some regions people started panicking a couple of days ago. The two food items they're mostly hoarding are chiken and pasta/macaroni, from what I've heard.

Belgium is very close to being in lockdown. Stores are open but banks, clothing stores, barbers etc. are mostly only open once a week. Students can’t go to school for 3 weeks but our health minister said if the infected rate keeps going up: schools will stay closed till the Summer, maybe even till July-August. The minister of Antwerp said that Belgium might reach 50% of the population will be infected. Everyone is adviced to stay at home, wash their hands, don’t shake hands, stay away from each other. A lot of people are buying loads at stores: toilet paper being number 1. Then food, mostly canned and frozen. The stores were that bad, we had to travel to the Netherlands to get a better shot at buying food and drinks.

Also any person can get this easily, doesn’t matter what age or how healthy you are. Even if you don’t have symptoms you can have it without knowing and pass it on to someone else (who could die from this - you don’t know who has bad lungs or has a low immunity system)

Stay safe and please protect yourself as well as others.

The portuguese President declared last night state of emergency for the country. Today the government will approve and establish the rules for the next 15 days.

Basically, we can only leave home for what's necessary. Some basic services and structures are still open, but they already encourage to do most things possible at home. We can still take a walk, take our pets ou run for a short timespan, if we are alone and respect the recommendations.

Cool for me, since I've been running every two days on the countryside. :)

Yep same. Although i was able to buy the necessary things last night though. A lot of smaller supermarket only allow a set amount of people inside too.

Been working from home since Tuesday as well.

Funnily enough, even though we're practically in lockdown, the state is very adamant that the general public does not call it a lockdown but a 'strict confinement'. As if semantics really matter at this point. :giggle:

@LoveInHell, @xZoneHunter, what region are you from (if you don’t mind me asking)?

I’m from Antwerp myself and I work for public transport. I have no choice but to go to work since I work at the heart of the company. My coworkers and me staying at home means no public transport ... Not that that’s what most people need right now. Numbers of passengers dropped to something between 2 and 5%.

Every measure must be taken and nothing is extreme within this context.

Where I live someone came up with the story of the chess board and wheat grains to explain the situation:

That means, how only 1 COVID-19 case is enough for all of us to take all possible measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

I'm from Antwerp too. I'm a network engineer so i usually sit behind a PC all day anyway. Being at home instead of at the office is only a minor inconvenience.
