Absolute dog shit! The developers could've done sooo much with this game. The developers (SMH)... you cheap, lazy, uncreative idiots. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Not just for the ridiculously mind-blowing overpriced price tag but for the overall quality of this game as well as the utter lack of effort! Never have I seen laziness and uncreativity on a scale like this before. Lets run down the checklist, shall we? -The same maps over and over again, just rearranged differently. You kidding me with this? -Repetitive garbage loot (which can barely be seen when it drops half the time). The stats are so basic, boring and generic that it brings no diversity to your character. Forget trying to make any kind of cool, specific build and don't expect anything decent either like Heroics and Sets unless you're playing on higher difficulties in Relic Hunts or Boss Rush mode AFTER you've completed all 5 of the boring, repetitive chapters this pool of diarrhea has to offer. Hell, even the Heroics and Sets have the same old stats. They're only ever better if you're wearing a complete set and get the set bonuses. So yup, other than that you'll get the same old shit loot with the same old repetitive stats. Complete, utter GARBAGE the loot is in this game. What makes RPG's fun and addicting? The loot! Why make me wait until the damn game is over with and force me to not only play on much higher difficulties but make me grind my ass off just to get loot that's worth a flying fuck?! I mean seriously how is this even enjoyable to people? -No customization, no stats like health, strength, dexterity, etc., to put points into. The skill tree, while decent in quantity, is shit when you really look at everything. I noticed quite often that the highest rank in a specific skill would oftentimes be worse than the tier below it, which is just confusing to me. Isn't the point of having a 3-tier skill tree to offer improvements as your skills get higher? Do you dimwit developers not comprehend how skill upgrades are supposed to work? -Constant sound/music/game glitches, not to mention the several-second freezes, permanent freezes and system hard-locks! I just can't believe how bad it was! Did anyone test this shit??? -Loading times that sometimes take way too long for something as basic as what you get in this game. No excuse for it. -The most retarded, generic enemies over and over again that a child could've programmed better. Every enemy you face is a generic, boring, copy/paste replica with no resistances, auras, immunes - nothing other than that Slow and Get-Over-Here Mortal Combat bullshit they consistantly like to spam! Another words, nothing enjoyable about the combat. No effort whatsoever! -Boring, boring, BORING, repetitive gameplay! -No exploration/hidden chests/loot to find or puzzles to solve. Nope, gone is any of that. The chests just show up on your minimap so no need to go out of your way to explore. -The game sucks at really explaining anything to you. -No vendors to purchase items from. Just some stupid trading guild that you offload all the shit loot you find in exchange for passive skills (which are worthless anyway). Seriously?!?! Merchant's are part of what makes an RPG fun! -Waaaaaaay overpriced! Sixty fucking dollars on the PSN store just for the base game!? For this functional piece of garbage?! Are you out of your mind?!?!?! How dare you! In no way, shape or form is this game even worth a fraction of that price. I paid $17.28 (after tax) on ebay for it and I stll feel ripped off! -No NPC's to interact with other than the main questline characters and the Guild dude. -No side quests? Really???? But than again that's a good thing because it would only serve to drag this shit game on longer. No thanks. -Drab, boring, lifeless environments with no sense of atmosphere or depth. The few locations you visit are just dead with nothing at all to do in them. The 3 main hub areas are lifeless. The same repetitive, reused levels are lifeless (other than the trash mobs of the same old copy/paste enemies that get thrown at you). My god with this shit, show some bloody effort somewhere for fuck's sake! -No lore or anything else to help you get immersed into this world. Nothing at all. -If you like stories in video games and it's what makes or breaks a game for you than you WILL be disappointed completely here. -The same music, next to no variety. Couldn't be bothered to add more score pieces to your shit game? -No weapon crafting or upgrade systems in place for loot other than socketing gem stones into them (gee, what effort on the dev's part) and you don't even freak'n get to do this until the game is damn near done during your first, initial playthrough. None of it is explained to you either or even highlighted what the goddamn item adds to the weapon/armor until you socket it. Who designs a game like this??? You can't make your own items, dismantle them or scrap for resources. None of that. The crafting or whatever it's supposed to be is absolute garbage and the worst I have ever seen! -The LAMEST endgame content I have EVER seen! Boss Rush, Expedition, Relic Hunt, Invasion (whatever that is - never bothered with it): that's it! Once you reach level 50 there are no more skill points, no more Favor points - nothing to help the growth, development and build of your character any further! Oh gee you get to rank up in "Legend" status, whoop-dee-fucking-do! Congrads, your attack goes up slightly. Yay. My god how can people like this horrible game and praise it and continue to play it? WHY??? -Often times I noticed that when I fully blessed an item the random bonus skill or skills I'd get would be for a character I'M NOT EVEN CURRENTLY USING! You ignoramous developers, good god! I noticed it happened more on Elessa, the archer, more than any of the others. It kept giving me bonus stats that pertained to the Mage's skills! Incompetent morons. -The developers are such incompetent idiots that during couch co-op I was several levels higher than my partner and every piece of equipment my partner got was MY level, therefore she couldn't equip any of it. Failed to factor that one in, eh? How stupid are you developers? Not to mention that at first it's hard to even figure out HOW to invite a couch co-op buddy. -There are several tedious trophies in this game but this trophy here Happily ever after... Finish the game as all characters was the absolute worst! Not kidding man, the WORST! Just playing through it once and I was ready to eat a bullet! Four times?! Uuuuugh! Seriously, have fun with this one. To those of you out there that were lucky enough to glitch this trophy before they patched it you have no idea the anguish you dodged. Honestly I can keep going and going with what's wrong with this game, not even exaggerating. Absolutely NOTHING is done right here (other than the graphics)! I've read some people's comments (not on here, throughout the internet) saying "great game", "fun game", etc., and I was appalled! What the heck is wrong with people?! This is what makes a game "great" and "fun" for you??? You can't be serious! YOU are the reason developers get away with garbage like this! I'm sorry but if this is what you consider to be a good game than it's not just the developers that need to have thier heads examined. But hey, don't take my word for it. Go, buy this game. Play it. Have fun. If you're not ready to chew your face off by the end than God bless ya! NOT counting the difficulty related trophies (because I had help breezing through the Chaos 2 Boss Rush trophies and was able to glitch the Chaos 5 trophy), I give this horrendous pile of shit a 5/10 in difficulty and that's not because the game itself was hard. But due to all the reasons stated above and the fact that I have NEVER been this bored and uninterested in a game before in my life it made getting through this shit and getting the platinum an UNBEARABLE endeavor. I doubt you'll listen but do yourself a favor: AVOID THIS GAME! Don't support developers like this that put shit for effort into their game and took FOREVER to patch the 5 trillion problems that initially plagued it upon release... not that it's much better now, mind you. Compared to all the RPG's I've played between the PS3 and PS4 this one goes in my book as being the worst. And agreed completely, any of the DLC available is absolutely pointless and isn't worth a single penny from your wallet. This same lack of creativity and effort you see in the DLC is dominant throughout the entirety of the base game - every aspect of it. Anyway, this pile of horrendous shit has now blue-lighted my system 4 times and this time around my system hasn't been able to recover and bounce back from it. Fucking piece of shit game. No game has ever done this to my system. Play it at your own risk. -UPDATE- I got my system working again but this time around it took a hell of a lot longer to finally boot for me. Coincidence or is it really this game that's doing it? Like I said, never once had this problem until this game here. -UPDATE- My hard drive is fried and I now need to replace it. Maybe it was just bad timing and the game itself had nothing to do with it at all. If that's the case than my apologies for some of the information I listed as being the game's fault (crashing, stalling, lagging, freezing, etc.). There was a patch that dropped while I was still playing it that added a free, new character but I rejected the patch fearing it might glitch a trophy or add another playthrough to that god-awful "Finish the game as each character" trophy. Compared to an ARPG like Diablo 3 this game certainly leaves a lot to be desired, but it’s actually not that bad. It’s fun to play for a couple hours at a time, any more than that and I start getting bored. I got such a kick out of reading your rant though because there’s a lot of truth to what you said, even if I find it a lot more bearable than you do. ? It’s worth noting that there’s since been a couple exploits discovered. If you have a 2nd controller and a save file right before the final boss, you can apparently rip through the Happily Ever After trophy in about 30-40 minutes. Thank god for that because I definitely wouldn’t want to run through the campaign 6 times legitimately. I just tried it a short while ago with another person here from PSNP and it worked like a charm. You can either do the 2 controller method, or simply have a save in front of the final boss and invite your friends in on lvl 1 characters to get credit for completing the campaign too. Just drop the difficulty down to Very Easy and the boss goes down in 5 seconds. I feel bad mentioning this here lmao but in case someone else stumbles upon this thread I thought I’d let ppl know the pain is drastically reduced with this method. Skargarim Posted July 25, 2022 Share Posted July 25, 2022 I do agree that this game is rather dull, but it's good fun for a while. decided to play it because it is on PS+ Extra. wanted to play it for a while, but I'm glad I payed for it by upgrading to Extra rather than buying the game itself. Everything you say is on point, but for some mindless slaying it's fine. On the other hand, with Warhammer games there's a 80%+ chance that the game sucks, so expectations are pretty low.
