Popular Post Andrea9281 Posted March 27, 2020 Popular Post Share Posted March 27, 2020 (edited) Announcement Link There's not much information for it yet, not even a release date, but this is definitely a game I'm excited to pick up on PS4. The original N64 version is one of my favourite games from that era, and one of the few I've actually tried to go back and play in recent years. A control update/modernisation is sorely needed so I'm glad they are promising that. This game is quite different (and much harder) than Racer Revenge, which is already on PS4. Notably, there is much less emphasis on destroying enemy podracers because racers respawn relatively quickly. There are also a bunch of hazards on each map that can destroy you, whereas in Racer Revenge it is quite difficult to die due to the course. I think this makes for a much more challenging experience, so it will be interesting to see what the trophies look like. Anybody else looking forward to this one? Any other classic Star Wars games you think should be ported to PS4/PS5? I wouldn't mind seeing Republic Commando and the KOTOR games for sure. Source While it's a bit disappointing, I think the reasoning here is absolutely fair. I suspect we'll be seeing similar announcements for many many other games in the months ahead. Source Wasn't planning on playing it for quite a while (no PS4), but dang, I would have loved to already learn what's on the Trophy list. A Platinum, I would hope. No word on the trophy list itself, but it is confirmed that the game will have a platinum. From the press release: Quote Trophy hunters will be happy to hear that we’ve added Trophies. I loaded up the game so I could share the trophies with everyone. Might make a guide to the game in the next day or two - it's quite a straightforward and fun list that basically just requires you to play the game as normal. Unfortunately the trophy tiles are quite bland and seem to all feature the game's box art, just like the recent Jedi Academy PS4 port. I would've loved to have tiles featuring some of these old character models lol, especially for those where you unlock specific racers.
