Started playing this one again:

Dragon Age: Origins

dragon-age-origins-2-original_zps271e9b6

+ There's a story behind everything, the world's an oyster

+ Characters are well-written, Oghren's my favourite

+ Choices, some are easy, some...not so

+ Morrigan's initial choice of outfit

+ Sandal!

- Framerate tends to slow down too often, disturbing

- Lots of bugs, nothing game breaking though

- Loading/saving, takes too long

Still as good as I remembered, a fine choice for any RPG-fan.

Two thumbs up.

9/10

Hunted: The Demon's Forge (PS3) - A solid 8. Its a pretty simple and straightforward game but on the flip side there's nothing all that special about it. Still good overall tho

The Germinator (Vita) - So far, a 7.5. The difficulty is a bit inconsistant and Arcade mode is very unforgiving.

Just Cause 2 (PS3) - Another 8. I love the huge open world and the destruction based gameplay. However, if not played in doses it can get stale after awhile since there really isn't a whole lot variety in gameplay.

SuperFrog (Vita) - Still too early to give it a fair grade but I can tell you I like it so far. It definately takes me back to my childhood and reminds me why I fell in love with gaming in the first place :)

DARKSIDERS 2

+ The story is amazing and the writing is flawless

+ Stunning graphics and the NPC all look amazing

- there are way too many dungeons, you never really get to experience the amazing visuals all you see is cave walls

- there are 100+ collectibles... Do i need to say more

The game gets a 7/10

VITA Soul sacrifice - really enjoying it so far and cant wait to eventually kick Magusar's smug face in. 7/10

PS3 Batman arkham origins - again really enjoying this, I loved Asylum and City was a great sequel so this had quite a reputation to live up to and I think its doing a great job so far 7/10.

PS3 Beyond Two souls - just completed this and although I enjoyed the game I can appreciate why others may be unimpressed. The game play is fine its just the story isn't as strong as Heavy Rain so this was always going to struggle. 5/10

For PS3 (not Vita):

rainbow-moon-1_zps75bc6ad0.png

+ Colourful graphics are easy on the eye

+ Great soundtrack, reminds me of Super Metroid and (metroidvania) Castlevania series

+ Lots of grinding, me likey

+ A lengthy run for a cheap game

- Foodbar system, constant feeding breaks the flow of the game

- Uneven difficulty, varies from breeze to crushing

- Limited inventories, I like mine to be UNlimited

Basically a 100+ hour grind fest.

I'm having a serious love/hate relationship with this one.

Why does it have to be this addictive?

8/10

Saints Row The Third 9 out of 10...easy game, lots of questionable antics, and plenty of things to do.

Warframe 6 out of 10...which means it's a better than average game but has a lot of glitches, a steep learning curve, and no trophies. Still for the explorer in me and the fact that it is a PS4 game has me trying to move forward in this game.

Guacamelee!

+awesome fighting and platforming mechanics

+awesome art style, kind of looks like paper cutouts

+unlocking new abilities is paced very well so it keeps you entertained and doesn´t get too repetitive

+platinum is easy and fun

+you can unlock hard mode right away and it doesn´t interfere with your trophies

+platforming parts involving dimension shifting

+local co-op

+sense of humor

-should have had more side quests

-some of the platforming challenges are way too hard

-hard mode seems unbalanced

-arenas sometimes chaotic

9/10

DragonAgeII_zpsfb6540b1.jpg

+ Some cool new characters, mainly Varric

+ Main character is no longer a strong, silent type

+ Isabela's got great...errm...dual blades

- Boring scenery, just city walls or roads

- There's only one blueprint for the kazillion mansions and hideouts

- Combat's not as fluid as hoped, Hawke does a lot of standing still in battles

- The main plot is far less interesting than in the first one

This game reeks greed.

Overall package is a very unfinished, very "grey" experience.

There is some good to be found, you just have to dig deep.

Like, Deep Road deep.

7/10

Finished this game already, but it deserves a (late) rating:

Guybrush_zpscae0ce2f.jpg

+ Five chapters, so there's plenty of bang for your buck

+ It's Monkey Island, those who love the earlier ones will adore this one also

+ The humour and charm are still there

+ Puzzles are not hard, but still rewarding

- Some technical hiccups (as in every Telltale Games series tend to have)

- I liked the old school graphics better

- Controls are stiff, especially when walking/running

- Never been a fan of the Voodoo Lady

Monkey Island is a dish best served with small portions.

Not as good as The Walking Dead, understandably, but vastly better

than Back to the Future: The Game.

Recommended for any point-and-click fan, if there still are any left.

With every ep...LOOK, A THREE-HEADED MONKEY!!!

8,5/10
