Popular Post evs_castro
Hello, welcome to my corner of platinums and experiences! Decided to open this to share my completed games and thoughts about them. I love to see what games other people are completing and what the journey felt to them, but i was wondering why i wasn't sharing my own experiences. So, here i am. ? A few things before the actual list: - Feel free to comment about anything, just be respectful! - I'm not that creative so i used other checklists as a reference for mine, especially Arcesius' since his is pretty organized and well displayed. - I apologize in advance for my english, i'm not a native speaker. But i see this as an opportunity to get better at it. LIST OF GAMES WITH A PLATINUM TROPHY 1-27 Spoiler #1. Watch Dogs [PS4] (February 2016) - Bad Blood DLC (November 2019) Despite a lot of people saying the game is dull and complaining about graphics, i loved Watch Dogs. Yes, Aiden Pearce is pretty boring and always looks like he is on diarrhea but the open world and cool acessories he have compensate for it, and being able to completely stealth a lot of parts is really nice aswel. The DLC doesn't have an interesting plot but gave me some more hours of fun. The hardest trophy for my was Disk Space Full, from the base game. Finding the last song took me 4 hours of walking around the same area analysing people! #2. Need for Speed: Rivals [PS4] (July 2016) The game came with my first PS4, so i decided to give it a go and man... i had loads of fun with it! I enjoyed playing much more as a cop than as a racer, the faction have awesome abilities to stop people during races. The hardest trophy for me was Gold Master, some gold medals are really annoying to get. #3. Far Cry 4 [PS4] (October 2016) - Valley of the Yetis DLC (July 2019) I had recently played Far Cry 3 on the Xbox 360 when i got the chance to play FC4. The mountain environment isn't quite my style but i still enjoyed everything else about the game. I had loads of fun taking outposts using pure stealth! The DLC, on the other hand, was a chore for me: the story wasn't interesting, the missions were forgettable and the yetis were pretty annoying. The hardest trophy wasn't hard per se, it just gave a little bit more trouble than all the others: The People's Champ, from the base game. Took me a few tries to overcome the last level in the arena. #4. Ether One [PS4] (December 2017) Was curius about this game since it was popping everywhere at the time and i got it dirty cheap, so decided to get the platinum. This is one of those platinums that, with a guide, can be done in around 8 hours, without one can take like 25. Some of the trophies are pretty tough to figure it out even the location of the activity related to it. The hardest trophy was Lucid because one of the projectors puzzle was broken back when i played (don't know i they ever fixed) and didn't worked as intended. #5. Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations [PS4] (December 2017) I watched the first 4 seasons of the show and was really hooked to it, so decided to try one of the games. This was the only one available on the PS4 at the time so i bought it on a sale and played. The game is really designed for kids, its EXTREMELY simple. It's also short and the platinum can be done in a day, having a difficulty of 1/10 imo, seriously. The hardest trophy was Snail's Place just because it can make you do some backtracking to find all the snails. #6. Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag [PS4] (January 2018) - Blackbeard’s Wrath DLC (July 2019) - Freedom Cry DLC (July 2019) Even tho this was my first Assassin's Creed platinum, i've played almost every game before Black Flag on other platforms. I just LOVED the caribbean setting of this game and sailing was just a blast. A lot of the times i avoided using fast travel just to enjoy the sea and that sailor's song is still in my mind after so many years. Anyway, the main game was awesome! The DLCs not so much... the story one (Freedom Cry) seemed rushed as hell and the Blackbeard's Wrath only added a few trophies that required boosting since the online was almost dead when i was going for the 100%. The hardest trophy was Committed to the Cause due to the boring grind that i had to do to achieve level 55 on the multiplayer. #7. Assassin's Creed Unity [PS4] (January 2018) - Dead Kings DLC (January 2018) The game that a lot of people remember for the glitches and bugs, but i didn't experienced any issues with it. I had a really good time with this game, especially with the Frech Revolution setting since i'm graduated in History. Being able to experience that period of time was just amazing, even though Arno is a very mediocre assassin and i wasn't interested in his personal story at all. One feature from the game that i really liked was the investigations, had a lot of fun with those. The DLC wasn't any masterpiece but since it was free, i 100% it aswell. The hardest trophy for me was No Man's Land, had a lot of trouble with some of the rift missions. #8. Killzone Shadow Fall [PS4] (January 2018) I kept this game in my mind for a while after buying the PS4, i kinda wanted to experience as much of the launch titles that i could. So, after a long time, i decided to get the game a play it. Gotta say, even this being my first of the series i could understand a lot of what was going on, this is a plus. The game is gorgeous and has some really interesting elements, like that drone you can use. They tried to put stealth in the game but sometimes it just didn't work, like in a level close to the beginning. I got pissed of a lot of times on that level, but on other parts it works well enough. The hardest trophy for me was Jack of All Trades, the grind to max out all abilities is brutal. #9. Heavy Rain [PS4] (February 2018) Since i missed on the PS3/Xbox 360 generation, didn't had a chance to play this game back in the day. But, since i read a lot of good stuff about it, i couldn't miss this since they made the remastered version for the PS4. I bought the game a couple of months before it was offered for free on PS Plus but i wasn't bothered a bit, i liked it so much that the game deserved the money i spent on it. The hardest trophy for me was All Endings, playing some chapters several times to see all the endings is boring and kinda ruin the experience. #10. Rime (February 2018) . #11. Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness (February 2018) . #12. Batman (February 2018) . #13. Knack (February 2018) . #14. The Last of Us Remastered (April 2018) - Left Behind DLC (April 2018) - Reclaimed Territories DLC (March 2018) - Abandoned Territories DLC (March 2018) - Grounded Mode DLC (March 2018) . #15. Grand Theft Auto V (May 2018) - Heists DLC (July 2018) - Rockstar Editor DLC (December 2016) - The Doomsday Heist DLC (October 2018) . #16. Homefront: The Revolution (June 2018) - The Voice of Freedom DLC (June 2019) - Aftermath DLC (June 2019) - Beyond the Walls DLC (June 2019) . #17. Resident Evil 6 (July 2018) - Onslaught DLC (June 2018) - Survivors DLC (June 2018) - Predator DLC (June 2018) - Siege DLC (July 2018) . #18. Call of Duty: Ghosts (July 2018) . #19. Thief (July 2018) . #20. Beyond: Two Souls (August 2018) . #21. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (September 2018) . #22. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Remastered (September 2018) - Extended Collection DLC (September 2018) . #23. Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 (October 2018) . #24. Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 (October 2018) . #25. Knowledge is Power (November 2018) . #26. Dead by Daylight (December 2018) - The Halloween DLC (November 2018) - The Lullaby for the Dark DLC (November 2018) - Leatherface DLC (November 2018) - A Nightmare on Elm Street DLC (November 2018) - Winter Solstice DLC (November 2018) - The SAW DLC (December 2018) - Curtain Call DLC (November 2018) - Shattered Bloodlines DLC (November 2018) - Darkness Among Us DLC (December 2018) - Demise of the Faithful DLC (April 2019) - Ash vs Evil Dead DLC (June 2019) - Ghost Face DLC (October 2019) . #27. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Remastered (December 2018) - Extended Collection DLC (December 2018) . 28-54 Spoiler #28. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Remastered (January 2019) - Extended Collection DLC (January 2019) . #29. inFamous Second Son (January 2019) . #30. inFamous First Light (January 2019) . #31. Lords of the Fallen (January 2019) - Ancient Labyrinth DLC (January 2019) . #32. Seasons After Fall (January 2019) . #33. Tom Clancy's The Division (January 2019) - Underground DLC (February 2019) - Survival DLC (February 2019) - Last Stand DLC (April 2019) . #34. Mad Max (February 2019) . #35. Until Dawn (March 2019) . #36. Resident Evil Revelations (March 2019) . #37. Mafia III (March 2019) - Faster, Baby! DLC (June 2020) - Stones Unturned DLC (June 2020) - Sign of the Times DLC (June 2020) Despite this game getting a lot of hate, i absolutely love it! The story was well written enough and the way it's told, with characters telling a story in some parts, give this game an extra point in storytelling. Even with some problems i had enough fun with the gameplay and the soundtrack is simply one of the best i've seen, the track selection is amazing. The DLCs are good enough, especially Faster, Baby with the 'growth operation' mechanic and Sign of the Times with the cult based story. The hardest trophy for me was Just You and Me. First, because it required an extra playthrough, and second because i liked all Underbosses, so choosing only one to give all districts made me feel bad. #38. Unravel (March 2019) . #39. Dying Light (April 2019) - Parkour Fever DLC (May 2019) - The Bozak Horde DLC (May 2019) - The Following DLC (May 2019) . #40. Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 (April 2019) . #41. Resident Evil 5 (April 2019) - Versus DLC (May 2019) - Lost in Nightmares DLC (May 2019) - Desperate Escape DLC (May 2019) . #42. Hitman GO: Definitive Edition (May 2019) . #43. South Park: The Stick of Truth (May 2019) . #44. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (May 2019) - Survival DLC (June 2019) . #45. The Evil Within [PS4] (May 2019) - The Assignment DLC (June 2019) - The Consequence DLC (June 2019) - The Executioner DLC (June 2019) The first time i played the game i didn't liked it. I wasn't understanding how most of the game mechanics worked, the story was very confusing and i had another minor problems, so i sold my copy. But after watching a few videos i decided to give this game a second chance and man, i'm so glad i did. After seeing videos about the story and speedruns i just started to love it. I desperately searched for a copy but couldn't find one with a realistic price, so i bought one for the Xbox 360 and got the 1000G on it. Later i found a copy for the PS4 with good price and the Season Pass went on sale, so i got the whole package and went for the 100%. The DLCs are decent and i had quite a lot of fun with the Executioner one, even being so different from the main game and the other DLCs. The hardest trophy was You Asked For It, for completing the game on AKUMU difficulty. Some parts of the game can be very unfair when you die in a single hit. #46. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered (June 2019) . #47. South Park: The Fractured But Whole (June 2019) . #48. Detroit: Become Human (July 2019) . #49. Fallout Shelter (July 2019) . #50. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (August 2019) . #51. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Trilogy Pack (August 2019) Very interesting style of game to use in the series, looks a lot like Mark of the Ninja. I enjoyed China and India a lot, Russia not so much, mostly because of the visuals since all three games doens't differ much from each other in other aspects. China and India have stunning colors and architectures, while Russia only uses red on a few specific objects ditching the colorful aspect to make the scenarios look oppressive and dangerous. I would recommend this more for the gameplay than for the story, since it doesn't add anything hugely important to the main arcs. The hardest trophy for me was the platinum, since it requires you to finish all three games on Hard Plus without being seen. The trophy is called Master Assassin. #52. Farm Together (November 2019) - Big Farms DLC (October 2019) . #53. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands (November 2019) - Narco Road DLC (January 2020) - Fallen Ghosts DLC (January 2020) . #54. Sniper Elite 4 (November 2019) - Authentic Plus DLC (November 2019) . 55-81 Spoiler #55. Watch Dogs 2 [PS4] (December 2019) - Human Conditions DLC (December 2019) - No Compromise DLC (December 2019) - Showd0wn DLC (December 2019) . #56. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [PS4] (January 2020) - Special Operations DLC (December 2019) . #57. God of War [PS3] (January 2020) . #58. Dead Space 3 [PS3] (February 2020) - Awakened DLC (February 2020) . #59. Oxenfree [PS4] (February 2020) . #60. Doom [PS4] (February 2020) - Expansion Pack 1 DLC (December 2019) - Expansion Pack 2 DLC (December 2019) - Arcade Mode DLC (February 2020) - Expansion Pack 3 DLC (November 2019) - Update 6.66 DLC (October 2019) . #61. Life is Strange [PS4] (February 2020) After hearing a lot of people talking good stuff about this game, especially my friends, i decided to give it a go. It has a really interesting plot and the time thing is really cool. Max is an awesome character, liked her so much. Chloe, on the other hand, was a pain in the ass. Really disliked her. Also, Arcadia Bay is a cool place with some interesting people that you find during your adventures. The game is short but if you interact with all items, diary, text messages and other stuff, will help by adding some nice details. Since the game doesnt feature any hard trophies, i'll list the platinum, called What If?, as the hardest one for me. #62. Resident Evil Revelations 2 [PS4] (February 2020) . #63. Adam's Venture: Origins [PS4] (February 2020) . #64. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 [PS3] (March 2020) . #65. God of War II [PS3] (March 2020) . #66. Saint Seiya: Sanctuary Battle [PS3] (March 2020) . #67. Titanfall 2 [PS4] (March 2020) . #68. Burly Men At Sea [PS4] (March 2020) . #69. Batman: Arkham Asylum [PS4] (March 2020) . #70. God of War: Chains of Olympus [PS3] (March 2020) . #71. God of War: Ghost of Sparta [PS3] (March 2020) . #72. Spec Ops: The Line [PS3] (April 2020) . #73. Ratchet & Clank [PS4] (April 2020) . #74. Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut [PS3] (April 2020) It's crazy to think that not a lot of people played this amazing game, i already consider it a hidden gem. The amount of details that the story have is fantastic and the liberty you have to complete the missions in the way you want is really cool. You can go in guns blazing until you reach your objective, do silent takedowns on every enemy to clear your way, or pass through the mission with even touching anyone. In terms of platinum, yeah, this one is very complicated. Nearly 90% of the trophies are missable! The hardest trophy for me was, of course, Foxiest of the Hounds. Finishing the game without setting off any alarms requires a huge knowledge of enemy behaviour and layouts of every map. #75. Life is Strange: Before the Storm [PS4] (April 2020) Since i really disliked Chloe, like mentioned in my description of the first game, this wasn't a very good experience. The game has some good side characters, like in the first game but i wasn't interested in Chloe and Rachel's story, and the plot isn't interesting aswell. Since there was no "going back in time" on this game, i thought my choices would made me regret a lot i chosen wrong, but i felt that they had VERY little effect on the consequences. Like in the first game, this one has no hard trophies, so i'm gonna list the platinum again as the hardest one or me. The trophy is called Bring on the Storm. #76. God of War III Remastered [PS4] (April 2020) I still don't know if words can describe this game, what an amazing experience... Everything is well done and the problems from the previous games aren't present here, the story has a good rhythm, the cinematic segments are epic and, with the uptaded graphics, the visuals are just stunning. This is the type of game that i'm happy i played in my life, no bullshit like unnecessary grind or huge open world filled with nothing interesting, only pure fun an joy! The hardest trophy for me was Up to the Challenge, the challenge with your bare hands is really tricky and required me a good amount of tries to pull it off. #77 Assassin's Creed II [PS4] (April 2020) Playing this game for the fourth time: two times on the PC, one on the Xbox 360 and another one now on the PS4. This is by far one of my favorites from the entire series and, even with some problems being much more evident for me now, i still love it. I still remember when this game came out and a friend of mine shared a pirated copy with me, really fond memories. The hardest trophy for me was In Memory of Petruccio, collecting all the 100 feathers for the fourth time was VERY boring! Haha #78 Umbrella Corps [PS4] (April 2020) This was by far THE WORST grind i ever did. I seriously couldn't have done it if it wasn't for the amazing boosting group i was. It's funny because i had some fun doing a few of the missions on the single player and the game has some really interesting ideas (the Brainer, for example), but a lot of things are just atrocious, mainy because of the Unity engine. The platinum, i don't even know what to say other than "awful". First of all, a few of the Single Player missions are straight up bullshit, especially the ones that have multiple rounds and one of them consists on capture zones, something pretty similar to the Domination mode that a lot of games have on it's multiplayer component. For the Multiplayer, doing all the U-Trials wouldn't be so bad if the numbers weren't so exaggerated. Play 500 matches? Kill 1000 players with weapons? Destroy 600 jammers? Please, give me a break. And you cannot even choose the mode you want to play, if you need an specific one for whatever reason you have to wait until the game decides that it's time for you to play it. This is such poor game design... Anyway, the hardest trophy for me was, without a doubt, U Can't Touch This, for completing all U-Trials. Took me 28 hours of pure boosting to achieve this. #79 Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom [PS3] (May 2020) I'm a huge fan of the series and decided to try all the games. I was curious about this one due to the gameplay being like the oldschool Zelda games, but it has some annoying problems that sort of ruined it for me. First, the saving system is weird: after the last boss fight, i tried reloading my save to get the other endings, only to discover that the game hadn't saved there and my only save was the manual one, 2 hours before. The sensibility is also messed up, i lost count of how many times i was trying to hit the enemies and Finn would attack on another direction because i moved the analog stick a millimiter. Still, even with the problems, the game was enjoyable. The hardest trophy for me was Ambitreacherous, for finishing the game without any upgrades. In this run you only have 3 hearts to battle the last boss and any hit in this fight will make you lose 2, so yeah, its a tough encounter. #80 The Evil Within 2 [PS4] (May 2020) This is, without a doubt, my favorite Survival Horror game. The first one was already well placed on my personal list of the genre but, due to some annoying things, it wasn't the best. This second game though is just fantastic, they got it right in every aspect of it: the story is very insteresting and well explained, the gameplay is fun with the small open world and has a simple crafting system (which i prefer). Also, i have to mention the art and sound design. The scenarios and the creatures are just fantastic, they easily gives you the feeling of a disturbed world, which is complemented by the music and sound effects. Last but not least, the feeling of entering those cozy safehouses and drinking a hot cup of coffee to replenish your health was so damn good. The hardest trophy for me was They Never Even Stood a Chance, i needed half of a playthrough after my Nightmare run just to collect weapon parts and finish upgrading all my weapons. #81 Horizon: Zero Dawn [PS4] (May 2020) - New Game+ DLC (May 2020) - The Frozen Wilds DLC (May 2020) At first i wasn't enjoying it, got a little bit scared by the difficulty and failed to understand some mechanics. But, after i started putting some effort into it, the game became VERY enjoyable. Not only did i had a lot of fun playing it, but the story was also super interesting and i can say that is one of the best i've saw in a video game. The Frozen Wilds also had an amazing story and it was very cool to play it during a cold season, it helped on the immersion. In addition to that, this DLC had some cool new enemies and, in my opinion, the most lethal in the entire game: the Fireclaw. The hardest trophy for me was Ultra Hard Completed, from the New Game+ DLC. Beating that Thunderjaw on this difficulty wasn't an easy task! 82-83 Spoiler #82 InFamous [PS3] (June 2020) This game is in a funny situation, it presents some very cool ideas but execute most of them very bad. I know this game is old now and i can't demand it to have the same quality as nowadays games with the same genre, but even back then other games made it right on stuff that InFamous failed. The most annoying problems for me was the clunky climbing, the very poor design of some missions like the baloons one, and the awful framerate in a few parts. The story was a bit boring and confusing but oh boy, i'm glad i made it until the end. That plot twist was mindblowing! The hardest trophy for me was Evil to the Core, for purchasing all upgrades for the Evil Karma powers. I took the Evil Karma path on my second playthrough where i just rushed to finish the game on Hard, so i had to farm the experience for quite some time after the last mission and it was very boring. #83 God o War: Ascension [PS3] (June 2020) The visuals this game are amazing, since it came out after God of War III those incredible cinematic fights are all there again. The problem is that it has some annoying concept changes, his blades being the main one. Why change something that always worked and make the combat complex when it doesn't need to be? Locking special moves of every element behind the last upgrade of it was also pretty dumb in my opinion, if the player don't search for chests to get enough orbs he won't get to use some of the new powers until the very end of the game or won't be able to use it at all. This really isn't a smart way of implementing things in a game. The hardest trophy for me was Legendary Warrior, for finishing the game on Hard difficulty. I actually didn't had any problems with the infamous Trials of Archimedes, made it through on my second attempt, but some other random encounters in the game made me sweat and rage a little bit. LIST OF 100% GAMES THAT DON'T HAVE A PLATINUM TROPHY 1-16 Spoiler #1. A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XV (April 2017) . #2. Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders (December 2017) . #3. Uncanny Valley (February 2018) . #4. Submerged (February 2018) . #5. Bombing Busters (June 2018) . #6. This Is the Police (December 2018) . #7. Overcooked (January 2019) . #8. SpacebarPlays
Nice list Seconding the comment above, how did you find SOMA? Im a bit of a wimp when it comes to scary games, still getting up the nerve to play Alien Isolation. I know theres a setting called 'Safe Mode' that you can use which means you cant be killed but is there a load of jump scares or is it more just a tense experience?

I've been thinking about playing those two. About Oxenfree: it's a very unique game where the focus is the conversation. The lines are very well written and the voice actors did an excelent job making it look really natural, like you're watching a movie. The plot is interesting aswell and very cool once you figure it out, also the game has a very good take on the New Game + thing that it's a part of the plot. I recommend it if you're looking for a chill game. I'll answer you and Spacebar below about SOMA. 8 hours ago, SpacebarPIays said: Nice list Seconding the comment above, how did you find SOMA? SOMA is a decent game with a cool story if you like Sci-Fi with a take of horror. Yeah, it has a few jumpscares but is something very rare, the horror comes from the atmosphere and the tension in a few segments. I played with Safe Mode cus i really didn't wanted to keep avoiding monsters, i just wanted to enjoy the story reading stuff and solving puzzles and i'm really glad the devs incuded this option in the game. Thank you both, you're more than welcome to just chill here whenever you want. Cheers!

I got it on a whim since it was described to me as a decent Zelda-clone. I started it on Vita but didn't have time to get much past the direct opening.

Like i mentioned on my description about it, there's some minor technical issues and the annoying problem with Finn not always looking at the direction you want. This makes the combat a bit frustrating, you feel that it's lacking precision. At first the map might seem confusing but after some exploriation it will become very familiar. Trophy wise, the only problem (if you can call that) that i had was on the "no upgrades" playthrough because of the last boss. It's tough but totally doable without too much trouble. Well, very easy platinum, i'm sure you won't have any issues with it. Give me a heads up if you make a checklist here or if you already have one. Cheers girl! Thank you for your thoughts, I've decided to reinstall it on the VIta. Gonna make it my before bed game for a while.
