Eurovision is kind of like the Olympics meets The X Factor, The Voice, American Idol, and any number of other singing contest shows. Each country, limited primarily to European countries with a few exceptions, chooses one song to send to the competition to compete. It has been around since 1956 and has seen winners such as ABBA and Celine Dion. Eurovision also tends to generate plenty of memes, like Epic Sax Guy: The Challenge: This year I will be giving away a $10 USD PSN card to one person; yes, I do understand the irony of it being a US PSN card. A second $10 US PSN card has also been donated anonymously, so your chances of winning are doubled! Originally this was going to be a full event with multiple game categories and badges, but since Eurovision 2020 was cancelled due to COVID-19, I'm saving this idea for next year. Instead, you will just need to do two things... First: Eurovision 2019 was won by The Netherlands' Duncan Laurence with his song Arcade. In hommage to his song where he sings about putting pennies into a slot, you must complete either a game with an arcade mini-game in it OR a true arcade game. Second: Tell us what your favorite would-be ESC 2020 entry is! Even though these artists will not be competing, we should still share in the love of music! View songs from 41 Countries that were set to compete this year at the official YouTube Channel. Game Suggestions There are literally hundreds of arcade-style games called Arcade Archives starting on This Page. Any of these will count. There may also be additional arcade-style games, like Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 which is being Given Away for Free Until May 10, which can also be used. Just make sure that whatever you choose is truly a legitimate arcade game, considering that almost any game can be put in an arcade game cabinet these days. Another good place to look is the Arcade Genre. Additionally, it is acceptable to play a game that has an arcade-style mini-game or an "arcade mode". There does not have to be a trophy associated with playing the mini-game / mode. Here is a list of some suggestions: Spoiler Battle Rockets Coffee Talk Granblue Fantasy : Versus Machinarium Persona 5 / Persona 5 Royal Reverie Rogue Galaxy Rush Rover Super Destronaut: Land Wars The Casebook of Arkady Smith Twin Breaker : A Sacred Symbols Adventure Additional Rules/Information: You must complete your game between 12:01 AM on April 26, 2020 and 11:59 PM on May 31, 2020. You can use a game that you start prior to this event so long as you finish it within this time frame. You must also list your favorite song during this time frame. You must post on this forum when you complete your game. If you do not explicitly state that you have completed your game, I can't guarantee it will be counted as I am not checking profiles for completion until you mention it here. Any game that you have yet to Platinum is eligible for entry. Games that lack a platinum are also eligible so long as you complete 100% of the base game. Games where you have already gotten the platinum or 100% of the base game but still have DLC left are not eligible. A winner will be chosen by a randomized drawing within a few days after the contest closes, with all those who completed both requirements being included in the drawing. Your PSNP account has to be older than this topic, meaning you joined on/before April 26, 2020. Participants Participants will be tracked in a Google Sheets document HERE. If you list your game on the forum, I will add it to the spreadsheet so that others can use it to possibly come up with game ideas; however, unless the cell is highlighted, it is not counted as being complete. I sadly don't have most of my collection with me (so, Shenmue 2 isn't here), and while I'm playing P5R, I will only plat it in a few months for a milestone.. Does Black Clover have an Arcade mode? It has a series of mini games called “vid comics” with corresponding trophies. These vid comics are like old school arcade games. Does this count? My selection for favorite song would be Iceland. mickTHC Posted May 7, 2020 Share Posted May 7, 2020 Is "A King's Tale: FInal Fantasy XV" considered an arcade game? it doesn't have the arcade tag on psnprofiles but it's like a classic beat 'em up (very reminiscent of final fight)... Let me know if its fine to enter the giveaway with this game. Well, if I was living in Asia I will be in for 5-6 hours, but I live in Spain and I've got the plat of Shenmue on 25th 6pm. I supose this is not allowed, isn't it? Anyway, I'm in the grindy process of finishing Fighting EX Layers (arcade mode was patched in a few years ago, no trophies related to it).
