Popular Post Static_Rook
Update 7 Snowrunner - 27% 32% Sakura Wars - 4% The Last of Us Part 2 Dreams Civilization VI - 34% I finally jumped off the Destiny 2 treadmill again and deleted it. So I'm back to making a little progress on my challenge games. But now Iceborne has its hooks in me again so I'm back on that grind. Focusing on Snowrunner now. The first part of the expansion came out but luckily no new trophies were added yet. But there's another map getting added to it at some point soon-ish. More trophies might get added then so I'm trying to get the platinum before that happens just to be safe. And nobody knows yet if the new area affects the base game trophies for doing all the tasks, etc. Guess I'll find out pretty soon! I've bounced off of Civ VI hard after making good early progress. Still not sure if 100% is obtainable either so I'm thinking of swapping it out. I'm gonna finish Snowrunner first and then decide. Happy hunting!

The clean up for the hall of famer trophy it's coming along ok but some of the mini games are not for me at all, I am at 77% completion and I want to get it done before proceeding with the finale of my normal playthrough and then just rush through the ex-hard playthrough, after that only ultimate battles left to do. Meanwhile I've made some invisible progress on idle Champions but I keep setting it and forgetting about it so often it might not be done by the deadline.

I don't really remember what happened in the first one so i can't compare these two. I can say that Enemy Within was kinda rushed towards the ending and i think it could've been a bit longer. It had some good LOL moments in scenes with Batman and Joker. Easy game, easy platinum and nothing else to add.

Popular Post AmarisSkye
Update #4: 1. Bendy and the Ink Machine - 24% Psychonauts - 1% 2. Murasaki Baby - 0%->100% ✅ [7.5.2020] 7. Erica - 0%->100% [7.17.2020] I've gotten Lego Marvel Super Heroes up to 90% but am really struggling with the flight races. I am not sure if its my own issues with flight sims or if its just that the controls are shit. I'm really hoping I can figure it out because it would suck to have that be what holds me back from completing this challenge. I haen't touched Q.U.B.E. Director's Cut since last time so it is also sitting at 90%. I put a little bit of work into The Bridge. Its pretty much acting as my palette cleanser between other games so I wouldn't be surprised if its one of the last ones that I finish this summer. I started and finished Erica (and also Hidden Agenda but I forgot to log in to add it to this challenge ::shrug::). The game was fairly solid in the two playthroughs but requiring about five different ones with very minor variations on the story (with the exception of the endings) was annoying. I was definitely bored and just going through the motions by the end of the third playthrough. I actually liked the live action more than I thought I would. The story was definitely compelling but they really needed some sort of chapter select or have the trophies pop at the end of the chapter. As far as immersion goes, I understand why the trophies would pop at the end of the game but perhaps they could have also coded it that if you quit to the main menu than any trophies you earned up to that point would pop. Finally, I am going to use my first swap to replace Bendy and the Ink Machine with Psychonauts. I just can't convince myself to play Bendy and I don't want that to cause me to fail the challenge.

Popular Post EPICRAGE
Update #3: (ie. the one AFTER The Last of Us Part 2.) So it took me over a week to finish The Last of Us Part 2 but damn what a game!! I absolutely loved it. I usually hate DLC trophies messing up my list but I hope they add some more trophies at some point because I'd love to have a reason to go back to that game. But back to the backlog! I played BDSM: Big Drunk Satanic Massacre. It was fun for a twin stick shooter but I'm glad it only took a day to platinum. Those Who Remain was your normal low budget horror game where maybe the developers made the game to help them deal with some tragedy in their lives or maybe I am reading too much into it. A lot of these low budget horror games end having the same thematic elements to them usually about a tragic accident killing family members or dealing with abusive parental relationships. They are kind of interesting but the games are so low budget that they are never really fun and end up being more like walking simulators. Maybe I'm just playing too many in a row and they are getting to me. Next up is Daymare 1998 which I am excited to play but I have been putting it off because I know I will need to follow a video guide for collectibles and that just takes the fun out of it sometimes. If I don't find the motivation this might be my only update in July and then I'll have to really marathon these games through August. Wish me luck! This week I platted the easier games such as God of War II, Tearaway and Metal Gear Solid 3 especially since I don't have as much training as I'm supposed to do due to unforeseen circumstances. I will also swap out another game since I gave Batman a try and it's not a genre I enjoyed (which is also the reason I swapped out AC: Chronicles) With that, let's get going into the games! Tearaway - O boi, It's one of the games I wished I started earlier. It's a beautiful, colourful and unique game where the world is basically made of paper and it does feel like you're in one, so immersion is one of the strong points of Tearaway. The way the game utilizes PS Vita's functions is created in such a way that it blends very well with the story and gameplay and I don't feel it broke the immersion at all, if not, it only made it better. Such as using the camera to apply textures on characters and using both touchscreen to allow interaction with the protagonist that are implemented smoothly. I had fun with it and only wished Tearaway: Unfolded was made for PS Vita. God of War II and Metal Gear Solid 3 are pretty solid ports for the Vita. Although the frame drop is terrible at times for GoW II, it felt playable and still fed my GoW craving that I have. Anyone that's looking for an action game for the vita should get the GoW collection. Metal Gear Solid 3 on the other hand is an enjoyable stealth game but I used a platinum trophy video walkthrough that assisted my trophy hunting. Some of the parts was not as simple as in the video and took some tries due to the controls which I found odd. Definitely doable though! This week I'm aiming to complete Seran Kagura, Sly Cooper, Shinobido and lastly Titan Souls! I'm left with 5 games where I'll reach my limit and be able to add more games towards the list. Hopefully I'm able to complete soon as I'm in Trophy Hunters League and I need to start playing some easy games to obtain as many points as possible As always, Happy Trophy Hunting everyone and stay safe! Popular Post AuroraHistoire
I Finally Noticed How Short Fuuka Is I finished Persona 3: Dancing In Moonlight before I finished Persona 3. I liked Persona 3: Dancing In Moonlight. It's a fun little rhythm game with zero flaws. I guess the song selection is a bit light with a little over 20 (without DLC), I think. Also, a few of the songs are just remixes of other songs. When you're not playing the rhythm portion, you have the option to walk around everyone's room in 1st person. The goal of it to find a hidden blue card. It usually takes 2-20 minutes to find the card. The only problem was that there was no option to invert the camera, so I had a bit of trouble looking around. This is probably the only game where characters had different radically heights and I noticed. During the cutscenes I was comparing everyones height I found Junpie to be the tallest while Ken is the shortest. I was most surprised by how short Fuuka is since she is only a few centimeters taller than Ken (Ken's a few years younger than everyone else). L.A. Popular Post DizzyDavidson
Update: Tales of Xillia 2 (PS3) - 71% => 87% God of War 3 (PS3) - 0% Bioshock Infinite (PS3) - 0% Zone of the Enders HD Edition (PS3) - 0%: Cat Quest (PS4) - 0% Rise of the Tomb Raider (PS4) - 0% => 23% F1 2020 (PS4) - 0% => 38% Tales of Xillia 2: I can finally call my first playthrough done, 113 hrs so far. Even managed to kill the Elite Monsters which I thought I would have to be higher level for. Now I'm ready for NG+, a quick run through the story then 3 more trophies to go post-game (I need the modifiers I activate in NG+ for that). Rise of the Tomb Raider: Wow, this is a great game. Even better than the first Tomb Raider (reboot). I really like to just take my time and explore stuff, it's too bad I can't do everything right away as I need some gear unlocked then return to a couple of spots (hurray for fast travel) which makes it a bit metroidvania-like but that's alright. F1 2020: Besides a couple of minor bugs here and there and getting stuck at a loading screen twice (had to close app), everything seems to be working. I haven't tried the new game mode My Team yet, but I got the online part done (I think) and I ran a few single races. The two "new" tracks at Vietnam and Netherlands are pretty cool, it's a shame real F1 won't hold races there this year from the looks of it, but that's understandable given the situation. They barely just started up the season but everything seems to be going alright for now. Well this felt like more of a sizeable update. Next week there's no real F1 so I will have a bit more time on the weekend. My plan for next week is to run through the story a second time in Xillia 2, finish the campaign and be ready for cleanup in Rise and start on My Team in F1. That's quite a lot, but we'll see how far I get. 'Til next time!
Popular Post Sword
Update #3: Completed Disgaea 5. Absolutely amazing game that I've talked about in previous updates, so I won't re-hash my feelings towards it completely. Needless to say it's one of the most fun, entertaining, adorable and absolutely rewarding games (of the grinding type) I've ever played in my life. 10/10 easily. I took the game super slow because I was just enjoying it so much and now the journey is over. However I'm glad that it is actually over. The "headache" of the grind was getting to me. I could have probably lasted maybe another 10 hours before I'd have swapped to something else. Playing a game straight for 1 month can get rather old after awhile, even if it's something you've enjoyed so much. I've had to do it with Star Ocean 5 and Skyrim. Still in my complete list for this year. Anyways... Now I can move onto the less grindy games, strategically placed for maximum fun levels. After a grind, you ALWAYS need something short, relaxing and mindless to play. Lego Harry Potter, here I come for your plats! Color Code: Red = Game not started. Green = Game is in progress. Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
Time for a long-long overdue update! Sorry that i've been gone so long, i've been caught up with a mix of streaming and general life stuff. I'm pretty much back and firing on all cylinders now so i can resume my usual regular updates Hope everyone has been keeping safe and well and that you are looking after yourselves as best as you can. I really missed these challenges and reading folks updates. Before work kicked me out, you were all with me for my morning coffee in your progress posts. I finally put Death Mark into completion with Platinum 148. This was a genuinely good horror visual novel with investigative and what felt like point n' click game items and inventory use. If you like horror and either like visual novels or want to get into them, you could do far worse than Death Mark. I also made a bit more of a dent in Lost Sphear and I think i'm at a point now where most of the main story is complete and i can start getting the side content out of the way. This has consistently been a lovely JRPG experience from the beginning. Next up is Ghost of Tsushima, which I'll likely go for the platinum in above all else. Then my aim is to switch over to the RE3 remake and crown it with my 150th Platinum milestone. Popular Post HaserPL
Finally, another update lol. #163 - Brink Do you know what's worse than a shitty game with fun mechanics, or an interesting story? A mediocre game with boring gameplay and story that's pretty much non-existent and that's what BRINK is. Which is sad because I remember when the game got announced and the trailer looked dope AF, I really wanted to play it, imagine that, Call of Duty online multiplayer combined with Battlefield classes and Mirror's Edge parkour? What could have possibly gone wrong? But something went terribly wrong and it's sad, parkour is very simplistic and pretty much obsolete, I played the class that's too heavy for parkour anyways and it was fine by me, the classes are also unbalanced, you only play with just one until you need to change it to complete an objective, and the game itself is so dull, and boring, maybe if I played it somewhere along with the release, but now it was around 20 hours of killing terrible AI bots, with terrible guns and on poorly designed maps. I hated every mission I had to finish, and I had to finish the entire campaign at least 3 times, + around 3/4 hours of grinding for the max rank trophy. I don't recommend it, like at all. Unless you hate your spare time and want to get some easy platinum trophy.

Unlike Origins where I dreaded those stupid question marks, I aim to get every single one of them in Odyssey (and they aren't even required for the platinum, but who cares about the platinum at this point?) So yeah....halfway there completion wise. No way am I having time for another game in that list. Perhaps Trine, if I have some spare time in August. Stalled for a bit trying and failing to get the shorter pair going, but it should pick up afterwards. First of all, Monster Energy Supercross. This game had a much lower average completion percentage compared to the other two games (24% to 40-ish%), and the forum posts were stockpiled with "This game is broken" in good ol' Milestone fashion. It was surprisingly fun though. A shame I had to stop with it that early, but I've made amends for the MUD fiasco. Also completed Erica. While the lack of a real save feature was disheartening, the game went by so quickly that I didn't really mind. Especially since the other two playthroughs had me do whatever I wanted for a large part of the game, which meant I could be much nicer to everyone, as the guide I was using had me be a dick quite a lot for the lulz. Bit of a problem though. While it has been a while since I played 2064, and I will complete it, and Beyond may be really good, I'm still stuck with the two trash-heaps that are Lego Ninjago and the Crew 2. By god, they're absolutely terrible. I'll start with the other two games, chip away at the other two, and finally use my last swap on one of them, most likely. I have added the Sly games on the PS3 to the list, as I'm going to do them for the Gaming by Numbers event. Finally gives me the chance to have some games on the PS3. Happy Hunting Everyone! You have some really nice games on that list - props to you for having Enslaved:Odyssey to the West on there. I really really love that game. I've made a bit of a start on Ghost of Tsushima and I can say i'll be surprised if it doesn't win some awards somewhere for it's visuals, it's gorgeous.

Thank you, Enslaved does have its merits it’s unique and I love the background for the story’s inspiration, I was a huge fan of Heavenly Sword and never heard of Enslaved till I looked around. think I would have just preferred more variety when it came to bosses ones with more character possibly even humanoid ones. And I think so too no question about it the trailers can’t sustain me anymore I’m even more excited to get to it!
MidnightDragon
Been having a rough week (don't wish to elaborate), so haven't actually started Ghost of Tsushima yet. I plan to Saturday evening since I have a lot going on tomorrow and during the day Saturday. At least it's good things. Anyway, I'm planning on opening the signups for the next challenge August 1. However, undecided if I will split the fall and winter challenge into separate things or combine them like I did last year.
