Happy Hunting everybody. I'll be starting with Lego Harry Potter because... well, it's Lego... it's got wizards... and it's relaxing!

Ok did my last edit to my list, changed Tom Clancy division 2 for Lego harry potter as I am unsure if I can complete all the multi player stuff in time. Added a few easier games that I really should just get out the way, or will be useful when I am swearing at one of my more difficult entries. I also added a game I got on sale the other week, Gravity rush remastered, not heard of it but it looked like something I would enjoy and the completion percent is doable for me, though it looks quite big so I may live to regret that decision.

Also as this is my first time I stupidly have put in the maximum number of games, I'm sure this will come back to bite me on the backside but I am nothing if not optimistic (stupid), and if nothing else it will serve as a reality check for next time, though I will try my absolute best to complete everything.

The more the merrier! Apparently it can go pretty fast if we manage to get a team of four together at the same time. I haven't looked in to it that much yet though because I was planning on doing it later in the summer. Haha. I'm down for playing a match here and there too. Whatever works best for everyone!

I don’t think we do. I personally haven’t started the game yet but I think you can select multiplayer anytime, or shortly after the intro at the latest IIRC

First game to be played (and completed), Island Saver is a game made by a bank to educate children on economy and pollution. After spending the entire game picking up trash and spraying dirty stuff, You eventually have to go around the last island to charge 10 batteries. At this point I was so done with the game that I had to force myself not to look up a guide. To be fair, finding the charging spots took 3 minutes, so it wasn't that bad. With slippery jumping physics, annoying video game helper and hilarious portrayals of animals, it wasn't that bad. Especially not considering this was a freebie a few weeks ago. For those who didn't get it then, too bad. That's a whopping 315 points! Yeah, no platinum, but it is the shortest on the list!

 

I hope the others are this easy, but that's asking too much, is it?

I finished Fractured Minds. Overall, the game was only about ~25 minutes long for me. I kinda wish it had been longer, but I liked it for what it was. I read that the game was a portrayal of anxiety, and I can see what people meant by that, but it also definitely had some chapters that were centered on depression. I especially liked Chapter 3: Comfort Zone. I'll talk about why in a spoiler tag just in case somebody feels spoiled by it

The atmosphere of the cabin in the woods with a fire crackling in the fireplace was nice and calm compared to the dismal, rainy scene prior to it. To me, it represented our comfort zone in our mind (which is probably why the chapter was called that lmao) and in the chapter you just travel deeper and deeper into your comfort zone by entering the snowglobe in the room. Inside the snowglobe was a house that had one room; the exact same room you had been in. I like how at the end of the chapter you "escaped" your comfort zone, despite the warnings that you shouldn't leave and that "you won't like it out there". I've had experience escaping my comfort zone over the past year and I agree, it's scary as hell going out and doing something other than wasting your life away laying in bed. Sure, it's scary stuff, but there's also some pretty cool stuff out there that's worth getting a little scared for.

Pros:

+ Good music

+ A simple, easy, worry-free game

+ Had some relatable themes

Cons:

- Too short

- A little too simple

- Puzzles felt forced into the game to provide some obstacle/challenge

 

Also, I continued The Division 2. I'm almost done with the main story, and then I'll try and tackle the PVP trophies next week. I'm a bit worried about completing the Raid because I ran into tons of disconnection errors the second I entered a raiding session. Apparently, it's a known problem that has nothing to do with my internet, but instead with how broken The Division 2 is. I might not be able to 100% this game by the end of the challenge because of this buggy mode but I'll keep trying and maybe I'll eventually get into a raid.

Not the strongest start, i slept a lot more than i expected yesterday but got 1 game down so far.

Started off by giving Enemy Within a shot and im just. God, The Walking Dead season1 came out almost a decade ago and its far far far better than any other Tell Tale game ive played as of yet. I love Batman so im really trying to give it a shot but why is it SO SLOW. The story moves at a snails pace.

So, ive decided im going to try to get through 1 Episode of the game and then play a different game to mix it up.

To that extent, loaded up some Spyro. Honestly, ive never played the games before, i was always a Crash guy when the PS1 was around and i never really played anything else other than RPGs on the PS1.

Spyro was brilliant fun. Cant wait to play the other 2.

Anyways, onto the next episode of Enemy Within i guess...

OK first summer update :

Crash Bandicoot: This looks like my worst nightmare in game form. I cannot explain how much I hate this goddamn game  I got some...easy....trophies...just to rank up this game for abit then completely abandoned it. Thank god this challenge lasts for 3 months else I would have dropped immediately. I need alcohol with this game else I will lose my mind. Anyway, postponing this for maybe July or something. I don't want to see this accursed weasel any time soon.

Berserk Band of the Hawk : Since Crash ain't going well, I restarted this game and played 5-6 levels. Didn't earn any trophy yet but it's a far more enjoyable experience. It's actually a pretty decent Musou game (compared to One Piece Pirate Warriors atrocity from Spring Backlog Challenge), I missed Guts and the gang. Of course, playing the game with Berserk Millenium Falcon OST in the background for maximum epicness.

 

Yeah it's abit of a lame update. I really picked the most boring games from my backlog list. Should start SotC in weekend and hope to figure out those controls.

I meant to get more done today considering it was the first day of the challenge, but it took me a little longer to finish Danganronpa 2 than I expected. I had wanted to finish that before starting on the challenge so that I could restart Ultra Despair Girls without any issues cropping up in my mind about 2 being unfinished. Starting tomorrow the goal is to do one chapter of Life is Strange per day, plus progress into one of the other games. I'll probably hop around a lot between a couple of these games at a time.

First update from me, hope everyone is staying safe and well . I didn't make a huge amount of progress with anything list related as a start - I basically wanted to get the Mafia 2 remaster out of the way which I started between challenges. I'm two trophies off the platinum for that game, but there is a single completely broken trophy which is preventing everyone from getting the plat. So once i've taken care of the last 40 collectibles, i'll be putting Mafia 2 on the shelf till that's sorted.

 

Lost Sphear is an absolutely lovely little JRPG title from Tokyo RPG Factory. I gave it a shot on my stream yesterday just to try it out and ended up loving it, can't wait to see this through to the end. The mechanics are simple enough to pick up and the story progression has a nice chilled flow to it. After all the gangsters and killing in Mafia 2, it was a really nice relaxing gear change.

 

I'm getting close to my 150th Platinum milestone and i'm planning for it be the RE3 Remake (considering my 50th was RE7 and my 100th was the RE2 Remake). So I'm strategising a bit about the next games I want to get through to get there. This is what i'm looking at prioritizing in the coming month

 

- Mafia II DLC [Not part of the list but I want to 100% the entire trilogy]

- Lost Sphear [Platinum]

- Mafia III [+ all DLC]

- Resident Evil 3 Remake [Platinum]

- Last of Us Part 2

You don't need to play any story at all for the mp.

I'll add you all on psn and set up a group, if that's fine with everyone.

 

I think the stunning and reviving boost is way quicker than playing wolfpack, so that would be awesome if we can do that

I went in on Muramasa Rebirth and boy I’m impressed with it! It’s visually impressing and the gameplay is fun as well. I got hooked and completed the story mode for both characters, as well as doing side quests and other stuff that’s part of the trophy roadmap. I’m left with chaos difficulty (I tried and kept getting my ass whooped) which then unlocks fury mode (1 HP only!) I’ll continue the game on another day when I’m ready to tackle it again

 

Moving on, I started on Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified

 

It does feel like a Call of Duty game and the control is decent enough that you won’t get annoyed by it. What will annoy you is that in campaign mode, whenever you die, you’ll have to restart the entire level, again. It’s challenging yet rewarding because enemies are predictable in terms of spawn areas so once you get the hang of it, you’ll be able complete the level (on veteran)

 

So far, I’m done with campaign and missing one chapter related trophy that is LUCK based and it’s tilting me. I put that trophy aside instead and focused on hostile mode instead. It’s basically a survival mode where you get waves of enemies and you have to survive till you kill the amount of enemies needed. 
 

Apart from that, once I’m done with Call of Duty I’ll be focusing on this game (this week)

2. God of War 

3. Guacamelee + DLC

4. The Walking Dead

 

Trying to play as many games as I can before my schedule starts to get busy and tiring to play

Mostly getting some of the quick and easy trophies out of the way while learning Dreams and Civ 6. Put a few more hours into Snowrunner but I've already got most of the easy trophies for that. It's the kind of game where a bunch are going to pop near the end.

 

And now it seems that the "Repo Man" trophy in base Civ 6 is bugged so the platinum is unobtainable for now. I'll get the rest done and hope the issue gets fixed eventually.
