tw34kfr34ky
Just wondering how it works right now,and if it may change in the future. I guess right now if you buy the game you dont need to pay any extra? Woudnt mind buying it if i can keep playing it forever but if i have to pay every month idk if its worth it to me. chanchibar
About $10/month for Legacy players (people who played back in patch 1.22 or earlier) or around $13/month for new players.
Sir_Bee
$10 a month for a new player will get you one character, and since you can play as any class with the same character, many players would be good with just one. Also, buying the game gives you one free month. So you can get the game, and 2 extra months for the same price of a regular game, and not many other games last me more than 3 months. I am seriously considering getting this.
sonic4555
Id say this is worth it regardless of a monthly fee. The fee is just there to keep the servers up and the updates flowing in.
Guest
I myself got the 180days 12.99$ though really there really isnt a huge reason to have 8 characters per server because 1 character could play every job and class and do all crafting. The only reason why I got the 180days in advance is because for each month you subscribe you get in-game items. 3months get you the Eye mount. Which is pretty cool. SE havent release info on 4th month ingame items yet. To me 12.99/mo isnt much besides, You get 1 month free play for just buying the game. And he game is pretty cheap new retail value. forgot if it was 29.99 for PC and 39.99 PS3. So if its PC, your kinda sorta paying 17$ for the game. And since this is a mmorpg that many will probably be playing for years to come, youll probably be playing a game or two less because you are busy playing FFXIVARR. So my math is kinda bad but with 1month free and subbing say 6months, thats 12.99x6=77.94 for 7months, thats like less than 0.40 a day. The fees for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn at time of official launch are as follows:◆Entry Subscription Period: 30 days Fee: $12.99 Number of playable characters: 1 per World and up to 8 per service account◆Standard Subscription Period: 30 days Fee: $14.99 Number of playable characters: 8 per World and up to 40 per service accountFees for subscription cycles longer than 30 days require a payment when the subscription option is chosen.◆Standard Subscription Period: 90 days Fee: $41.97 (13.99/Month) Number of playable characters: 8 per World and up to 40 per service account◆Standard Subscription Period: 180 days Fee: $77.94 (12.99/Month) Number of playable characters: 8 per World and up to 40 per service accountThe payment methods available for subscription are listed below:- Credit Card/Debit Card- Square Enix CrystaPlease visit the following URL for more information about Square Enix Crysta.http://www.square-enix.com/na/account/crysta/ Edited August 30, 2013 by Br3akingDawn
kitkatkita
If anyone is putting it off due to the subscription, you could always pay for the month y ou want to play, not play for a while and then pay for another 30 days (which I plan on doing due to lack of funding )

I will just return to it whenever i feel like playing it
