Hey Everyone,

 

This is a Backlog Event/Contest/Forum for people who don't mind not platinuming (is that even a word) / 100%ing  games just want to try and get through  the single player mode be it a story mode or other single player modes for example from campaign in a call of duty to a play through of skyrim. This may help people start games that they do eventually want to platinum but just need to take it in small steps as normally starting games can be the hardest thing and once you've done a play through you may want to start another playthrough ot clear up the trophies hopefully. Yes you might be thinking whats the point if your not going to platinum the game this is for more casual players and there is not another backlog event to cater towards them as most if not all on here are aimed at going for 100%/platinum.

 

so what do we do?

In this event you will be doing a pyramid/tree see how far down you can go. The amount of levels but must be  5 levels see my example below. There is no need to platinum games just play through once so for example a play through of uncharted 4 on explorer mode will do and you can then check that of the list 

 

How do I sign up?

No need to "sign up" just post saying your list and away you go. THE ONE THING YOU HAVE TO DO IS> you must keep the updates when completing a playthrough. also follow the page would be great aswell

 

Rules 

1.You start from the top and work you way down the pyramid meaning you have to complete a level one game first before moving on the level 2.  For example being game  if your level  1 game was red dead 2  you must play through red dead 2 before choosing a game in level 2.

2. Each level the choice gets greater so level 1 will have one game 2nd level will have to etc. so in the first level make sure its a game you really want to playthrough to start of with. For example im starting with Spiderman on Ps4 as thats my most anticipated game to start for example.

3. You can move on to the next level if you like once you have completed one game on the level above. so once you have done a level 2 game you can move on to level 3 or you can complete both level 2 games then move on to level 3.

4, You may only play two games at once in some circumstances such as a really long 60 hour plus game like red dead 2 as level one or  if you are completing say a level 5 game you can go back and start a level 2 game to help you complete the pyramid

5. You may only start a new pyramid once you have completed the one you are on meaning all games must have a playthrough.

6. I will be checking your trophies to see if you are telling the truth. i expect to see a trophy for completing the game even if its only on easy or the equivalent mode.

7. Suggested format below but if you can make a cooler looking pyramid please do.

As of the 15TH November 2020 I will Doing a New Leaderboard Running through to 31st December 2021 The winner wins a PSN Voucher worth £/$10.

The Leaderboard scoring system will be like this

1 point per ticked/crossed off game (complete one playthrough of the game For example playing through Miles Morales once)

2 points per platinum (optional to platinum the games (I know some people go beyond just a playthrough so you can now gain two extra points on top of the 1 point)

3 points per completed pyramid (Only for Pyramids that have been started in between 15th November 2020 (today) and 31st December 2021 However you can earn points for completed/platinumed games on already started pyramids for example pyramids started in 2020)

10 Points per Completed Pyramid with all games Platinumed (non-Platinum games don't count but you must say if you PLatinum no need to get 100 %of the trophies and I will be checking lol) (same as above Only for Pyramids that have been started in between 15th november 2020 (today) and 31st December 2021 However you can earn points for completed/platinumed games on already started pyramids for example pyramids started in before 15th Novmeber 2020

 

NO 30min PLatinums allowed!!

NOTE: if you have HD trilogys/collection or or bundles they count as seperate games for example the Spyro Reignited trilogy on PS4 would count as 3 games not one. so you can either put the 3 on different levels or just put one game in i.e Spypo Riptos rage on one level Spyro 1 on another etc. or just have one game and save the others for another pyramid.
 

NOTE: Dlc can count as a game but must be story based or the equivalent. and example of this would be freedom cry dlc for assassins creed black flag

I’m interested! I have a pretty short attention span so a lot of times going for the plat in one go isn’t really attainable for me as I game jump quite a bit 😂 

 

I have a question though: for this would games in the pyramid need to start at 0% trophies wise? For example I have the crafting trophy on The Last Of Us but I’ve never finished the game before, so would I be able to add that if I was starting a new playthrough? 🤔

you dont have to start from 0% trophies or even start a brand new playthrough. so for example you say i had done half of a call of duty campaign once and never finished it and now i wanted  to add that to the list  you dont have to start a new playthrough carry on the old save like normal it doesnt matter. so in short yes you can carry on where you left of in last of us whether 0% or 20 % it dont matter

I think it sounds really fun 😊 it’s a good excuse to start working through my backlog. I’m working on the Fallout 76 plat at the moment (I just have the level 100 trophy left) but after that I can get started on this. Also, quite a few of the games in my pyramid I’ve previously started at some point but most of them were years ago so I’ll be starting fresh playthroughs.

I’ve not played past the opening chapter but I absolutely loved it. The soundtrack is amazing. I haven’t looked into the trophy guides or anything for my picks because I didn’t want them to influence my choices. Mad Max is a game that I’ve put off for ages because I’ve heard that it’s buggy so that one I definitely wanted to include in this otherwise I’d never get around to it 😂 

 

Also I forgot to specify on my pyramid but all those games are on PS4

i was the same with mafia 3 started it then played other games but went back and it was worth it. This event is perfect for games like mad max the games you dont want to start because it maybe buggy but if you can do a playthrough you may then push on to the platinum another time.

Yeah I’m really looking forward to getting around to these games. They’ve been sitting in my library for far too long. Most of them are already downloaded too which is a bonus 😂

Hi its my weekly update to see who everyone is getting on and to tell you my progress. For me i am working through Spider-man about half way through and enjoying the heck out of it. i got the game of the year version so have the dlc as well thank goodness for that lol. Im hoping to be on to level 2 by the end of next week at the latest. look forward to seeing how everyone is getting on and looking forward to any newcomers

Ooh well done! What did you think of it? I enjoyed the game, but towards the end I kind of felt it was a bit of a grind.

 

I haven’t started on my list yet. I just got the plat for Fallout 76 last night so I’m ready to make a start on The Outer Worlds. I did start a playthrough on hard back around it’s release when I was off work sick, but I never got far. I think this time I’ll probably do a normal run for my first play and then I’ll head back in at some point to get the supernova difficulty.

I thought it was a great game right up my alley. i feel it was fantastic and perfect length and the platinum wasnt to difficult either. i got the game of the year addition so im glad i got the dlc as well but havent started that yet. i dont feel it was a grind as i enjoyed doing the leveling up and do most of the side mission etcs before completing the game so it felt just right.

on to the next level i go

Some of the DLC looks really good. One of my friends has a couple of them and he loved them. I haven’t grabbed any and tbh I probably won’t. I enjoyed my time with the game but the plat is plenty for me 😂

 

Thank you! I had the game since about a month after launch when it went down to £20 ridiculously fast and it was rough at the beginning. From December ‘18 until this April I only managed to level my character to 23 😂 I went back to it after Wastelanders released and I had so much fun with it, even the base game features felt more exciting since there were random NPCs dotted about and gave the game more life. If you played it before and haven’t gone back to it I’d definitely recommend checking it out again 😊

not really a fallout fan tried to get into 4 but just wasnt for me and all the stuff around 76 turned me off for good.

Aw I love the fallout games. I was a bit disappointed with 4 though. Fallout 76 was a train wreck at the beginning not going to lie 😂 it is getting better now. That being said I don’t know how some people can get to level 400+ 🤔  like I did the last main quest around level 70 and most of the side quests, so the last grind to level 100 felt a bit repetitive. There’s not really enough content to keep me playing past earning the plat
