At the current (launch) patch you cannot platinum the game. Even if everything else goes smoothly and you manage to finish everything without game-breaking glitches and crashes you will still not be able to start a task in Alaska - Pedro Bay. In the All Task list it will appear as a piece of code and otherwise it will not spawn, launch or turn discoverable anywhere on the map. This effectively locks you out of the "No rest for the trucker" trophy for completing all contests and tasks. Additionally, while waiting for the patch I'd urge you to use the money exploit while it is still available. For the Model collector trophy you need to own all vehicles - not just unlock them - own/buy all of them. Even when you clear all the contracts, tasks, and contests (once) at the current state you will, very optimistically be around 40% of the money you need. You cannot replay anything but contests and those pay out maybe 5k for gold. You will be missing upwards of 2 million. (All vehicles will set you back around 3-3,5 million) The patch might fix the payouts for missions to earn enough during the game, it is possible it will make contracts replayable but if you already went a decent chunk through the game you will still find yourself in front of a 20-30-40 hour grind of replaying missions to earn higher income again. At the current state it would take you more than two 100% playthroughs to earn enough. EDIT: the latest patch makes the task available for pick up, small trailer area "South-East" edge of the map if you consider north the part where the tunnel is. Where you have to bring the Scout 800 for the contest. One there you need to bring the designated trailer to the area. Fairly simple and straightforward. Additionally keep an eye out on the "Trophy guide" thread - could be that the vehicle related trophies require you to own them at one point what this means is since you basically recycle your money you could Buy truck A, sell truck A, Buy truck B, sell truck B, Buy truck C etc.... until you go through all of them. Money Exploit is still very much worth it as it is less of a hassle and gives you more freedom to try out multiple trucks simultaneously and have some cash to mess around with visual stuff. For me, the Watchtowers and Upgrades trophies are bugged. I found them all, but still no trophies. So right now I don't know if I should start a new game or wait and pray they will fix it somehow. The fact this mission in Pedro bay is a joke, its clearly not been checked before release. They posted on reddit we was going to get a patch last week and nothing. Ps thanks for all the work on this. I've been checking it, from what I saw the first patch to come out hopefully next week will "prioritize and address the PS4 crashes" I don't even know if fixing that mission will be included... Otherwise we might have to wait, as they said "in a couple of weeks", for a big patch with the 4th Taymyr map, working mirrors etc. I hope not... They had the option to release the game as is (with the Taymyr map missing, no wheel support, some graphical problems like mirrors and lights on PS4) or postpone it for an unknown time (in such a short timeframe before the release they had to reschedule everything). While I would have preferred a more polished game, I'm happy to be able to play the game at all. Those crashes and save game related bugs have to fixed asap, but I don't care if I get the platinum this month or next month. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ac3dUd3- Posted May 11, 2020 Share Posted May 11, 2020 The bugs are annoying, I would have prefered they wait and release a finished game but I am guessing the publisher was pushing them and gave them no choice. So does that piece of code not show up for everyone? So, when you check the stats (down d-pad) go to ALL / TASKS and scroll down - it will be 6th from the bottom. Location pin says Pedro Bay. It will tell you the name of the task? The text description is something about moving furniture to fathers farm but roads being too treacherous for other drivers. For everyone so far the task is listed as "02_04_USA_spawn...." or similar. And cannot be located or started in Pedro Bay. I think I'll just have to accept that it's broken and corrupted permanently for me and delete the game and try to forget about wasting 100 hours on it.
