Question about Hard Core trophy

Do you have to survive 30 days without dying, or does it just mean that if you play until day 30 before beating the game, you'll get the trophy?

 

If its the first one, doesnt that just mean as long as you load a save when you die, it won't affect the trophy? Cuz I died once, got attacked on my way to get my pack, and just paused and loaded to when I first got off the skiff. Would that void the trophy?

Just reach day 30, doesn't specify you can't die.

Yes you can die, even finish the game, you just have to finish 30 full days. Nothing hard.
