Game you evere raged quit or just raged over ?

There are so many games in my long story of playing video games at which I raged. You know, I get an uneasy attitude extremely fast while playing games. Especially if I play games on the hardest difficulty when I die and die and die.

But I don't really rage. I am just frustrated.

Games I was extremely frustrated in were Final Fantasy XII (I know weird but if you die 30 times at the same boss you know what I mean) and another great choice was in Skyrim after I died (I fell of a cliff) and I didn't save the game for 4 hours.

Also recently Metal Gear Solid 4 on The Boss Extreme. I was raging so bad that I bit my left analog stick. And because of that I thought my controller was broken because the stick wouldn't get into its normal position. But it would just stuck and I had to scratch a bit of the stick. :D

i rage quitted once on zen pinball 1, i just had to damage "genshin" boss once for a very hard silver trophy (harder than it sounds) then my ball goes to the left outline and i had no kickback activated lol and of course that was my last ball. i took a long break and got it on 5th attempt. on zen pinball 2 it took me 5 hours to get it (ps3 & vita)

Top 5 Rages :D

1. Dash Circuit in 3D Dot Game Heroes

I only had to do the NA version of this game, I can't even imagine having to do the Europe or Japanese version. I was literally not blinking while maneuvering those corners and when I finally did it I actually collapsed on the ground laughing :)

2. Barcelona Challenge in Tony Hawk: RIDE

You have to do this run perfectly and this isn't a game known for its control. I nearly broke my neck trying to do the moves required to get this trophy /(>0<)/

3. Dying at the Black Queen in Battletoads

Getting to the end and dying meaning I had to beat that game again is an anger that can only be matched by the next entry. This was my first rage moment though so I am ranking it higher.

4. Getting to Carnage in Maximum Carnage and dying

This game is tough as nails but then to get to the boss fight (after during a marathon of all the other bosses) and dying is enough to put your foot through a TV

5. Figuring out how to beat X-men for the NES

Not actually a rage moment but one that still pisses me off to the day. When I was a kid I used to play this game all the time (I only got 1 or 2 games a year so I had to play crappy ones). Me and my brother could never figure out how to beat the game though. Finally when we were older and Gamefaqs came about we actually looked up the game to discover that the password was on the cartridge the whole time, instead of somewhere more common like in game or simply just starting the final level  ...then we discovered that the password was actually wrong. it said +b and start when it should have said Select+B and Start

Yeah I thought that this was pretty weird immediately afterwards. But the material between the little ball and the stick itself (however that thing is called) is actually really soft. It was a rather "normal" bite. If you can say that like that.

But this passage in the end of Act 3 (don't want to spoil anyone who hasn't played it yet) on the hardest difficulty is so frustrating.

Metal Gear Solid 3, I couldn't beat the Boss, ever, thats what you get for going through the entire game without care on learning about cqc. Also, I had just a few rations and animals left, wich I had to spent on Eva for the previous part. Yeah I kind of f'ed up big time towards the end lol.

Had to start all over again, playing the game on a smarter way xD

Grand Theft Auto IV.  I rage quit that game twice and only played through the end in my third playthough, absolutely full of rage a huge part of the time.  The thing is, while most people like those games to have fun with the world, I like to play the missions for the story.  And the missions in GTA games are frustratingly set in stone.  What I mean is that they have to be played exactly how the developers intended, because if you try to get creative you get punished.

For instance, a mission tells you to kill a guy who's running away, but you shoot him with everything you have and nothing has an effect until you chase him to a specific place and some cutscene happens.  Because up until that point the game makes the guy invincible.  That's just stupid.

Then there are the car chases that have scripted vehicles show up out of nowhere to make sure you crash on them the first time and you need to dodge them the second time.  Those missions are designed to make sure you get killed at least once.

And then there's the fact that missions, save for the last one, don't have checkpoints.  If you die, you have to drive to the place where the mission starts, and then you have to drive yet again to the place where the mission really starts.  Restarting the mission is not a viable option, since if you do it you don't get back all the ammo/armor you lost before losing, and you lose the money/weapons the hospital/police took from you.

Most of the missions on this game are frustratingly, specifically designed to be trial an error.  That's just a lazy way to artificially extend the gameplay time.  Of course a game is going to have dozens of hours of gameplay if you spend about 75% of that time driving to the place where the mission starts and doing the mission over and over again until you learn the "correct" way to do it.

Still loved the game's story, though.  It'd be the only reason I'd consider playing this game again.  Red Dead Redemption didn't have these problems, and it was made after GTA IV, so I have really high hopes for GTA V.  I think they will have fixed those horrible problems for this one too.

Persona 4 Arena. Score Attack plus the online. Does everyone use Yu Narukami as their main? He can wipe the floor against Yukiko (my main).

Yu is actually my main :3

I can actually reach Chie now with Yu/Mitsuru/Labrys on Score Attack. But I've never raged on it, gave up on that trophy a long time ago.

Jak II: Escorting Crew's Men made me slam my head against the wall.C

MW2: Wetwork on Vetran. Broke my controller and was on the verge of tears after spending 45 minutes on one atempt. 50+ Atempts later, I still haven't beaten it. (Only reason I still don't have platinum.)

Sonic Adventure 2: Crazy Hazard, & The final level. I burst into tears, and broke my NGC.

James Bond, Blood Stone has to be the most frustrating game to get a plat on. The speedrun trophy is a bitch to do and the online trophies are so hard to get that I felt like giving in loads of times. I got there eventually there after much rage.

I challenge anyone reading this to buy the game and get platinum on it. The first person to do so who started the game anytime after today, I will buy them a premium membership on here.

Tekken 5. I couldn't beat 1 character in a story mode. All I've been doing was button-mashing. I was so mad, I threw the control pad on the floor every time I lost until it broke.  :(

But that was a long time ago, back when I feared failing... Everybody else can make it to the last boss, I couldn't. That's why I don't play them.
