Sprint toggle SOLVED!

I hope I don't seem too privileged by making this recommendation since it will cost some money but I'm figuring that most people trying to get these trophies are PS4 owners who also still own their old PS3. If not, invest in your future and get a Dualshock 4! Anyway, The stupid lack of a spring toggle has held me back from trying to plat this because, what a pain in the ass, but I figured out a way to negate that if you own a PS4 and/or Dualshock 4. Get the back button attachment for the dualshock 4 and assign L3 to one of the back buttons. It makes it so you can very easily spring by touching the back button. For me, it will make the difference of me going back to this game for my Nightmare run.

But this problem only affects the ps3 version, on the ps4 you can toggle run and it stays active until you run out of stamina.

As a side not a did get the platinum on the ps3 version despite not running most of the time.

I know. The game is damn near perfect on the PS4. I really enjoyed getting that plat. But going back to the PS3 version after finishing the PS4 one was jarring. The lack of toggle for sprint, the loads and saves taking so long, etc.
