But I believeย there will be little to no reason to buy a PS5 in the first year. Most people (including myself) have plenty of games to still play on PS4. Hell, massive triple AAA PS4 games are releasing right up to the launch of PS5... so where is the motivation to hype on PS5? ย Not to mention we really don't know how much COVID has impacted the PS5 launch. China manufacturing was heavily impacted this year, that's a FACT.ย We have alsoย definitely heard stories thatย its development has notย goneย smooth. Will this result in a rushed product? Will there be issues/malfunctions to worry about on launch units? Where are the day 1 launch games hype?ย Things to think about. ย I think in a year or so after launch there will be reasons to buy, but for now everything has been underwhelming so far news wise, and there isn't any plan for aย killer apps coming at launch, BET. I mean in the past they would have delayed a game like TLOU2 for the PS5, to give a huge launch title starting sales boost. It's arguably the biggest Sony exclusive for this year. ย This all comesย from a HUGEย sony gamesย fan. And no, i'm not buying the xbox at launch either. I feel like so far, Sony has given us ZERO real reasons to care about the PS5 launch. And i'd love to be turned around on this and come to find out that there are going to be day 1 exclusive launch titles or some other "need" to update to a PS5 over the PS4 Pro I have now. I hate how "backwards compatibility" has been a buzz word for ages and it isn't quite real, more like a half truth. It's like when "hover boards" came out a few years ago lol. If they had full compatibility I would probably buy it at release, but that's mostly because I have my original PS4 from launch and it's starting to get worn out with some damage and could use a replacementย -- but I totally am not through with my PS4 catalogue and expect toย get more mileage out of those titles in the first year or so of PS5. 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The remake could be the best PS5 game of all times and still would not be able to capture the magic of playing the original back in the day, and it doesn't have to. Nope! I can't speak to that title, or most, but some will definitely be on PS4. I love LOTR but Gollum wouldn't be my first choice of character to play as. ย Excited for Dying Light 2 and Elder Scrolls 6. Really liked Watch Dogs 2, but the trailer for Legion didn't grab me much. There's a few other interesting ones on the list but it'll probably be a couple of years at least until I get a PS5. There's still PS3 games I haven't got round to playing.ย ?
