Popular Post Parker
I don't have an issue with digital games, but I prefer to buy physical copies when I can, so I'll be buying the PS5 with a disc reader. Parker
Popular Post woggly4
Probably disc, depends on the price. But the fact, that there is a digital only version is kind of a statement about not bringing PS1-PS3 compatibility, isn't it? Or will the disc version be sold as the "Blu-ray and backwards compatibility"-PS5? Doubt it.

TheArcadeKid
If I get a PS5 at all, it'll probably be the digital version. Pretty much the only time I use the disc drive on my PS4 is when someone lends me a game - which isn't often, and it usually just gathers dust while I work my way through other games. I've bought and sold physical games maybe 10 times or so this generation. Could easily live without a disc drive. That said, my PS4 has been my sole DVD/Blu-Ray player for several years. But I don't even know what multimedia capabilities PS5 will have.

Popular Post TJ_Solo
I don't see why I would limit myself and not have access to using discs. Where did the energy about BC go? You kinda need a disc reader for the level of BC many here claim is so important. Options are good.

It doesn't mean anything yet
Popular Post Undead Wolf
Definitely the version of the console that takes discs. I love collecting physical games and the all-digital version is just too limiting. You're forced to accept whatever prices are on the PS Store, can't buy used games, borrow from a friend, etc. The version with the disc drive will be more expensive, but you may end up saving money in the long run depending on how you use it. Popular Post Viscera1900
Will be buying the disc version. 90% of my PS4 games are disc versions (not counting free PS Plus games) From time to time I like to admire my physical game collection. And I don’t have to be indecisive about what game to delete to make space for a new game, since installing the game data is much faster than downloading and installing it (I don’t have the fastest internet speed for it)
Popular Post Golem25
With, quite how anyone could willingly limit themselves to digital-only I shall never understand. Never mind having a preference for those titles, which I can respect, but voluntarily giving up the possibility to use discs is, to me, absurd; there's no reason not to have the disc drive there even if it's a matter of 'just in case'.
Popular Post viaene96
Disc version, I like to collect special edition of games with statues and steelbooks. And than you can show your game collection.
EdinhoN
Even though 90% of my games nowadays are digital (mostly so I'm able to self-boost many games with my 2nd ps4), I see a Digital-only PS5 without a disc drive as a complete bummer: many times I bought discs due to them being cheaper than digital games who never get on sale, or even if they have been delisted. I'd never buy the Digital-Only PS5 because I'd be shooting at my own feet
Mayellie
Most of my games are digital due to my PS4 either ejecting discs or not taking them in every now and then, even though I prefer and own a few discs. I don’t want to be locked out of an option, so I’ll likely go with disc. What if I find a ton of really good disc deals from a retailer closing shop? Or a friend giving me a game they no longer want? Can’t do that as much if I own a digital-only PS5. I like to keep my options open.
Sagaan
Ofc with disc, to buy games only digital u waste alot of cash, cuz most sales r trash. Used games r always cheaper then in psn sales. 4k player also dope
Rally-Vincent---
With disc. Why would I buy a console without a disc slot? I prefer physical games.

sepheroithisgod
I will get Disc, but I just want to say the digital version looks much nicer.
Popular Post Shadiochao
Any money saved by buying the disc-less version will be lost after buying one or two games anyway. Digital games cost so much more.
