I would say that it has a complicated storyline, with every character's story being told not only in their own storylines, but also secretly implied in others' storyline, but once you get into it, the whole setting and story are fascinating. The battle mode is not challenging if you choose easy or normal, and the UI looks minimal and confusing. Vanillaware might not have enough budget to finish the whole game, but if you focus on the story, it is a masterpiece.

Another update from me.. 

 

After years finely finish Primal (yes, it can be 100% in under an hour, but I wanted to actually "play" it to earn the trophies, even if it's a terrible port...). 

 

Also played Seasons After Fall, not exactly what I was expecting.. Actually only bought it because was bundled with Shiness and only played it for the easy plat, although the experience wasn't that bad.

 

I also made a slightly change in my list again, and decided to play Metropolis Lux Obscura instead of Nightmares From the Deep.. Really don't feel like Metropolis was worth the 3€ that I paid for it.. Although was an ok experience, even if it is a stupidly short game, with some of the worst luck intensive gameplay mechanics.. 

 

Now I should start my #6, but I don't have my ps3 setup yet, nor feel like setting it up as of now.. My other option is Persona 5 Dancing, but since I want to play P4DAN before P5DIS, that's out of the equation.. Maybe I can find something else.. #5 is in standby because while we only need the base 100% for the event, I plan to get the full 100% when I start playing it for good.

Finished up two more with two left to go! Not sure I'll get both done in the next week, but I'll do my best. I finished Enter the Gungeon last week and finished Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered tonight to knock out 3 and 6. Gungeon is close to being my favorite game I played this year. I don't have any rogue-lite style games in my profile and I don't remember if I've played anything like it before. While FF7R is my favorite game of the year (big nostalgia boost there though), Gungeon was something new and exciting for me. The gun puns were fantastic and the game just played really well. It is not an easy game at all, however if you get lucky, there are runs that become much easier than others. While I would highly recommend Gungeon, I can't say the same for Ghostbusters. I love the movies and the original cast doing the voices was cool, but everything felt very meh about the game. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It was quick enough to get through and wasn't painful to finish as a trophy list, but unless you get it on a really good sale, your money is probably better spent elsewhere.

Phew, got there! Call of Cthulhu was what I'd hoped it would be, story and game play wise. I think I just like hunting for clues and stuff, and I've always liked horror games. The character points aspects could have been built on a bit more, much like The Council, but the game as a whole was really solid. Will be looking for more of those ones!

Really enjoyed this event! I got lucky with the numbers because I had a few suitable games that were started years ago, and that's helped me get over the precious 50% overall completion mark for the 1st time!

- Still one of the best RPGs I ever played. Characters, Story, Music.. love it! Can´t wait for the next Ys game arriving in the West.

 

9 - 1689 - Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner HD Edition [PS3]

==> As I already wrote here I was enjoying the first hours of this game. This was also true for the rest of the time I took to platinum this game.

- The only things that got on my nerves where the two rescue missions. Everything else was solid. The Anime cut-ins where one of the best additions. 

 

0 - 5170 - Grow Up [PS4]

==> I was really looking forward to play and finish this game and was laughing many times because playing the robot B.U.D. makes so much fun. Also those humming insects made me laugh many times. The bigger world compared to the predecessor Grom Home was an addition I liked very much. Those challenges (You can compare it with races against the clock) I did not like at all. Either they were very easy with Power Ups or I were not able to complete them in time because I touched the last checkpoint on the last second.. and the game does not count it when the last checkpoint is touched in the last second. So.. I retried some challenges many times until I was able to finish the challenge.

- But the Savegame corruption was just the worst thing that could happen... Okay, I read about it that this could happen in this game and I hopped that I would not encounter this.. but my savegame broke.

Whole story: Made a backup of the savegame yesterday after I already finished the story when I only needed to scan two flowers for the "Floraforms" trophy >> After the backup I continued playing yesterday, scanned the two flowers (Got the trophy "Floraforms" in the process) and collected some more of the crystals >> Did not make a new backup because I was tired when I stopped playing >> Continued today and got kicked out of the game with one of the well known CE-Error codes >> Started the game up and.. savegame gone, game only allowed me to start a new game >> Remembered my backup from yesterday and restored it >> And collected everything I already collected today anew before the savegame broke >>  Collected all crystals, finished all challenges and had achieved all story trophies already yesterday >> But did not get the "BUD-tanical Brilliance" trophy for finishing the game 100% >> Checked some guides for the game and checked the floraform catalogue.. and noticed that I was missing some flower scans.. which were the same I scanned AFTER I made the backup >> Scanned them and got the "BUD-tanical Brilliance" trophy completely out of place. 

==> Lesson learned: Make backups if a game is known for crashing every 30 minutes and make them also if you are tired and only want to go to bed.

 

Last words: I wish you all the best and that NOBODY of you people encounters the same issue I encountered in the last days of the challenge!

Sadly, since last time and for the whole later half of August, I didn’t get enough off-time to sit down comfy and game, thus not much progress was made to earn my colours. (」°ロ°)」I finished Cat Quest which continued to be purrfectly adorable right up to end and finally honoured my promise to play the Shiba Inu VN (originally developed for PC, I think) which I prefer to call Dogeful Girlfriends: Deadly Matrix Edition in my mind. 
 

I started this event by going back to my backlog and I had vague plans to end it in the same manner. I went back to stare at my old and shared PS3 backlog and by chance, ended up starting Kingdom Hearts 1.5. To think it’s been 18 years since I first played KH1... but everything about Destiny Islands and beyond was still very familiar. The game is far shorter and easier than I remembered but the combat during lategame is every bit as fun as back when I first played it. With 4 playthroughs, this game sure is putting me to work for the platinum. 

 

After Kingdom Hearts, I’m not sure that I’ll manage to nail another number down time-wise but I’ll be sure to hit off the spooky season ? early with Lone Survivor!

Finished  7 - 3767 - Everybody's Gone To The Rapture [PS4] only some minutes ago.

Did not know what I had to expect from this game, but it was fun. The walking is okay, you can walk faster while pressing R2. The presentation of the story was good and the game kept me interested. This game is more like a "playable peace of art". Especially the sky at night with all those light effects. Just beautiful. Nice game to relax. And also funny: I encountered the bug where I could not get the "Backtracker" trophy after my first NG run. So I did get the "Backtracker" trophy in the 2nd run for "Radio Enthusiast". 

 

So, wow, I completed all the ten games. Did not expect it after I had to invest ~ 300 hours into SWORD ART ONLINE RE: HOLLOW FRAGMENT and only finished this as my first event game at the fifth of august. Thanks to you all for keeping this challenge post interesting to read with your updates and providing likes to each other!

Also as with all those events: Thanks to @eigen-space for hosting this event and providing the batches! I hope that your Laptop can be fixed. Guess some others and me could help you with spare parts but I guess the living locations are to much away ?

This is awesome news lol I was looking through my 'shorter games' backlog to see what I have that might work...now I have some time to play something longer so thank you!

 

Finished up Erica this morning. It was not bad....definitely needed a chapter select though. Six full playthroughs (seven in my case since I messed up once ) is a tad bit excessive....The good news was it only takes about an hour and twenty minutes or so for a playthrough and the different things you have to do add depth to the overall story...but it's kind of like watching the same movie six times in a row with a few different deleted scenes sprinkled in each one...Anyways only one left to go!

That sucks. Didn't you had the same problem during last year event too, or was before that? 

 

For me this actually works nicely, because my vacations aren't being as much gaming oriented as I had planned (plus I'm getting side tracked with Project Cars and when I hadn't access to the ps4, I returned to Conception 2.. Didn't even continue Ghost of Tsushima yet..). 

 

Since I don't have my consoles around until Monday (I'm borrowing my brother's ps4, have the Vita and no ps3 now), I will just change my plans and borrow A Plague Tale to use for #6 instead of the Tales from Monkey Island game.. Hopefully I can do that and King's Quest before the end of the month (well, ideally I would want to finish A Plague Tale before Sunday afternoon..)

I've finally finished Uncharted: Golden Abyss and now I'm done with my list. This is the first event I've completed on PSNP and it was a good one. I didn't expect to finish all 10 so I'm happy with it.
