Popular Post Jake-TheGreat97
I just finished the game and managed to do so without having anything spoiled for me beforehand. All I heard beforehand was stuff that was super vague such as people saying that after seeing the leaks they didn't want to play the game anymore but not being specific about it. One of the main things that I did after hearing that the entire plot was leaked was to avoid watching any videos of the game. I remember when God Of War 2018 was coming out, I watched a couple of video reviews and trailers for the game right before the game came out. For what ever reason, as soon as the game came out, YouTube's algorithm decided to recommend videos to me that spoiled major parts of the game. So I made sure the same thing didn't happen with this game. How about the rest of you, were you able to avoid spoilers? Bloodytears1666
Still yes, I'm not even know what the confrontation with ND is about, and everything else.
Popular Post StraightVege
I largely have so far, other than the main one people rant about. I'm the type that doesn't really care about being spoiled, though. And yeah, the channels that put up spoiler thumbnails and titles on day one are scumbags. I've had things spoiled before by them in the YT sidebar, when I was watching something completely unrelated.
dmland12
I'm still living under a rock. I'll certainly want to play the game sometime, since I really liked the first one and I'm curious as to how it managed to stir up the hornet's nest, but it might be a while before I do.
Popular Post Nitemares-----
I was able to avoid too, it's not that hard, just avoid social media updates with comments and don't be a real genius and look up spoilers. ? Nothing but a bunch of self entitled babies who do nothing but bash the game, if you don't like it, don't play it or just move on. Popular Post Sword
Yeah, I didn't see or hear of any leaks before the game came out (though I knew about the leaks). After the game came out, I watched a few streams and made my own independent choice on what I saw. Won't be playing it myself unless it's like $5 someday or something cheap, but it's not a 0/10 game either. More 7-8ish out of 10. Go experience it for yourself I'd say and see how you like it.
Popular Post rolldogg187
Completely avoided the spoilers/leaks and obviously glad i did the game is amazing and although not perfect doesnt deserve the low scores that crybabies who dont know how to compartmentalize are giving it.
Popular Post MarcusPunisher
I actively research them and I'm glad that I did, cause it made sure that I don't give ND any money for this game. I couldn't believe how bad the story was before saw the actual footage. Edited June 21, 2020 by MarcusPunisher
Conor
Managed to avoid them but I doubt it would have negatively affected my desire to play it even if it had been spoiled for me
Segimon
Nope. I never played the game. But the first comment I saw (from a PlayStation Instagram post) was a major spoiler from the last of us II. Note to self: avoid comment sections like the plague.
iGGTheEnd
I avoided pretty much all spoilers, just finished the game 5 minutes ago just watching the credits roll now. I loved the game but not as much as the first but honestly I didn't think the story could hold up with the first one anyways. But I will say the second half of the game gets pretty fucking nuts. I'm glad I held out on spoilers I was so tempted to just look but it was all worth the wait.
FFATMA
I was lucky enough to avoid all the spoilers and I loved part 2. I definitely think the game would be much, much better if you didn't have it spoiled and arrived at key moments naturally.
cometowner
i wish there is option at user level that prevent seeing threads of a game i don't own. ppl start complaining and spoiling
BrandedBerserk
Unfortunately i wasn’t able to avoid all spoilers but it hasn’t gotten in the way of my decision on wether I was gonna purchase the game or not. So far all the things that made the first game great are present but with better and more violent gameplay so I’m enjoying it a ton. My only gripes as of now would be that the companions still run around like fools but it’s made even worst here because there’s times where they’ll shove you out of cover or take a spot you’re occupying which can result in failed stealth sequences or death and another is the clickers, do they have eyes now or something? They seem to catch me despite being awfully quiet at times but this could be because I’m on survival difficulty. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was one of them games where majority of those who have experienced the full thing will enjoy it and those who haven’t but have seen the leaks will stick to their guns on calling it an abomination of a game 0/10.
SCMassam96
I read some of the leaks and I've saw spoilers from people who played it (don't worry I'm not going to say anything) personally I was on the fence whether TLOU needed a sequel and the spoilers don't give me much hope in proving me wrong. The gameplay looks good though, so I might pick it up and experience it fully when it goes cheaper but for now I'm just going to stick with catching up on my backlog. I'm glad some people enjoyed it though.
Ric
Yes, I knew nothing besides the fact there were leaks and that it was supposed to be bad. Probably because I don't do much with social media, and avoided all content for this game for the last month. After finishing the plat (1st playthough blind), I must agree though. In my opinion, the game is great beside the story and character development. Which are the most important part of these games, so I was pretty disapointed with it overall.
droppingtherock
Never read a spoiler. Haven't finished yet but loving it so far. I haven't the faintest what everyone was so worked up over when they leaked.
Xyleh
My key to avoiding spoilers was to not care about the game or the developer at all.
Road2unner
Just finished it. Managed to avoid all spoilers and really happy about it. Yeah, some things were somewhat obvious, but there definitely were some surprises.

that_dude_cam_ps
Just got to the part in the game that was most recently shown during state of play. Was not spoilered at all, so definitely surprised by the twists and turns so far. I think the key to avoid spoilers is to not read comments about the game, or watch videos that are not directly from the dev or a reputable previewer. I have never had a story spoiled for me and have played 100s of games.

Its way more intense and exciting when resources are scarce. Clickers only can see you, when they start screetching. I think they "open" their faces, thus their eyes can actually see sth. for a short period.
BlazzingWind
Yup, Been avoiding everything like the plague. I have the game, just not able to start it yet. All that i know is vauge details about why people are upset. The only *spoiler* one of my friends told me was to try and think of the game as a complege seperate entity from the first game so it doesnt hurt so bad when it sucks. I'm still holding out hope for a good experience though. To everyone else that managed to avoid major spoilers, congrats, it was not easy.
Grample_Gust
me bruh i stayed off social media for two entire months, i only just now found out how jarring the reception from people is, happy to say it was worth it because i genuinely think my perception of the game would have been altered substantially i walked away very satisfied, like i had just finished a really good tv series or movie saga Edited June 22, 2020 by Grample_Gust
AshJammy
Yep, I figured it was probably what it actually was though. I just assumed it would happen much later in the game but nope, right at the start. I still enjoyed it but I'm not counting it as canon.
