I guess the fact that she speaks English and has an easily understandable (and cute ) voice really helps me favor her content first. I've even gotten to the point of checking her live streams on Twitch. They're damn funny to watch. The only bad thing is that my connection sucks so much that I constantly keep going back and forth between barely-watchable 360P resolution to the completely-unwatchable 160P wasteland. It's okay, I still get a kick of just listening to her comments playing the game. Sometimes I just go do other stuff around the Internet and listen to her commentary in the background. It's kind of like hearing a podcast or a radio show in the background while I do other stuff. The main allure, of course, is that this show is about a lewd catgirl doing all sorts of random shit in a videogame, which goes great in my book. I have even though about subscribing to her chalnnel and simping her... Oh my... Whoa, this shit is dangerous. Better be careful. I'll see how deep I can go into this rabbit hole, hopefully, without getting burned out. Her main YouTube channel is getting updated frequently too, and whoever is in charge of the editing of her videos to highlight the best part of her streams does an excellent job. Isn't she a lovely bundle of chaos and insanity? But, of course, it was 'Tenshi ni fureta yo' and just like almost 10 years ago (Yes, the 2nd season of K-ON is that old), it immediately flipped a certain switch in my head, what caused my emotions to go highwire and had me fighting against the tears. And yes, this is my own video, and yes, I was emotionally more exhausted after finishing it than I'd like to admit. Still a fantastic song though (but I'm never going to sub it again, NEVER EVER). Someone who has never watched K-ON probably can't understand all of this, but those who did probably get the same kind of feels as I did. Spoiler Also, Azu-nyan still best girl. We regret to announce that, due to personal reasons, 5th generation member Mano Aloe will be graduating from hololive on Monday, August 31, 2020. We apologize for the misunderstandings caused last time due to the lack of a translated official announcement and the delay in adding subtitles to the apology stream. As such, we would like to explain the circumstances in more detail this time. Mano Aloe debuted as part of hololive’s 5th generation on Saturday, August 15, 2020. However, after signing the contract with COVER Corporation but prior to her official debut, Mano Aloe conducted a test live stream on the video streaming service TwitCasting, in which she used her then-unreleased Live2D model. This stream recording was not deleted afterwards and remained available to the public. As a result, her model and the nature of her character were leaked prior to the debut of 5th generation. COVER Corporation deemed this to be a breach of contract for disclosure of confidential information, and as such placed a two-week suspension on Mano Aloe, which began on Monday, August 17, 2020. Upon further discussion, however, Mano Aloe decided that she was not physically or mentally prepared to continue with her activities. It's a cover with 24 members of the Hololive Vtubers. Some of you have probably already seen it, but in case you haven't, here it is. If this doesn't reach out to you, then whoa... I thought it was super sweet. ^^ Additionally, I really like this clip of Fubuki creating a somewhat hard stage in Super Mario Maker 2 and then seeing the reactions of the rest of the group as they attempt to beat the stage, with varying degrees of success and frustration. Obligatory Nyanners-related content. It's been a while since she last uploaded the cover of a song, but I can see she's a very good singer regardless. This song is very honest of her to be fair, it really describes how "clean" and "pure" she is. Two days later, she then uploads this. ? No kidding. I can see myself having a similar reaction to hers. I had almost forgotten how it feels like to smile, since I haven't been able to smile a single time (or at least feel any kind of positive emotion) since the announcement of Aloe's graduation. That shit hit me way harder than I thought it would. And despite feeling incredibly dead inside, I still somehow managed to finish subbing the only full song we ever got from her. I'm not sure if my color choice for the subtitles was a great choice, but it somehow felt right while working on it. I probably should have made the subtitles slightly larger though. I have my doubts they're going to be as good as the Japanese ones when it comes to their personality, but that's based off how toxic a lot of the current English-speaking vtubers are at the moment. I'm hoping the "officialness" of being attached to Hololive means they won't be garbage. ? I should note that not all current English-speaking vtubers have bad personalities. Those are the two I've seen the most fan art for anyway. ? Just based on design, I really like the shark girl, but they're all good. I'm looking forward to actually hearing them speak. It's pretty sweet to see the Japanese vtubers welcome the English ones. I saw Polka even sung Reach Out To The Truth for them. ? This makes me chuckle. ? Amelia Watson was also a lot more high energy than I was expecting, especially with the "Watson Concoction" bit that had me laughing ? I look forward to seeing what they will do later on and I hope Watson plays L.A. Noire at some point For the other girls I skimmed through their VODs but I look forward to seeing what they will do too. I've watched all of the debut streams from start to finish and I'm really impressed! They were all lovable in their own way. It's very difficult for me to pick a favourite, but if I had to, I'd probably go with Watson Amelia right now because of how full of energy and enthusiastic she was. I certainly wasn't expecting things to go in the direction they did thanks to the "Watson Concoction". ? Very entertaining stream. Plus, she's British, so I'm obligated to support her. ? The two "runners up" for me have to be Mori Calliope and Gawr Gura. Mori Calliope left a great first impression. I loved her personality. She can be a bit on he vulgar side sometimes, but you can tell she's actually really sweet. ? Oh, and her song was amazing! I've listened to it probably a dozen times already. ? Gawr Gura was undoubtedly the cutest of the bunch. Her stream was really funny. Like @Redgrave pointed out, she's a very good singer as well. ❤️ Ninomae Ina’nis' stream was pretty chill and wholesome despite her looking like some Cthulhu monster (she's actually human though). ? Really talented artist. What an amazing-looking end screen! And finally we have Takanashi Kiara. She didn't really grab me as much as the others did, but her stream wasn't bad by any means. Probably had the best taste in video games and anime out of all the girls. I like how much respect and admiration she has for Pekora and it was funny seeing Kiara's reaction when she started posting in chat. However I see people trying to post stuff about Taiwan in other chats which is an incredibly stupid idea.
