Isn’t that exactly what Joel did though? He (we) slaughtered everyone without thinking. I don’t think some people reflected on what he did, I mean, yes, we loved Joel and Ellie and bonded to them so we seem to light off what he did, but, outside of that picture, Joel it’s a freaking monster.

Not to mention he blasted an opportunity for the vaccine. And I’m saying opportunity because who knows... maybe Ellie could have died for nothing, and then, Joel could have slaughtered them all anyway.

That was the whole moral of the story (whether it was right or wrong - you're left to find your own peace with it). But there are definitely two sides like you say - as it was an opportunity and who's to say it would work. If the WHO can't find a vaccine for many diseases in todays world. What makes the fireflies think they can just assume to get a vaccine out of dissecting an immune. It's never always THAT easy. There is a 100% difference between what Abby and Joel did though. She cowardly tortured him out of spite and hatred.. Joel did what he did to save someone. Also, I don't know who (probably Isaac) thought it was a good idea to allow Abby go to find Joel with a load of soldiers to take revenge. Doesn't the community have more problems to deal with than Abby's personal vendetta. I feel like with all those people around her too, she wouldn't still be seeking revenge after 4 years. She'd still be angry and would hate joel but not enough to endanger all her friends or herself. But I guess Abby is possibly the most selfish person based on many of her scenes - the whole Lev thing for me didn't really fit with her character.

Lets be seriously honest, do you really think that if the fireflies did make a vaccine from Ellie that they would just simply hand it out to everyone? Nope. They would use it against people. If they are the only one with a cure, no chance are they going to 'save the world'. Also another thing to note is that Abby's father never answered if he would go through with it if it was his daughter's life. Truth is, he wouldn't. No in a million years. In fact, in Joel's position I can guarantee he would do the same thing or at least try to.

I didn't say that. I don't think she regrets killing Joel, in her mind he got what he deserved. I'm just saying torturing her father's killer to death didn't fix anything for her, and she knows it. She realizes she can't change the past, but she can still help Lev and Yara.

I understand that but I don't know how Druckmann expected us to care about Abby because of that reason. What you said is basically Abby's entire story arc. The whole game was a mess. They should have told it in a very different way. I'm going way off topic but I just can't get my head around Druckmann's direction. It just comes across as an extremely weak excuse for a sequel. Still can't get my head around the fact Joel and Tommy were so inviting to a group of strangers while Tommy was so out of character the entire game. Meanwhile Ellie killed hundreds of people yet couldn't kill Joel's killer. It really just doesn't make sense. Lev's terrified look at Abby is understandable why it made Abby stop killing Dina but who was there to stop Ellie? So many little plotholes and senseless story moments. In my opinion it's simply lazy story writing.

@Last-_-Judgment Abby’s character is definitely more twisted, she is still young so it’s plausible for her to be that obsessed, I honestly think she didn’t even care too much about “her friends” maybe a little for Owen but even then, revenge out-weights it, you can see that in the scenes. Those kids saved her life, I guess, sometimes something clicks on you, and I guess that what happens to her.

You are right, Fireflies could easily have taken even more advantage of a vaccine, they are similar to the WLF as they don’t hesitate to blow up QZ, and we know how they ended. In the end, I guess they showed us how selfish and evil humans are, but I hope they also deliver us in part 3 how kind and selfless we can also be.

It did seem strange how Tommy immediately told them they were from a large settlement and even invited them to come back and stock up. Maybe it was because Abby helped saved them, I don't know.

The idea is that Joel and Tommy have been living the good life for 5 years. They settled down and thought they could live out their days in happiness and security. There's no immediate danger in and around Jackson, they only go out from time to time to clear out a bunch of infected. It's also not a closed community, they're constantly taking in new people.

Personally, their behavior didn't seem out of character to me, but I can see why some people have problems with it.

Definitely would like to see TLOU3 Abby/Lev/FFs hunting down Ellie for a vaccine hope.

If Ellie survives that/no cure is possible (which I'd like so that Joel's choice has more weight), then I'd like the FFs to build a rocket to the moon for a new civilization. Would love to see Ellie finally become an astronaut.

After reading an article, it seems like me, and a lot of people presumably, has missed that the Main Menu screen post-credits, it’s actually the Catalina Casino, thus, Abby and Lev reached Santa Calina with the Fireflies.

I genuinely thought this was The Resort from a back perspective somehow, and didn’t give it too much thought.
