How to obtain glitched trophies

I have installed the 1.09 game version, but the total game size is 61.08 GB, not 60.779 as shown in the video. Is that okay?

 

UPD: apparently okay. Game crashed once but I have earned remaining glitchy trophies (earn 500K, spend 500K) successfully.

Is there any reason why I don't have a proper .json file?

Okay, i think i worked it out,

In my list i have 2 .json's with other crap in front of it.

I created a remote mapping for both and made sure the following pathway was listed.

 

Host: gs2.ww.prod.dl.playstation.net

Port: 80

Path: /gs2/ppkgo/prod/CUSA03617_00/72/f_6c3faab1ab7f2485076aa29f7a982d99c8acdd4de8822c9072b736cb8e8fbdb9/f/EP1001-CUSA03617_00-MAFIA30000000001-A0109-V0101.json

 

My initial attempt i pasted the whole url that was provided on this website.

Which if you did the same makes the file path go to https://gs2.ww.prod.dl.playstation.net/https//gs2/ww.prod.dl.playstation.net/gs2/ppkgo........

Making an error with the file path (2x https:// on the same filepath)

So I broke it up as above.

EU version

 

I am now downloading 60.779gb instead of 62gb which was version 1.12. so pretty confident i have done it.

You can as long as every time you start the game you go and stop the automatic download to version 1.12.  It is recommended that you turn your network connection off before you start playing mafia 3 and then you can turn it back on when you finish the session.

Hi All,

After reading all related threads about glitched trophies, i could not find out updated news about getting the plat on PS Now version, correct me if i'm wrong, but i can't downgrade and play the game if i'm using PSNow, because i need internet check to start the game?

Most PS4 games on PS Now are downloable, so you can still downgrade this game if you download it, not stream it.

 

After downgrading the game, you can still play offline. You just have to log into PSN once a week in order for Sony to check your subscription validity.

 

If you don't downgrade the game to patch v1.09, don't bother playing. It's a waste of time.

On certain patches the trophies simply won’t unlock after you’ve met the requirements. Patch 1.09 and I think patch 1.01 (it’s the patch I platted the game on) are the only

ones that will allow you to earn all trophies as intended.

I'm attempting to do it this way now. I deleted my old save from 2016, popped in the disc, and started fresh with no patches so I'm playing on basically Version 1.00 hoping to get the remaining trophies for the platinum which are basically all the glitched ones I have left. I'm about halfway through the story and so far, all the trophies have popped as they should. The only bug I encountered was one time when I started one of the early missions in the game where you have to wait for the Haitians, a couple of the cars on the road just flew up in the air randomly and then crashed down and nearly landed on me during the cutscene. It was actually pretty funny. But other than that, it's running perfectly fine without any patches. I'm also playing on PS5 so maybe that's helping its performance. 

 

I'm also not doing it all in one sitting, I've already quit and shut off the game many times so we'll see. From what I've read Version 1.00 is fine as far as glitched trophies are concerned. Regardless, I'm going to find out for myself in the next couple days whether that's true or not.

Well, playing on Version 1.00 did not work. Even the trophies I did manage to earn while playing on Version 1.00 did not sync once you reconnect to the internet so it was a total waste of time. Don't do it. I'm not even frustrated because I pretty much already convinced myself that it wasn't going to work before I even attempted it. 

 

Can't be bothered trying to figure out all that computer jargon to downgrade to Version 1.09 so I'm going to attempt to play it in 'one sitting' but take advantage of rest mode as others have stated and hope/pray the game doesn't crash. Hasn't crashed yet on PS5 so I think it's pretty safe. We'll see, on to attempt #2.

I managed to get the trophies to sync after I posted that comment. I just had to manually sync my trophy list and it didn't happen automatically for whatever reason. 

 

I knew it wasn't working when I went for the money trophies. I used the infinite money exploit in French Ward when I first started a new session. I had about 120k in my stash and about 30k in my wallet when I started so I figured I only had to get about 350k with the exploit. Didn't pop when I got another 350k, only popped when I achieved 500k in one session. At that point I knew there's no way Family or The New Boss is going to pop so I just aborted that run with only 1 district left. Closed Casket didn't pop for me either even though I've gotten well over 50 brutal takedowns and I I was focusing on that from the start. I managed to get Wrecker to pop naturally early on so I thought I was good to go but looking back, I was focusing on that early too and I probably got all 10 takedowns in one session. That's the only reason why I got it to pop.

You can get the glitched trophies by not shutting off the game and completing it in 'one sitting' or by utilizing rest mode. You just can't quit the game because then the counter resets, putting the console on rest mode keeps the game running still which is necessary to get these glitched trophies. It's easily manageable, you just have to hope the game doesn't crash on you or your power goes out or something because then you'd have to start over. I managed to get The New Boss glitched trophy today by doing this as well as Family. The game crashed soon after I completed the final district and I already unlocked The New Boss about a half hour earlier luckily but I'm pretty sure that only happened because PSN went down and I was still playing online at the time so the game immediately crashed when that happened. The Family trophy still unlocked for me despite the game crashing because I didn't have any of the underbosses at max loyalty yet before the game crashed. If I maxed one underboss before the game crashed, it would've voided that trophy and I would've had to start over. I got really lucky with the timing of the crash basically. Unreliable PSN nearly ruined my run lol. 

 

I'm going to do the kill run completely offline just to be extra safe. It's definitely doable.
