Swapped Cyberpunk for Ni No Kuni since I'm not sure if I wanna start Cyberpunk before getting a PS5. 

 

So I finally finished Monster Sanctuary and I totally loved it. Still playing it on my switch using other Monsters. 

If you like Pokémon / Metroidvania definitely give it a look. 

Guess Fenyx will be next but also started ni no kuni again and still lovin it. 

Already did the Ps3 Version so I know I might not be able to put that game away till I'm done. 

Guess it'll also be last add/swap for the event so that's my final list. Guess I should be able to do that and might finish off 1-2 more games during my holidays.

Update #4 of 6.

 

What's up everyone? First of all, I hope you all are having a great holiday with your family. Normally, I post my monthly update on the very last day of the month but I decided to do it now because, in all honesty, I will not be trophy hunting until after the holidays are over. With that said, I did make some progress on some games. I was able to finally 100% Uncharted 4 thanks to someone's post about the community tab on the game. I must say, those guys are the real deal. I was able to get everything done in 2 hours. Once I got done, I finished up 100% Resident Evil 2, which wasn't on the list since it was at like 95% and quickly moved on Resident Evil 3. What can I say about that game? I read the reviews on people being upset about it and while I just got it on Black Friday at a heavy discount, I cannot help but also feel cheated out of it. I cannot complain much because I never played the original PS version thus not knowing exactly what it was that they took out but it was a joke and slap on the face from Capcom to the fanbase on creating such a short game. Game looks gorgeous but it did not justify the initial release price. I was so disappointed that instead of grinding points to unlock the rocket launcher so I can use it for my speed run and S Rank run, I decided to just buy the DLC weapons and get it over it. I know I should had not encouraged that behavior but I could not see myself spending hours to unlock one item. Once I got it done, I just jumped directly into Resident Evil 7 and it was quite an experience. Loved the twist on the storyline but the casual "running" does get annoying quickly. Got the platinum on the base game and was able to get some of the DLC done but the progress is really slow. I am not really enjoying it but eventually I will get it done. 

 

In other news, I was able to get myself a PS5 ?. Now, I was able to get on the queue of PS Direct and order one directly from Sony last Thursday and received it on Monday. However, I did get it for the wrong reason, to resell it. It has been almost a week and I have yet to post or even take it out of the box. I don't know what to do. Money isn't an issue but there are no PS5 games that interest me enough to justify on getting it. Let me know what you guys think I should do.

Haven't made a post in awhile, but I managed to play a few games from my list and even complete one! So here is a quick rundown from what I've played the past few weeks. 

 

First game I think I played was Immortals Fenyx Rising and even tho I didn't Breath of The Wild(which game is pretty much a copy of), I'm enjoying this game alot. Want to get back to it soon but I have a feeling it's gonna take quite a while to get the platinum. 

 

Next was the most anticipated game of the year, Cyberpunk, and it's.....I think perfectly average. From what I've played so far in the game it just seems very boring and slow but I'm gonna continue with it in a few weeks once they patch the game a little more. It's just a shame that it didn't really live up to the hype for me since I really do like this kind of world setting. 

 

Next was Dirt 5. THEY FINALLY PATCHED THE TROPHIES IN THE PS5 VERSION! So I decided to drop everything and work on the platinum and now I'm 7th ever person to get the platinum! Woo! Very fun game but I still think Dirt 2 is my favorite from the Dirt Series.

 

Then finally Ghosts of Tsushima. Finally finished the story and got the platinum and man, what a game! Really enjoyed the story and characters and i'm excited to play Legends mode since everyone seems to love it, so I am hyped.

 

Oh and I played a little bit of Ghostrunner but didn't get a trophy yet, but from the hour I played, was very fun. 

 

The goal from this list is probably to work on Immortals or Ghostrunner, and then go from there. But we will see. Oh and once the new year hits, I'll finally start Tony Hawk since I signed up for The Ultra Rare Cleanup and it's one of the first games i'll be doing in that list.

Update 13!

Made more progress in Hakuoki, and a tiny bit more in Asdivine Kamura too. I got my 4000^th trophy this week too, while playing Hakuoki. I’m also adding Syrup and the Ultimate Sweet this week because I completed it this week. Might as well add it to the list and feel like I’m making more progress in terms of plats!

 

Not much else to update about. More in my daily life is looking up, still not a whole lot of time to spare playing games yet.

Wrapped up my nightmare run of Trails of Cold Steel IV, which was pretty easy overall.  Only battles that posed any challenge were ones where I was forced to use certain party members in the attack group, which is always annoying since I'm just going to give them the boot the moment their turn comes up anyhow.  Plat ended up taking about 90 hours, but I skipped pretty much all scenes on my nightmare run to do it as quickly as possible since for me this was more like my fifth playthrough due to needing three for the JP plat.

 

Also made some progress in the grind for Sengoku Basara.  Got the trophy for playing 100 hours now and also the one for 1 million zennys which allowed me to start crafting the non-unique accessories.  37 playthroughs completed now.  Am also working on KOing fugitives with my chosen character and will need to do some farming for the remaining weapons for the characters I have all the unique accessories for.  Most of the remaining trophies are either very grindy or very annoying (like beat story mode with 100 or less KOs or beating a battle using only Basara arts are a bit on the annoying side).  My estimate is that it's going to take me about a month to wrap up the grind on this one.

 

And all that remains now in Stranger of Sword City is beating the post game boss, which definitely is going to require some more level grinding and equipment farming to pull off.  Got all the remaining miscellaneous trophies for obtaining specific items.  Probably won't finish this one before the end of the year but should finish it before the end of this challenge.

I am halfway with my collectible run. Scary thing is that the game doesn't keep track on the secret areas you have to find.  No clue if I have found everything....

 

Star Wars BF II (PS4)

Made a big jump in the number of obtained trophies. Got the SP and DLC out of the way, also obtained some Mp trophies. But more important; I am still enjoying the game!

 

Shinobodi 2 (PSVita)

Interesting old skool game. Feels a bit PS3/PS2 but that doesn't mind. It is fun on the PSVita and you can just play a couple of mission if you have some time left.

Update #10: In the nearly two months since my last update, I've made minimal progress. Thankfully, I've completed a couple of games and made progress in a few others during the holidays.. I can't believe I hadn't played Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons sooner; it was heart-achingly good! I'm a crier, so that ending was brutal for me. Letter Quest Remastered was easy enough to finish, but there was a slight grind to 3000 words post-game. I also started Cat Quest and currently find it purrsitively delightful, if not a bit repetitive at times. As for the swaps, I realized at my current rate, I wouldn't be able to complete most of the longer games on my list. So I decided to swap out two of the lengthier games and reserve my last swap, just in case.. Hope everyone had a great holiday season! Cheers to 2021! ?

I'm back to working on SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom. I completed the Mermalair and Kelp Forest levels. From the looks of things, only have two more levels to fully complete and some shiny objects to grind out before I fight the final boss. The rolling ball puzzle in the Mermalair wasn't too difficult, but the slide in the Kelp Forest just about drove me insane. The plan is to finish it after some rest or get really damn close.

Since my last update which was I think somewhere halfway in November, I’ve made no progress towards the games I entered for this challenge. I’ve tried starting The Last of Us 2 once or twice, but always felt the need to first finish the Left Behind DLC, which I still haven’t done ? Instead I opted to finish a couple of games not on this list which I probably could have swapped. Games like Wreckfest and Control. I also finally managed to finish Injustice 2 to 100% and I’m ready for the challenge that is Injustice (1) for 2021. I hope everyone has met their trophy goals and milestones so far, and let’s continue this challenge into next year and finish those last games on our lists!

Happy New Year all! End of the month again so I am doing my more elaborate updates on the games I've played this month and there has been a few this month, partly because I might or might not have been on vacation. Although it has slowed down this last couple days because I moved from one apartment to another because I moved in with my girlfriend of two years.

Assasins Creed Valhalla: Hoo boy. This game made me rage abit. Like I tweeted Ubisoft to fix things (last time I tweeted anything was May of 2018). The trophy to catch one of each type of fish was only stopping me from platting the game and all I needed was a bream to get it. Think I spent almost a week searching for one. Had fish that were bugged (literally flying fish, I made a quick capture of it and put it up on YouTube to prove it to a friend because he didn't believe me) and catching everything but bream until I got one. So between that and collecting all of the treasures in that game (they patched the game and a treasure was on a dead body in Vinland) caused some grief but I'm done with that game. Will I play the PS5 version of it? Maybe. Not right away but maybe.

 

Cyberpunk 2077: Overhyped? Yes. Am I still playing it? Yes. Am I enjoying it? I guess yes. Will I ever play it again? Only if I make a major mistake which I haven't yet. So far I've only done two of the three major story missions and currently trying to finish the gigs and such in the various areas. Got most of the other various trophies done (sniping two people at once, shooting a grenade mid-air etc) and collected some of the vehicles that are needed as well. Got lots to go on this game still though.

 

Ghost of Tsushima: As I mentioned on my updates until recently, I was waiting until I hit a major milestone before I plat this game; all I had to do was play the one song in front of a certain person's grave to plat it. I will admit there have been a few games I didn't have on my list to do, mainly cheap games that were quick to plat, so I could get to 250 plats quicker. Seriously thinking of playing the DLC later on - seen some gameplay and liking what they. But I liked this game; overall surprisingly well done and enjoyable. 

 

Lego Batman 3 (Vita): Finally finished and platted. Was working on my second playthrough on this game while watching TV or the few times I wasn't playing the PS4. I initially was going to push through the main game then go back and get all the collectables but then changed my mind and went for as many as I could as I went along. I kept from gathering all of the character tokens in the two main areas at all just so I could make things easier later.  There are two trophies that pop once you gather everything from the Watchtower and the Batcave, which I had already done so there was no way to keep a track on what I had to do. Ended missing two characters so rechecked everything and found them. 

 

Neptunia RPG: I played this in between platting Assassin's Creed Valhalla and the release of Cyberpunk 2077 and haven't done much yet. It has a different feel than other games I've played recently and once I get seriously involved into it. Definitely different from the other Neptunia games I've played. 

 

Shenmue 3: Started playing this as a side game while playing Neptunia RPG.  Getting into it and found out that the plat involves QTEs that I am having issues with. I am hoping to get back to this game after Cyberpunk and work on it or Neptunia RPG. 

 

Spyro 3: I didn't realize how close I was to platting this game when I switched to Assassin's Creed Valhalla. If I was paying attention I would have just finished and platted the game.  Much easier than the other two, the Sorceress being the hardest fight before reading up on how to fight her. Then just cleaning up the rest of the trophies after that. 

 

Mixups: Finally done this game too. It wasn't the best game out there. Effectively you unscramble three words in six rounds with sort of theme with certain themes connected to a trophy. It's done and glad it's over.

 

Roundouts: So with the above game and this I have played and platted almost all of the Powgi games. Unintentionally I got a good portion of the trophies within the first couple of days playing it and I know it won't take long to plat it. Which meant finding another game to play as well. 

 

Epic Word Search Collection (Vita): Started playing this the last couple days while taking a break between packing moving and unpacking. Haven't had the time to really look at it other than it is a search word game which is ok as a filler game. 

 

That is it for December. Quite a few all considering although admittedly a few were only a couple trophies away from platting. Here's to a better year coming up!

Just wanted to say Happy New Year to everyone in this thread, your updates have been huge motivators for me in a really crappy 12 months and it's been really nice to have something fun to read in all the madness. Here's to great games and a hopefully more manageable 2021 ?
