Popular Post Static_Rook
Final Update 26 - 2/28/2021 No progress. I didn't finish off the 2 games I wanted to. Got busy with some life stuff, and then my gaming time went to Persona 5 Strikers. Not the ending I wanted to the challenge, but I'm still happy with 14 out of 20 games done. I had to cut back my Spring list too since I'll be busier than I thought the next couple of months. Anyway, congrats to everyone who completed their lists or came close, and to everyone who took part. See you in the next challenge! Popular Post Draps-1337
My final standing. I ended up using the weekend to chill out and recover from a hangover while playing Glass Masquerade 1 & 2. Missing out on the 100% for 5 of my games is a little painful. But I'm also fully aware that I obtained another 10-15 platinums that weren't on this list. While I haven't carried any of the unfinished games here over to the next challenge. I'm still playing DMC3 on and off. After investigation Dollhouse looks terrifying to 100% (even currently impossible?) so I'm torn on that one. I saw it was currently on sale so maybe the online servers will have some people around. So who knows. Days Gone still doesn't really feel like my cup of tea, but people keep telling me it's a kind of hidden gem that got swept under the rug because of zombies. Congratulations to everyone, even if you didn't finish your list. The effort you put in was not wasted! Popular Post be_minor
Update #11: Welp, I didn’t complete every game on my list, but I did 100% a few games I've wanted to play for years. Since my last update, I completed Cat Quest, which I loved and am excited to play the sequel when I can. It was a simple plat and pawsitively purrfect for me. I also started - and subsequently got bored of - Watch Dogs: Legion. I wish I’d done more research before I bought it. I’m adding it to my Spring backlog list, but it’s one I’ll need to slog through to complete. I’m so thankful to have participated in this backlog challenge. Lessons learned? Don’t overestimate what I can complete in the given timeframe, and don’t add shiny, new games until I’ve completed most of the original list. I also need to allot time for distractions (i.e. other games, real life). All in all, I completed nine games for the challenge and made progress in a few more. Thanks for hosting the challenge @MidnightDragon, and to every participant that inspired me to challenge myself! Red = Haven’t startedGreen = Some progressBlue = Completed 100% 1. Popular Post Xenoblast91
LAST UPDATE: I want to congratulate everyone who managed to complete their challenge list! If you noticed, I didn't post mid-month this time as I wanted to save it for this time around. However, as life is, it has many turnarounds, and sometimes you can't stick to something no matter how hard you push to it, or not. I don't know, can't speak for everyone. But what I can confidently say is that I gave my best in this challenge and I quit few games out of the way, which is the true satisfaction behind these challenges! Can't tell much what has happened around, but I'm close to finish Control, which honestly is vastly different from what I was expecting. Just few notes about my experience so far: my biggest observations has to be towards the map system. Truly the development team could have figure out a good mapping as we can see with Doom 16, for example, where the layers of floors or levels can be clearly seen without any disturbance from the flow on gameplay. As sometimes is confusing and misleading. Pretty much goes against natural intuitiveness, more for a diversion where you're free to some degree to do stuff. I like open-ended worlds, as they are different as sandbox worlds; the difference relies more on interconnection between zones rather than a bunch world to explore freely, as you need a certain power-up in order to advance. Also, I want to mention @Optinooby for his amazing and wonderful job designing the walkthrough for the platinum as I've been following it religiously for few sections where I felt completely lost. Certainly, not a game for everybody, but the devs, again, had should work in a better way to optimize the way one as a player can approach it. Secondly, few missions are poorly instructed as are some cryptic at times and the story doesn't have much logical cohesion, at least as first glance; I'll watch a YouTube explanation about the plot and what's behind all of it. Also, I as many others, this title being a PS+ game was a huge relief as I was tempted to purchase it anyway. Glad I dodged that bullet at this time. For the other games, I wrote a lengthy, almost complaining letter about why I was giving up in this challenge a little before January came to an end. Still have it on a Word file, LOL. But the point is, that I want to take my time. Don't like to play when don't feel it's the moment to. I basically wait for the planets' alignment to start playing and then picking up a new one from which can feel comfortable and joyful to play to its ultimate consequences. GTA Online became a huge relief from stress, but sometimes is the source of it; found a wonderful crew which helped me to attain much of the trophies that I have right now, but since I fall in love with this title, I'm waiting to make it my 30th Platinum overall with its 100% back to back. Will take me a while, for sure, but again, I like to take my time. Don't see the need to hurry or rush it anyway. We hit Valentine's Day, and the only proper game to suit the date was Doom 64. I was always wondering how this title was, since N64 era is a very fond yet blurry time that I just can recall that I played mostly platforming games. But was also the dawn of the whole FPS genre. With the rise of GoldenEye 64 (which I bet some of you can remember clearly), the control scheme for that console was mostly a risk and a revolution than the norm today we experience. I mean, how could anyone, without doing it before, put a joystick in a controller? Think about it. And Nintendo risk it, but ultimately was Sony who -please forgive my following sacrilege- steal the idea from the SNES' and simply put 2 sticks on the lower part of it. Boom! There you go. So playing this title was pretty fitting for the date, the purpose and the hunt. The game is pretty fun, as it aged really well imo as the mechanics follow the modern shooters standard anyway. For trophies' sake, yeah, is super short; but for fun, oh man... You're surely going to find more than that! I liked this choice, despite afterwards and honestly while there's evidently any logical connection in between, my situation got kind of jinxed. So well, every time I touch a Doom title I ended up cursed or something; still have to play Eternal, but I hope to have a more stable situation to prevent any disgrace in the proximity. And for FFVII... Well, we got such huge new about it! I'm super glad to hear about the PS+ lineup this month, so basically I have another reason to play it. Really wanted to start at February, but the things didn't work, so I hope to jump into it soon. Seems like Sony is becoming tender and condescending to us (for our benefit at least!) and finally enjoy AAA titles with relatively recent releases. Something didn't happen in a while, if ever. I'm super excited. Hope to finish this games too, so I can grab more trophies and enjoy my adventures with mindfulness and joy. So, here are my results to the end of February. It was a pleasure to play along with you guys through all these months, and I hope our adventures will reunite us once again! Sincerely, I hope everybody here can play beautiful, amazing, deep and meaningful games all along, and with this I retire from this kind of challenges. I want to refocus my priorities in real life and consider what I play and when. Wish you the best my fellow hunters, be joyful and stay safe! ? Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered – 100% Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor - GOTY Edition – 100% Psychonauts – 100% Cuphead – 100% Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades – 100% Doom 64 - 100% Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – 83% Control - 71% GTA V – 48% Final Fantasy VII [OG] – 0% EDIT: Added more info about my overall experience in the last part. Popular Post DFuzed
First, thanks to @MidnightDragon for hosting this. This is the first time I've been a part if a challenge. I enjoyed trying it and have signed up for the next challenge. Some of the games were on my list to do eventually while others were games I had started but never finished or were such slow burners that it just took time to finish. Now its time to summarize what I played this last month and what will be my last update for this challenge: Epic Word Search (Vita and PS4) - I finished the Vita version and started working on the PS4 edition. While I didn't finish this game I will be making this one of games on the next challenge. I play this as a backup game; I try for a minimum of two trophies everyday and sometimes I don't have time to get them done on my primary games so I play these to get those said trophies. Super Neptunia RPG - One of the few Disc-based games I had left to play at this moment. I started it on this prior to Cyberpunk and came back to it this month to finish. I originally planned to go back to this game after but got distracted by other games. But I finished it this month. Enjoyed the rather unique battle system and Blanc was OP (has Auto-Regen when leading, with individual Auto-Regen skills and other skills it was really hard for enemies to kill my party). Nothing was a drag other than getting the one trophy for getting a character too level 100 but even that wasn't a hard grind with the XP Bonus skill and killing Metal Dogoos repeatedly. LA Noire - This, like Neptunia RPG, are only a few of the games I hard a physical copy of, although I found it at a pawn shop for five bucks instead of paying a full price for. It's also the only one that I played the DLC for because it couldn't be skipped, although the optional trophies were. I decided that I might as well do the optional trophies while I had the option to and 100% the game. Only trophy I had to really look into was collecting all the cars. Had two that gave me issues. One was found by redoing a chase sequence and jumping into a rare car that was a guarantee to appear, the other I replayed a story mission, found the car and it was locked. The only locked car I've seen in this game. Luckily there was another across the street. Pantsu Hunter - I had this a game to complete because, at the time, I was living alone and thought I could play it when alone. At the beginning of this challenge I was dating my girlfriend although she wasn't living with me. Then a couple things happened. First I played One Night Stand and hated the content but not the game system itself. I had the same feeling with this game. Secondly my girlfriend moved in and, although she is a gamer and enjoyed playing odd games like this, she didn't like me playing this. So the few trophies I have are from me sneaking them in as I can. I'll add this to the next challenge and see if I can finish it on the side. As a side note: Will - I have tried to plat this again but unsuccessful. I was originally going to add this to the next challenge but I've given up. Likely I'll give this another shot when I have a couple digital games lined up and easy trophies to cover my attempt at this again. And...that's it. Thanks for the experience and see some of you in the next challenge.

Popular Post CelestialShards
Final Update: Hello everyone. Before I begin my final update, I want to thank @MidnightDragon for hostnig this backlog challenge. It was interesting experince to do since I never did something like this before. It also gave me some good and bad experience on some of the game series I never really tried before and almost gave me a chance to play them. Now for my final report out of the games I had, I only completed about 10 of them and had to use 3/5 swapps. Not a bad start but wished that I had done better. I think that this month was bad becuase of my burn out. but what can you do about that. Wasn't able to finish coffee talk but will finish soon enough. This was a great experience to do and can't wait for the next one . If there is one thing that I learned by doing this, is to pace myself. Seeing everyone with doing there best in cleaning their backlogs and reading their journey's was encouraging. Thanks @MidnightDragon for the experience Until next time everyone. I have still have to do my spring cleaning on my games.

Popular Post freddie1989
The final update! Not much to add, moved Wildlands a touch but it's not very giving as you play through the story missions and to be honest I have mainly focused on enjoying it as it took me a while to get into it. Should start to give trophies soon though lol. As always a big shout to @MidnightDragon for keeping this going and look forward to the next one.
