Decided I’m gonna mix up the list of my rpgs with some shorter and simpler games in the lineup to give me some breathers in between the long campaigns So I don’t get burned out. Gonna start with just this for now and see how it goes, I plan to add more as the event goes on but I wanted to pace myself this time around to manage my time better.

It's well into the 1st here in Australia, But I've got a bunch of work deadlines this week so it's going to be a rocky start to the challenge! Up first I'll probably be playing Shenmue 1 and taking breaks to keep working on Rocket Arena platinum (the grind is huge...)

Sorry I'm not Midnight but I've been doing these for almost 10 months now (time flies so fast good lord) so I feel I can at least attest to some knowledge of your question.

 

I've seen updates done several ways: Some choose to only give a game-by-game update, some update their original post only, some copy their whole list and do a "progress over time" report. Some choose to give descriptions of their games as they go along. Some use fancy table, colors, etc. Some quote themselves to keep a "running" update going. Really it's whatever you feel works best for you. Can be as short as you want an update to be or as long as you want it to be. Also you don't have to necessarily update your OP at all, though that's where the link in the participation list will send you (your "original" declaration of your games) so it can be nice to update it once in awhile if you make game changes/swaps/etc. 

 

Though I for one am always of the mindset of seeing reply based updates. Mainly because I have notifications set up and I'm following this, so when you lovely people post, I get a nice notification to go and check your updates! ?

Update 1:

 

First game done, something short and easy. I really like the art style for Brothers, the glimpses of their world left me wanting to know more, lovely sceneries that seem to exist beyond the little interactions the player gets to have with them. I enjoyed it.

 

I've added another small game that I plan to play for another event in the next few days.

Well, technically I earned some Hajimari trophies before this started, but I didn't feel like recalculating the total number of trophies I'd need to earn to finish up my listed games.  I just really wanted to go ahead and update though because damn, this game is a lot of fun.  It plays like other Cold Steel games, but a few new features have been added.  For example, assault points have a use besides getting triple advantage encounters.  When using arts it actually displays which ones the enemies are weak to.  The story also takes place across multiple routes and what you do in one route can affect others.  As you progress through the story, you also gain access to an area where all the extra content is.  In this game unlike all the previous entries, most of your missables are actually obtained via this area and not actually missable, though it is a bit RNG heavy on what you get.  Still, I like the changes a lot and the story has been really fun.  And one spoilery thing I have to say:

And that is all.  Loving this game and I'm sure I'll have the plat by the end of the month since I'm actually getting close to finishing my first playthrough.  Also am making an effort to try and play something on PS3 every day since I have 3 incomplete games on there that I want to finish by the end of the year.  Decided to go back to chipping away at Sengoku Basara since I only stopped playing it in fear that I'd get above 30% and wouldn't be able to use it for this.
