Trophies and Cross Progression question.

Hi there, so I’ve never played Smite. But some of my friends are interested in trying it, but they’re not trophy hunters. I intend to try the game on an alt account as I don’t want to pop 1 or 2 trophies then stop playing. However with cross progression could I sort of break the system (so to speak) if we play it long term.

 

My thought process, maybe someone can confirm if this will work:

 

Link PS Alt Account and a Steam account.

Unlink PS Alt account and leave Steam linked.

Relink PRIMARY PS account and have trophy progression pop.

 

Has anyone tried this / is this possible? Or once you link an account that’s it, it can’t be changed?

Nope that's not possible.

You can't transfer your progress from one PS account to another PS account.

 

I don't even know if you can carry over your progress to any account any more. That was like 4 years ago.

Gotcha, thanks for the answer. I’ll just have to try the game out on an alt account and if I’m liking it then commit to it on my main.

Cross Progression is only available on Xbox, PC and Switch
