Welcome PSNP! Welcome back to the Member Interviews, after several delays, we return with an interview from @Honor_Hand! I'm your host Dreggit, and without further adieu, let's get this interview underway.

Stock Questions

 

How did you come up with your PSN name?

This is a tough one because I don't have a clear recollection as to how I came up with my username. From what I remember, my friends and I used to play Warcraft III a lot during high school and, at some point while we played the game, I decided to change from my previously-established username to a new one. I vividly remember using the name Balnazzar (because I thought it sounded cool), but then I switched to Honor Hand. I may have been inspired by one of the titles or the names of some of the Paladins that appeared in the game and then thought, "Hey, Honor Hand sounds way cooler." Ever since that, this username has been stuck with me everywhere I go. 

I tried to do some fact-checking with the Warcraft wiki, but I couldn't find any concrete evidence of that so you are going to have to take my word for it.

 

Another funny theory I have is related to the Magic: The Gathering TCG game. I also used to play this one with my friends a lot and I had a tribal samurai-themed deck back in the day that was unstoppable. It was based on the Champions of Kamigawa expansion that was introduced back in the day but souped-up immensely with some extra cards. Long story short, I always wanted this Hand of Honor creature for my deck because it would have helped my early game so much at the time. Turns out, I never got it through any booster nor anyone else I knew had it. At some point, I might have thought of corrupting this card's name and then adapt it to my online username because, hey, it just sounded so cool in my teenage mind.

 

Anyways, those are the two theories I have for my username and the ones I always tell. I personally think the Warcraft III is the more accurate, even though I don't have any good proof of a character with that name in the game. 

 

What games convinced you get your PlayStation 3, Playstation Vita, and PlayStation 4?

Hmm, truth be told, I was a happy Nintendo gamer at the time and I was never that much interested in switching to Sony to begin with. However, if there is one game that convinced me to switch sides, that would be Resident Evil 5 on PS3. So, hear me out, I only dabbled on the first two titles a little on friend's PS1 and only played Code Veronica on my Dreamcast years later,  BUT, there was this girl at my university that I had an eye on that was also a gamer, and the game she would always rave on about was RE4 on PS2. She knows that game like the back of her hand since she has gone onto multiple playthroughs of it and can remember where all treasures and enemies are located without the use of a guide. I actually got RE4 on the Wii and she clearly demonstrated that to me, while at the same time mocking how much I sucked at the game when I first played it, lol.

 

Perhaps not the most fondly remembered RE out there, but it was a great co-op experience for me regardless

 

Anyways, in an effort of trying to impress this girl, I decided to get a PS3, and one of the first games I got on it was RE5. I also wanted to check on HD gaming as well and since the PS3 had already gotten some traction after its disastrous launch, 2011 was more than the perfect year to jump into Sony's platform. Eventually got an HDTV around the same time as well, so, why not impress the girl you like so much with a flaming new HDTV, a new HD console, and the sequel to the game she loves the most, right? I'm an idiot, I know. Don't say it. But hey, it worked. It worked so well that I've been living alongside this girl for the past 8-9 years. So, yeah, a very important first Platinum for me.

 

Have you ever been tempted to switch over to the Xbox/Nintendo/PC gaming ecosystems?

Yes, why not? I started gaming on a PC, and then switched to Nintendo while still giving SEGA some love way past their prime. Point is, I'm not 100% loyal to any particular brand. At the moment, I play mostly on Sony consoles out of convenience and because I have already build a profile here, but nothing really stops me from playing under other ecosystems. In fact, I'd love to own some of the current consoles from other manufacturers as well in order to have a bigger repertoire of games to choose from. I'd mostly get the originals titles on them, but yeah, the best thing would be to play and get the best from all worlds. I don't see the point in narrowing my selection to just one system, one brand.

 

What are your top 5 game series and why?

Ufff, it's going to be so hard to narrow this just to five that I feel it wouldn't be fair to do such a thing. There are just too many great franchises out there and narrowing them down to just 5 would require a monumental effort.

 

 

What are your top 5 games and why?

Yeah, no. Same as above. Better leave this one as a mystery. I'd probably have to sit down and meditate for weeks to achieve that absolute top-5 games list.  

 

Which unreleased game(s) are you looking forward to the most and why?

Easy. Darkstalkers 4 because I want to see a newer 3D model of Felicia there. Besides that, everyone loves Darkstalkers. Capcom, in particular, has a plethora of old fighting game franchises that could use some revival. They know how to make these games, so I know they would (most likely) give justice to the series. I know a few of their most obscure fighting game series would be hard to revive, but come on, besides Street Fighter and the Vs. series of games, Darkstalkers has a reasonable level of popularity too. It already had a number of sequels made into the franchise as well, and the game itself was a pioneer of fighting games at the time, plus the cast of characters is just super unique. Who doesn't want to see monsters beating the shit out of each other? It was teased a few years back, remember? "Darkstalkers are not dead." Never forget. Capcom, made it already.

Do you have any other hobbies outside of gaming?

Work. xP Nah, just kidding. I do have some hobbies but I never stick with them that much that I would call them hobbies myself. I also have a habit of having "fledgling hobbies" from time to time. Like, I get super inspired in this topic for weeks, and then I completely forget about it the next day. Anyways, the other side stuff I do is anime. Perhaps not as a frequent, devoted watcher as some of the other guys here, but I really enjoy watching anime series from time to time. I'm very open to genres but I tend to like isekai, slice of life, comedy, ecchi, drama, mahou shoujo series a lot. In general, almost any good anime I can sit and have a good time with it. Manga-reading is something that I've been trying to do as of lately but I haven't quite taken off in that aspect.

 

Figure-collecting is something I also enjoy. Most of the time, it's not mandatory for me to know about the franchise or property it is based on, but as long as I find it aesthetically pleasing and "to my liking", you know, I can get behind it. To some degree, I want to get into figure photography too as I find it oddly therapeutic and entertaining.

 

Reading. That used to be a very good hobby of mine that's been long dormant due to lack of time. I used to be a very avid reader and would get my paws on a variety of books. From philosophical matters to economics, politics, or more metaphysical shit, even novels or just plain entertaining and informative books. I used to read a lot. That's pretty dormant nowadays, though. 

 

I also like to collect random crap. =o Not sure if we could call that a hobby, but I greatly enjoy getting my hands on some retro games, or some old issues of a comic book or other old toys I enjoyed from my childhood. As a rule, anything geek or weeb enough is worthy enough to join the collection. I don't really have that much stuff, owning to the place I live, but hey, if it's interesting, then I'll be all over it.

 

Top 5 TV shows, Movies, and/or anime, why, and would you recommend them to people?

TV shows, yeah, I haven't watched an actual TV show in the last, what? 6-8 years, maybe? I don't even have cable TV at home! Movies, I watch like 1 a month if I'm interested, but I really don't feel I have enough experience here to recommend anything.

 

In anime, yes, I can recommend my favorite 5:

 

• Clannad
• Angel Beats!
• Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection
• Death Note
• One-Punch Man

 

An extra set of series I'd also recommend are: K-On!, Little Busters!, Made in Abyss, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, No Game No Life, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star, and Sword Art Online (yes!). That should do it.

 

Why do I recommend them? Well, I'm pretty sure they have been on other people's recommendations as well but they simply are a good time to watch. Some of them are mainstream series or "gateway" anime series if you prefer, but I've also found them equally entertaining and top-quality for anyone to watch.

 

Top 5 favorite music bands/group/artists/composers/ost?

Eh, not much of a music listener myself as to talk about any specific group or artist.

 

Your favorite platinum and why?

Gran Turismo 5. I got into the GT series for the first time at this point. I had never tried any of the games in the series prior to this one and what I played here had me legit entertained for hours. I'm aware that it is one of the most polarizing entries into the franchise for some, but for me, a newbie, it was like a car enthusiast's haven. There's so much information, so many disciplines, so many tracks, SO MANY VEHICLES to choose from that I felt floored by the game itself. It really felt like something completely special to me. The Platinum itself is a mighty achievement in and out of itself, not only requiring monstrous amounts of grinding but also being notoriously difficult to achieve. And I'm not talking about the Vettel races, most of the special events and license tests have ridiculous time requirements that are near-impossible to pull off.

 

I was super proud of this bad boy when I finally made it pop back then after finishing the 24-hour Nurburgring race again.

 

To add to the drama of this Platinum, I had to pretty much complete the game twice because my HDD got corrupted at a point where I was only missing to gold two out three of the Vettel races, essentially forcing me to do all over again (including the endurance races ;-;). To say that I spent more than a thousand hours playing GT5 would be an understatement. And surprisingly, I did most of it legit enjoying my time with the game. It was just fun to drive the many different vehicles on all those different locales. I confess to having glitched my way out of those 2 Vettel races I could never beat in the end, but damn, I did everything else fair and square... twice, lol.

 

Your least favorite platinum and why?

Anarchy: Rush Hour is by far the worst game I've played so far under my profile. That may change soon with another two titles I've yet to clear on PS3, but this one... Man, it was so bad. It's hard to think of a more broken racing game than this one (I think only Big Rigs: OTRR is above it ). I don't know what the developers were even thinking when they came up with this broken piece of garbage. Like, I've played bad racing games before but the gameplay and physics in this one just suck. Everything reacts inconsistently and sometimes the cars appear to lack any sort of friction with the roads or walls, or anything in the game. Bad game, don't play it. The Platinum wasn't hard or grindy either, even though it had a couple of online trophies, but really, the game is just horrible in every single way.

 

If you could have one game from any gaming generation be remade or re-released, which one would it be and why?

This is a tough proposition because I have a ton of games from my childhood that I'd love to see remade. Over the years, a reasonable number of them have seen a resurgence of sorts, especially with all the craze of remasters, remakes, and HD versions going on, so I'm sure many of the games I loved as a child or teenager will eventually get this treatment. So, to answer this question, any of them would do, really. I don't think I could single one in particular.

Or so I thought...

 

After pondering about it for a good long while, it turns out there is a game I'd love to see remade with brand new technology. It's a little game I played on the PC years ago that is called Interstate '76. Man, this title blew my mind so much when I was a kid. It's basically a vehicular combat game with lots of customization, great funk music from the era, and not as arcadey as Twisted Metal or Vigilante 8 series (which the latter is a spin-off coming from this other series btw). Back then, most of the games I had on my PC where either shareware or downright pirated. I'm not ashamed to admit it, since piracy has always being a big part of my gaming memories, at least on PC. Anyways, my dad (still cosplaying as Santa at that time) gifted me this game and another one called Armor Command on Christmas of 1997, and it was sweet, I loved it so much. Not only they were one of the first original games I ever owned myself, but the fact that it was vehicular combat done right with all the different weapons you could equip your vehicle and that the characters were just plain entertaining to watch made it a memorable experience for me. Sure it looks barren to a newer audience but a game like this with modern technology would be awesome. Just imagine a hybrid any sim-based driving game with levels of customization similar to that of a mech game, and make all cars muscle cars from the 70s, add some groovy music and I'm sold. I'd love to see this one title remade.

How far are you willing to go for a platinum?

For ModNation Racers, I created a bunch of alternate accounts in order to boost the social and community trophies in the game. I figured I couldn't be arsed into bothering other people for this and, well, I'd rather do all the effort myself if possible. After reading that such a thing was possible, I created a bunch of HH dummies and then proceed to rate myself up over a number of days in the game. I want to add that my Internet connection is super slow, so doing the whole thing, logging with each account, launching the game, entering the online, rating my content, backing out, then re-uploading my content again, and repeating the whole process for a bunch of random stuff I did took me more than a couple of days. Perhaps the most boring thing that I've ever done in any game, period.

 

For fighting games, you know, I really don't understand a single thing about the technicalities people talk online. I-frames, buffering, zoning, blah, blah, blah, it all sounds like an alien language to me. I'm not good at fighting games, yet I have a couple of rare fighting games under my profile that I've gotten through determination, sheer luck, and lots of cheese.

 

And there's Gran Turismo 5 there too, which I think speaks for itself.

 

What feature (besides backwards compatibility) do you think the next console generation should have?

Actually, I'm not really expecting any particular feature from the console. All I want is Sony to release a competent product at a reasonable price that the consumers will be happy with. You see, Sony has been dominating this generation far too easily, and I know from experience that when you lack competition, you then sleep on innovation, become complacent, and then you want to stick it to the customers based on brand alone. Sony learned this the hard way when the PS3 launched and was a complete fiasco. Only when they were pushed against a wall, they were able to innovate, to become competitive, and to offer the best to their customers to help the PS3 soar the way it did towards the end of its generation.

 

So that's what I want from the next console generation, for Sony to become competitive instead of complacent. I want to see them fight a hard battle against their competitors, so that we, the consumers, end up being rewarded in the end. That's all I want, really.

 

What is your favorite thing about PSNP?

There are many things I like about PSNP but the one thing that keeps me coming back is engaging with the community and knowing what gamers in other corners of the world are doing. Now, not all communities out there are approachable or friendly. Far from that, actually most of what I find in social media is super toxic and not worth most of the time participating, at least in my opinion. That's not the case with the people here at PSNP. I personally find most of the members on this site respectful, mature, and very much worth engaging with. They post interesting stuff and, most importantly, they're just friendly people. Granted, not all of them are this way, but the vast majority of good users are what keep me coming back.

 

What is your least favorite thing about PSNP?

Hmm. If there's one thing I found a bit troublesome at times is that the site can be a bit glitchy. With this, I mean stuff like the spoiler tag suddenly not working on some threads, or the forum just adding a whole lot of blank space whenever I post something using the Quote or Spoiler tags. This one last one appears to be an issue with a grammar app I often use to write here, but it doesn't happen all the time. Also, with guide-editing, I've been having numerous random errors too when trying to update my work on a guide, among a few other things. But really, is just that, I wish the site worked a bit more stable, on my end at least.

 

Is there anyone in the PSNP Community you would like to give a shout out too and if so why?

I rather not single anyone in particular. I have many good friends here and they're all great in their own way. What I can do instead is give a shout out to the whole community instead, @PSNProfiles. You guys and gals all rock, thanks for making this wonderful community!

Community Questions

 

How hopeful were you when you saw that the interview project was given the greenlight again?

Honestly, I don't even know myself when it stopped. I remember reading a couple of interviews in the past before and found them interesting. At that same time, I thought to myself, "Hey, it'd be cool to participate here as well." I did notice interviews kinda disappeared for a short while, but after noticing the project was being resumed once again, I decided to throw my name into the hat once again in hopes of getting randomly picked at some point. And then, here we are. x3

 

How is a raven like a writing desk?

This is the first question that had me stumped for a while. First thought was, "Well, they obviously aren't similar in any way, shape or form." But then, I decided to ask my friend Google for advice and realized that it was actually a reference from Alice in Wonderland. I haven't read the novel and I may or may not have seen the movie at some point when I was like what? 5-8 years old? I really have no recollection of it. I found some crazy theories and explanations online for this riddle, but I won't be boring you with them. Since you want my take on it, I'd say that it's not supposed to have an actual answer since the Mad Hatter himself doesn't appear to know the answer either. Logical reasoning would probably tell you as much too.

 

I noticed there was an updated version of it with an actual answer proposed by the writer, but it honestly sounds like BS to me. But then again, who am I to judge a famous writer, right? x3 Probably I wasn't supposed to overthink this one that much but hey... Do you know how it could be similar? If an actual wooden desk was shaped in the form of a raven. Like, it'd be very impractical to use, but I can see it happening as a product if someone sets their mind to it.

 

If Clay Fighter got a new installment on PS5, but it was made with stop motion toys (Robot Chicken), what would its name be?

That's one game series I've heard of but never played myself. As for putting names on things, damn, I'm pretty bad at that... I'd probably name it like Clay Fighter: Revenge of the Toys or something like that. Although, we'd probably need to drop the "Clay" part from the title, wouldn't we? So, maybe Toy Fighter then would be a better option. Way too generic, I think. I just suck at naming stuff up, sorry. >.<

 

What "collectible" items are people always bringing you as gifts, but you don't actually enjoy having them?

It's not as if I actually get that many gifts to begin with, honestly. xP I probably won't be able to give a clear answer for this one because, on the very few occasions that I've been gifted with something, it's always being something that I've liked or needed. It's been like this for the past 15 years at least, and I'm very grateful for that. However, I DO remember that when I was a young kid, I wasn't particularly fond when my family gave me clothes as a gift. Again, there weren't that many instances of this, but clothing as a kid is what probably got me like, "Meh, it's okay."

 

Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip?

What's Miracle Whip? I read is some sort of cheaper alternative to mayonnaise? Can't say I've ever seen that product here. I like mayonnaise but damn it is expensive here, so I guess Miracle Whip would pretty much do the same thing for my tight pocket.

 

How do you feel about putting pineapple on pizza?

Nah, but really, I haven't really tried it out myself as to have an honest opinion about it. At first, it sounds...kind of weird? I'd be willing to try it out at some point, though.

 

What would be the worst “buy one and get another one for free” sale of all time?

Probably some terminal illness or a cyanide pill. I think probably more the second one, I mean... I guess you could have the second one as a backup of sorts, but I don't think there's much of a way back after using the first one, making it essentially pointless. Why am I even thinking about this?

On a brighter note, when I bought my first dakimakura I actually got a second one for free, so that's actually twice the shame and disgrace for the price of one, lmao.

If you could create your very own video game. What genre of video game would it be? RPG? JRPG? Action/Adventure? Racing? Puzzle? First Person Shooter? Third Person Shooter? Sports? Anime-related? Fighting? Visual Novel?

I think I'd probably go for a mixture between a racing and an anime-related game. There's a variety of genres I like, but something that hasn't been done to death and that brings a breath of fresh air from those two I like would probably be the best. An alternative option would probably be an action/adventure or third-person shooter starring a team of catgirls since I love those as well. I mean both the genres and the catgirls btw. x3

What studio or developer would you want to create your video game (Rockstar, EA, Activision, 2K, Ubisoft, Square Enix, Gust, Idea Factory, Bandai Namco, Kojima Productions, Konami, Insomniac, Naughty Dog, Vicarious Visions, Toys for Bob, Nintendo, Playstation Studios, Microsoft Studios, etc)?

Probably someone between Capcom, Bandai Namco, or Nintendo would probably help me achieve the vision I have more than the others. Although, anyone is welcome as long as we share the same goals and they aren't too pushy on what they want.

 

What would your game be about? What kind of world would it have? What kind of features and in-game systems would it have?

For the racing game, I was thinking something along the lines of good open-world racing game in where you get to drive around a city and tackle different race types, similar to Need for Speed Underground 2. Personally, I wouldn't try to shove any heavy story into it since racing games that have tried to do this in the past end being up being kind of forced, so, a simple premise of a driver that wants to assemble his own crew and take down the other rival drivers and crews around the city would suffice. Maybe a cool intro would help spice things up, but after that, there's no need to develop on the character's relationships or personalities. As for the world itself, an urban setting with nearby mountain and coastal roads would do great. Most of the races would play during nighttime or early morning. Gameplay should lean more towards the arcadey side of things, with a heavy emphasis on drifting, drafting, using nitrous at the right time, and so on. One thing I would like to see handled better is probably a crew system. Similar to what was seen on games like Juiced or Need for Speed Carbon but with a better, more competent involvement of your AI partners. Basically, try to think of all the best features of the previous games cited above and then mixed them and match them together into something new.

 

For the "catgirl game", whoa, I have a nice idea for that one. I cannot really comment much on story bits because I'm terrible at that. I'd probably leave that to the writers. Anyways, I'd like to make a game about a squad of 3-5 to catgirls that travel the galaxy as bounty hunters. The game could action/adventure title, but it could also be a combination of a platformer with a third-person shooter. Here the emphasis should be on the characters, their personalities, their quirks, and their unique abilities to overcome different challenges. Say, one character should have this ability or should be able to access this one place the rest of the cast cannot get to. In that same vein, each character should have its own unique fighting style or be proficient with a certain type of weapon. The level design should be another top priority, as I'd like to lead the player into unknown worlds, each of them with different characteristics and missions that need to be completed on each of them in order to progress the story. For references, think something like Jet Force Gemini meets Donkey Kong 64, meets Ratchet & Clank, all of this under the tutelage of artists, animators, and writers that can make compelling, handsome characters come to life.

Does anybody remember this game on the N64? Anybody? I mean, you had a dog that turned into a hover tank of death that rained all manners of destruction and pain above your enemies. It was freakin' awesome!

 

Would it be a 2D or 3D game? What kind of visuals would you go for (photo-realistic graphics, cell-shaded, anime-style, cartoon-style, etc) in it?

Both games would be 3D. For the racing game, going cel-shaded would be a bold (maybe suicidal) move, but I'd love to see a racing game in that style. Think of auto Modellista, a long-forgotten racing game made by Capcom in the early 2000s. Colors shouldn't be as saturated, though, since we're looking to achieve an underground racing scene. Maybe something along the lines of the early Tokyo Extreme Racer games would fit nicely too, but the cel-shaded is a must. For the second "catgirl game", either an anime or cartoon style would work great. Unlike the first one, here the emphasis should be on more saturated colors, lush environments, and in general, just places and characters you would like to know more about. It'd be hard for me to reference any game in this aspect since I haven't really played something along those lines in recent times, but more or less you get the idea.

 

What's your favourite (J)RPG series?

Love the genre but I haven't played that many games, so, I'm probably going to come off a bit ignorant. xP Anyhow, from those few I've played, the Tales of series by Bandai Namco has been one that I've consistently enjoyed the most for its combat system and interesting characters. I know the overall completion of those games under my profile says otherwise, but I do really love those titles. ^^

 

Otherwise, Pokemon would probably be my second favorite series, even though I haven't played any of the games that came after Gen V.

Yeah, that's how much I'm lagging as far as JRPGs.

 

 

Nanoha or Fate?

I'm team Fate all the way over here.

Nanoha is just as cute, but I personally find myself more attached to Fate's story and personality the most.

 

What made you choose Felicia as the main goddess of worship?

Interesting question right here, and probably one that won't have a very clear answer. So, instead, I'm going to tell you a short story of how she became my favorite character in hopes of providing a sound, reasonable motif of why she is the main goddess of worship. Rolling back to the mid-90s, if there was something little HH enjoyed was visiting the arcades. My dad would often take me after his work hours or during weekends to one of the many arcades around Caracas, or "maquinitas," as they were known locally. At that time, there were still many in the country, and they had a ton of customers on a regular basis. I guess they took a while longer to die here than in other countries. Anyways, back in the arcades I mostly played racing and on-rail shooter games, while I decidedly avoided most fighting game cabinets due to the crowds of rabid high schoolers they would often have playing on them. At one moment, I had the chance to try some of them and there was one game that stood to my memory of all the ones I played. It was a colorful, animated fighter that had monsters as fighters and it was pretty enjoyable to play. Much faster than the Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat cabinets that would draw most of the people for one reason or the other. I may have seen Felicia there for the first time and didn't thought anything about her. After all, I was just an innocent 8-year old that didn't know much about anything.

 

Fast forward a few years later, at some point during the early-to-mid-2000s, I started experimenting with emulators on my computer. My objective was clear, I wanted to replay some of the old arcade games on my PC. The emulator I was using at the time was called Winkawaks. If I remember correctly, it allowed you to run many of Capcom's CPS-I and CPS-II games, as well as some Neo Geo titles. Using my dial-up connection, I downloaded a few fighting games that I was eager to try and relieve. One of them was, of course, Darkstalkers. Specifically, Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge. The game was as fun as I remembered from when I was younger. However, something felt different. And by that I mean, I found the female characters attractive... very attractive actually. Felicia, in particular, stood out in my mind, I don't know why. Maybe because of her unique outfit (or rather, lack thereof...), maybe because she was super fun to use in the game and the one I was the most competent with, or maybe, just maybe, because I was a huge pervert too. So yeah, I guess thanks to puberty, I couldn't help but feel attracted to this half-naked catgirl. Insanity, I know, but she would become my first and only video game crush. One crush that I still hold very dearly to this day. Just seeing that furball jump and kicks ass makes my heart go flutter.

 

So, there you have it. That's my story with Felicia. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed typing it. Obviously, I may have probably left some, eh, "special moments" with her outside of the picture, but you hopefully got the idea of why she is my main goddess of worship.

 

Did you give up on Crypt of the Necrodancer or are you just taking a break?

If you are in a zombie apocalypse with only a shovel, a magic 8 ball, and a Felicia cosplay costume, what kind of ritual would you performance with these 3 items to summon the goddess to save humanity?

You guys weren't kidding on going all out. Let's see, let's see... What the hell, I cannot come up with anything even remotely plausible. xxD Oh, oh, a good idea would be to use the shovel to dig a not-so-deep pit, throw the Felicia cosplay costume inside, fill the hole up again, and then use the shovel to hit the ground at the same time you furiously shake the 8-ball while randomly spewing Felicia quotes from the multiple games she has been in. Problem is, in case that crazy idea somehow works, she's probably going to be unable to breathe down there. No problem, I'm sure she is strong enough to get out of that hole in no time. 

 

Another idea would be to don the Felicia cosplay costume myself and then use the shovel to smash the 8-ball open while humming her Night Warriors' stage theme. Of course, before cracking the 8-ball open you need to have at least asked 1967 Yes or No Felicia-related questions to it. It doesn't matter which answers you get so long as you ask that exact number of questions.

 

As you can see, two different methods to bring the goddess to save humanity. One is faster than the other, but it also bears a higher risk.

 

I tried googling this, but could not find an answer and thought maybe you would know... What is the exact hand-size of the Goddess Felicia (including nails) and does her arms have a longer reach than Mike Tyson? I need this for analytical data.

Actually, I don't know myself either, but it made for an excellent topic of research, and here's what I found. From what we know, Felicia is 168 cm tall. Since there's no actual info online about her actual hand-size online, I took on the task of using some BS mathematics to get that answer for you. I scouted the whole internet looking for an official artwork that featured her standing up straight and with an open paw. Unfortunately, such a thing was impossible to find. The best I could find was this image. So, yeah, that one wasn't going to work. Then, I got an idea. I could probably use a 3D modeling program, make her most recent MVC 3 model do a standing upright pose, and then take measurements. For this task, I used a software called XNALara that I know a lot of people on DevianArt use and then got her model from somewhere online. What I found was the following:

Because I couldn't get the official model of her to work on the program. Like, all other custom models of her I tried online worked, but not the official one. Madness! At this point I gave up because the interview was not gonna be ready on time while I learned how to use the software properly to export things. I really did everything I mentioned above, you know. x3 Anyways, I'm sure her arms have a longer reach than Mike Tyson's. And if not, her tail can help her have a longer reach. Does Mike Tyson have a tail? I don't think so! O_o

How often do you click the compare button on other people's profile, and why?

No kidding, if it wasn't for you mentioning it, I probably would have never noticed that button was there. I don't check other people's profiles that often. On the very few chances I have visited other profiles, what I do is to just look at the games they have played, which Platinums they have, their general stats, and what funny hidden messages they may have on their trophy cabinets. But, to be honest, I don't visit other people's profiles that often. Maybe like once every two months or so.

 

Who is your go-to youtuber for let's plays?

I don't watch let's plays videos. The main reason is that I don't have time to watch them, and the second reason is that I'm not much of a fan of them either. Only very recently I've gotten a liking to watching Vtubers, but then again, what I watch are just small, condensed highlights from their playthroughs. These ones I find them entertaining to watch. Gives me enough time to catch a good impression of what they experienced in the games they played, and hey, cute girls doing cute things. I'm always down for that. In that particular sphere, I like both Inuguami Korone and Nekomata Okayou the most.

What do you do for a living?

I actually got a degree in industrial maintenance engineering... That is completely worthless in this country as it is now. Same with any other profession you might have. So, in order to survive each and every day, what I do is work as an online freelancer in the areas of transcribing, proofreading, translating, subtitling, or just plain old article-writing, either in Spanish or English. I'm registered under a number of online companies, but the one I normally work with is based in the UK. It's hardly a well-paid job. For first-world standards, I think you most likely would die of starvation in a few weeks of trying. For a third-world, utterly-destroyed-and-fucked-up-beyond-belief country like mine, the payment is just okay. No benefits, no contracts, no taxes... At least enough to cover the basics, pay my bills, help my family, buy new games every now and then, and finance my crippling addiction to cute anime girls. It's a fair deal.

 

It's not something that I particularly enjoy, but rather something I was forced to do in order to survive. I've gotten a few nice things out of it. For example, I can now understand a bunch of different accents and pronunciations in both Spanish and English (ahem, some more than others) and I've also gotten to learn a few things along the way too. Since job assignments can vary a lot. For example, one day I can be just transcribing an interview from a focus group that is interested in introducing a new product in the market, next day I get to listen how a policeman tries to get a confession from a criminal accused of rape, next day I have to proofread a transcription from a medical meeting with doctors discussing the effects of the new biomolecules in the market, next day I have to subtitle an old shitty movie, or maybe catch a testimony in court, or interviews with immigrants, interviews with witnesses, interviews with business owners, and so on. It varies a lot.

Lately, everything has been COVID-related, if you want to know.

 

I know this is hardly a stable source of income, so that's why I'd like to start my own business in the next 3 to 5 years.

Hmm. x3 I love junk food, but for better or worse, I haven't been able to get as much as I'd like to over the past few years. Either a hamburger or a pizza goes great for me, any of them, really. Or Chinese food. Man, I love Chinese food. Egg foo young, lumpia, and fried rice in huge amounts. For more homemade dishes, I like eggplant lasagna (with actual meat between its many layers), cordon bleu, or just about anything that involves meat. I love meat. :9

 

For more local dishes, admittedly, I'm not a huge fan of most of them, but I DO absolutely love the Christmas dishes. Two, in particular, I anxiously wait every year to have them. Those are hallaca and pan de jamón. No matter how bad things are, I'm willing to kill to get any of those two at the end of every year. That's how much I love them.

Is your wife okay with your catgirl obsessions and what does she say?

At first, she wasn't particularly happy about it, but eventually, she learned to accept the thing. Up to the point that she does give me accurate, reasonable feedback for any potential figure I want to add to the collection. Obviously, she's not "fully invested" into it, but she is not against it either.

 

I can definitely imagine that you have a Felicia shrine or something at your bedside so can you post a pic if applicable ? 

That's still under construction, unfortunately. I do plan to have one section of my shelves exclusively dedicated to her as a shrine of sorts. Unfortunately, most Felicia-related merch out there is insanely expensive due to how rare, old, and limited it is. If I wanted to make a shrine with what I have, it'd come off a bit lacking. Granted, as soon as it's worth showing out to the public, I'll be sure to snap a picture of it and share it for the world. For the moment, I'm going to owe you that picture.

What was the most embarrassing moment of your life?

It took me a while to remember this one off because I don't think I've had that many embarrassing moments in my life. For real. x3 So, anyway, it's something that happened when I was in kindergarten. It's probably one of the very few things that I still remember vividly from that time in my childhood. We were at the first recess early in the morning and I really, really wanted to go to the bathroom to pee. For I don't remember why asinine reasons, none of the teachers would allow me to use the bathroom even though I asked them multiple times. Not sure why they didn't let me. It's not as if they were "bad, evil" teachers. You know, the shitty ones. I remember them being pretty nice at the time. Whatever. what happened is that I ended up peeing myself and making a mess of whatever pants I had at the time. On top of that, since it was one of the very first days of school, I didn't have a change of clothes available, nor a towel, nor anything... So I had to endure stinking the whole classroom and sit away from everyone else until the end of the day. How cute.

 

I think that's probably the most embarrassing thing I remember in my life. I had like what? Around 5-6 years old? I don't know. That's probably as further as I can go back on my childhood, and that event is one that has stung with me the longest. And now, the whole Internet knows, but I don't mind, really. xP

Does hair count? Like, I wouldn't mind being bald. I could probably use a cool wig. Better yet, does facial hair count? You know what I hate? Having to shave regularly. Fuck, it's a pain and a waste of time and money. And then, the damn thing grows back immediately! Some people have said to me, "Well, you can like, not shave and have a manly beard instead." NOOOOO! I hate it. I don't like having facial hair. It makes my face feel all itchy and shit. It drives me nuts, lol.

So yeah, facial hair would do. Not sure if that's the kind of answer you were waiting for or if it's even valid.

Right now I have one dog. Her name is Luna. Say, "Hello" to her.

How are you surviving the pandemic?

I'm doing okay. To be fair, the pandemic here is like one more boulder on a trail full of bigger boulders. Or, to quote a local satyrical website I follow, "Venezuela's new normality during the pandemic is just like the old normality but with a facemask on." Being always at home, no jobs, massive poverty, endemic violence. Like, what's new? Oh, yeah. I do use a makeshift facemask whenever I go out, and we sort-of do social distancing as well, like, the only one time I go out every week for food. But other than that... Nothing feels too different for me. There hasn't been that many cases over here, although I'm sure they are going to keep rising at a steady pace for a while. Most businesses (the few we have left anyway) only operate for like half a day and the government has decided to set up barricades to stop people mobilizing between the parishes that have more cases. I actually live very close to the Petare slums, which is probably the biggest hotspot as far as cases in the region I live in.

 

But yeah, nothing unusual. Just living every day the same way I've been living them for the past few years. Work online, play some games whenever I have some free time, and that's it. We're pretty chill overall.

 

What’s your favorite breakfast food?

My favorite breakfast would probably be an hojaldre, cachito, or croissant filled with ham and cheese. Cheese could be anything between ricotta, guayanés, mozzarella, or my favorite, American cheddar cheese.  Accompanying that with a strawberry milkshake would be great. ^^ Of course, last time I had such a breakfast was probably around 2013 or something...

 

Another good option that always works for me is just a bowl of cereal and milk, and sugar, lots of sugar. Unfortunately, that's too of a much luxury too.

 

Nowadays, I can settle with a cachapa filled with cheese and butter. The saltier the cheese, the better.

 

Who's your favorite Dragon Ball character?

I didn't watch as much Dragon Ball as my friends did back in the day. I mostly enjoyed the original Dragon Ball and the Z saga up until when Cell was introduced. On that note, I always liked both Kid Goku on the original series and then Gohan in the Z series.

Would you like that Capcom would make a new Darkstalkers game and would you like it to be 2D like the first games or more in line of Street Fighter IV/V?

Yes and no. On one hand, I think the series has a lot of potentials but I'm also afraid as to how Capcom could potentially crap all over it with DLC or a completely uninspired art style. Personally, I'd prefer a newer game with hi-res, redrawn sprites with more animations. Of course, all designs should be as faithful as possible to their originals. 3D could be an option as well if they managed to use that comic-book aesthetic they did MVC 3. I played little of SF IV and the visual style of that one wasn't too much of my liking for some reason. So yeah, HD highly-animated sprites preferably.

 

If you could freely move anywhere in the world, without cost and taking everyone you loved with you, where would you move too? Or would you stay in your current location?

Good question. I have thought about that long and hard in prior opportunities due to reasons that are more than obvious. Hell, I have a ton of family members, friends, and neighbors disseminated all throughout the world. You name it, Colombia, Peru, Italy, Spain, Australia, Mexico, the US, Panama, Canada, Portugal, et cetera, et cetera. I listen to their stories every now and then, what they've gone through, and such. Some have managed to get a good footing where they are, while others haven't been that lucky. Personally, I'd rather stay in my current location and try my best to improve my current living conditions. I don't think I would have too much of a problem adapting to a different culture, but I don't see the appeal of risking so much in an attempt to get a better opportunity somewhere else. Like, for example, at one point I considered moving to maybe another Latin American country, due to the similar culture and language. The places that came as options in my mind were Uruguay and Panama first, and Chile and Costa Rica as second options, due to being countries that have a relatively stable economy and growth. As for further away options, perhaps Canada, Australia, and maybe Spain, since they supposedly have friendly immigration policies.

 

But ultimately, I ended dropping all that. I already have a decent amount of progress in my life here. Sure, it's shit in the broader spectrum of things, but for me, it just works. Also, I'd rather contribute towards improving not only my life but also that of the current country I live in so that others in the future can have a more prosperous and stable life.

 

So, in short, I'd rather stay and fight.

Well said, fellow cultured man. There's a pretty good reason for that. Fox fetishists are on the rise, which is great for our army. The more kemonomimi enthusiasts out there, the more chances we get a character like that gets designed, throw into the public... and then R34'ed. But listen here, there's room for both and anyone else. I'm actually a big fan of kemonomimi and just anthropomorphic cute girls in general. Kitsunes, dog girls, bunny girls, wolf girls, dragon girls, mermaids, harpies, the list goes on and on. they're all welcome in my republic. Of course, catgirls will always be my one most cherished treasure. No one can beat their perfection in my eyes. But hey, we cultured men can't live of catgirls alone, right? The bigger the pool we can choose from to satisfy our desires, the better. 

 

I know you collect figures.  Which one is your all time favorite?

This crappy model here is my utmost favorite figure.

 

She was the first figure that became part of my collection. For years, I had been seeing numerous figures getting released on Amazon and other websites and due to my country's shitty policies and restrictions, I could never buy them when they got originally released. This one, manufactured by SOTA Toys in the US was one I always liked because her posing was excellent and she was reasonably cheap (I think her MSRP was around $40). How did she manage to become part of my collection? One day around 2011 while I was browsing the local Mercado Libre website (like eBay, but for Latin America mostly), there she was. Some dude in a vintage toy store located in Tachira had it. He was selling her for around $11 used (Man, things were cheap back then...), and I slammed that "Comprar" button as fast as I could. Did a wire transfer and after a few days, she was home. The figure came in good condition and was complete with her original box and all of her accessories.

Needless to say, I was happy, very happy to finally have my girl in figure form.

 

Back at the time I got her, I was completely enthralled by her. I mean, damn, my favorite gal in figure form on a sexy pose with a perverted mirrored base for me to enjoy from every angle every day after waking up? HELL YEAH! I couldn't keep my eyes away from her. She was responsible for my downward spiral into the addiction that is figure collecting. I simply had to have more of them, lol. Now, she is far from being perfect. Comparing her to other models I have nowadays, she is an extremely flawed figure actually. Her modeling is very rough with lots of clunky details everywhere. The painting is bad quality, with issues such as discoloration, wrong color choice, and just a sloppy paint job overall. The base has scratches too. Where the artist did a magnificent job is on her pose. She looks extremely sexy and cute at the same time, which I think captures the character's nature perfectly.

Anyways, even with all those issues, she's still my most favorite for the sole fact of being my first Felicia figure and the one that made me love the hobby and the character even more.

 

Who is your 2nd waifu?

Part of me would love to say that every other catgirl is my 2nd waifu. However,  I know that answer sounds a bit crappy, and after some deep thinking and consideration, I'm willing to say that my second most favorite catgirl after Felicia would be Cham-Cham, from the Samurai Shodown series of fighting games. Arguably, the second "catgirl of video games", having debuted the same year that Felicia did on the Darkstalkers games. Although Felicia is probably more widely known nowadays, I have always liked her super cute design, the fact that she fights with a (giant) boomerang and that her birthplace is somewhere in South America. She probably didn't get as much recognition as Capcom's catgirl, but she is very much worth it in my opinion.

So, yeah, 2nd waifu it is. I also have a cool figurine of her too.

 

Who is your favorite male character on animes?

If it wasn't for that no trap rule I would have probably said Felix or Astolfo, lmao. But talking seriously here, I really like Lelouch from Code Geass. A very cunning and deceiving man that is capable of a whole fucking lot. A genius strategist that commands everyone else with ease, regardless of using his Geass power or not. I really like his personality through the series and the motive behind his actions. I don't want to jump into spoiler territory, but I like him a lot, basically.

 

Ara ara or onii chan?

I'm always going to be part of the onii-chan team. It doesn't matter if I end up in jail...or hell...whichever comes first. Ara ara just doesn't stand a chance against the onii-chan power.

 

Your favorite body part?

A famous man once said, "Big tits with no ass will fill your hats, but big ass with no tits will fill your heart." And that perfectly describes my favorite body part. A pretty face is, however, very important too.

 

Do you drink milk, and how?

Truth is, milk is absent from my regular food budget due to monetary concerns. However, when I drank milk, I used to do so from a regular glass. A bowl worked too, in the event of having cereal for breakfast. x3

 

Do you believe that humans are destined to live a life controlled by a predetermined fate, or do we have free will?

I think we have a lot of free will into bending that supposed fate we have. Like, yeah, some may have better opportunities (or luck, if you want to call it that) than others, and therefore, may be able to modify their lives in an easier way, but that doesn't change the fact we do have at least a small form of control of who we are and where we are heading to.

 

If someone you loved died and a copy of them was made that was exactly the same, down to the atomic level, would they be the same person to you? Would you love them as much? (got that idea from an episode of Black Mirror)

Doubt it. Even if they would be the same physically, I doubt a cloning process like that could reproduce the same level of consciousness or soul on another individual. Since it's a different person from the one that died before, I'd probably need to get to know this new person first in order to have a better understanding of him/her. Of course, I wouldn't downright hate or love this individual at first if there wasn't any reason for it. I would probably need to get acquainted with this new individual in order to have a new opinion on them. Now, if we were to, let's say, "dump" all of the memories and experiences from this person that died into this new person, effectively creating a mirror of them on this new person, then here is where things get difficult. I think I'd probably treat them as a new individual as well.

 

What's the most important life lesson that you've been taught?

Hmmm. Perseverance, maybe? I think that, in the face of adversity, that's probably the single one thing you will temper the most in order to challenge any difficulties that may come in your life. Probably related to willpower as well, although I'm not entirely sure if they're the same thing. For the most part, I've learned that adversity usually breeds inventiveness too, as to cope up with anything the environment may throw at you. Valuable lessons, indeed. 

 

What's something everybody should try at least once?

Cute anime girls? They're an excellent cure to depression, sadness, or any bad state of mind that could cloud your judgment. Unfortunately, they do send you through a different kind of rabbit hole, but still, I do recommend them.

 

Would you rather have your hands changed into crab hands or your legs changed into crab legs?

I imagine playing video games, writing, or just living a normal human life would be kind of hard with them. What would happen if someone drew nipples on my chest? What would happen if I wanted to caress someone else (or myself...) with those crab hands? No sir, definitely not. I really love my normal human hands and legs. 

 

Do you watch MMA? If so who's your favourite fighter and why?

Not really. I know my dad does, though.

 

Do you like Thundercats or so?

I remember watching ThunderCats when I was a kid, but I have very, very little recollection of it because I was so young. I remember my family and me used to joke about the name of the titular bad guy, Mumm-Ra, but that's all I remember sadly. I probably enjoyed the show because my parents would often put me to watch it alongside them. I probably was around 5-6 years old.

 

What are your views on the musical "Cats"?

I have never seen it. The only thing I know about it is its existence. x3

 

Would you like to have a genetic engineered girlcat?

A million times yes! Just remember the 10% rule and everything will be fine. For reference, the 10% rule is this one:

I think Felicia is probably a little more than 10%, but she's still on the "safe side" for the most part, at least on my mind. For the record, I don't have anything against furry designs myself, they're just not my cup of tea.

 

What about Catwoman? Do you believe is sexy or just an Americanized attempt to girlcats?

I find Catwoman sexy as well. Who wouldn't really? x3 Anyways, I think western audiences probably have a different idea of catgirls, and you mentioning ThunderCats above reminded me of that. I don't remember much about the series when I watched it during my infant years but looking at some of the character's design there shows that the idea of catgirls (at least at that time) was probably sitting a bit closer to the furry side. I mean, not that that is bad a thing, but it's just a different take and idea of this type of character. Catwoman is more on the safe side of, "Okay, here's a sexy human girl but with feline-like agility, personality, and mischievousness," and that's something I can find attractive as well.

 

Are you planning to finish your backlog? 

I would like to say yes but truth is that I keep adding new games that I don't finish every now and then. What I would like to do is perhaps reach a completion rate that I'm comfortable with, but then again, with what little time I have available to play, if I find myself bored with a game, then I end up jumping to another one and the cycle just never ends. xP

 

Do you consider a casual or hardcore gamer?

Probably a mix of both, but leaning perhaps a bit more towards the hardcore side. Nowadays I don't invest as much time into the hobby as I'd like to, but I can still hold my ground in knowing some obscure games or facts about them. I do enjoy easy casual games as well, since lately, I've been trying to get into mobile games too. But above casual or hardcore, I'm 100% gamer.

 

You describe Caracas as hell on earth. Which place would be heaven for you (on this earth...)?

There's a bit of a funny backstory of why I describe my location that way. You see, Caracas's original nickname is supposed to be "La Sucursal del Cielo" [Heaven's branch (on Earth)]. Most likely referencing the original development and growth of the 50s to mid-70s. I wanted to make a play of that nickname and simply interchanged "Heaven" for "Hell" to reflect its current condition better. ^^ Anyways, back to the question, I think this one will be somewhat related to question number 36, but you're asking for heaven this time. That's a tough one. I don't think any place out there is perfect. All places have their fair share of good things and bad things. Maybe some of the countries I listed on the aforementioned question would be "good option" to migrate to, but I wouldn't consider them heaven either.

 

You got me with this one. I guess any place I feel happy with would be just fine.

 

What was your favourite childhood cartoon?

I saw plenty of cartoons back then. Specifically from my childhood, I think Rocko's Modern Life was my favorite of them all, closely tied with Hey Arnold! Rocko didn't have that many episodes compared to the other longest-running series but I really liked the setting and characters of the show, even if part of the humor was more "adult-oriented" at times. From my late childhood and early teenage days, in which I still continued to watch cartoons, the two that caught most of my attention for their hysterical humor were The Fairly OddParents and, of course, SpongeBob SquarePants. 

Two classic cartoons that I very much love. On a side note, Wet Painters is probably my most favorite SpongeBob Episode ever. Must've watched it like a bazillion times and I always burst into laughter

 

I can admit that I'd often sit and still watch cartoons with my little brother when I was in my late teenage years. The episode in which both SpongeBob and Patrick have to paint Mr. Krab's house is still a joy to watch even after all these years. I and my brother still poke funnily remember most of the early episodes in the series from time to time.

 

Do you enjoy traveling?

Unfortunately, I haven't had much of a chance to travel myself to have an opinion. The very few times my family did travel during vacations, it was mostly to the same 2-3 places inside my country. And even inside my own country, I really didn't visit that many places since I've only traveled to like what? 3-4 different places outside Caracas? And that was when it was possible, nowadays it's impossible to travel even locally. I guess it must be fun. If I had the means to do so, I'd probably travel and visit different places both inside my country and around the world, since I actually enjoy learning about new places and cultures.

 

The most important question. cool ranch doritos or nacho doritos?

To be fair, there's a ton of other snacks that I prefer over Doritos. For the past few years, I've stopped buying them for myself due to them being somewhat more expensive than other local alternatives that taste better. My fiancée does love them, though. Out of those 2 you mentioned, I personally like the regular nacho doritos the most.

 

Do you have any anime you regretted watching before in your life?

YES! I have a few that I've started and later dropped for one reason or another, but I won't talk about those because I don't think I could give a fair opinion on them without even finishing them. Nevertheless, there's one anime series that I sat through completely and that it was the biggest clusterfuck I've seen in my life. I'm talking about Blood-C here. Supposedly, a reboot from the original Blood+ anime, which was very entertaining for me and is a series that I really enjoyed. If you ever want to see a nice anime about a girl with mysterious past fighting monsters alongside nice, well-developed characters that you care about, watch Blood+. It's actually pretty good for its time. Now, Blood-C is as if the studio reviving the series wanted to piss on everything that made the original Blood+, and then suddenly wanted to turn the show into some edgy trash fire with non-sensical, almost comical violence at times. Seriously, no character development whatsoever, no plot, bullshit characters, and nothing that made the original great is here.

Should've been called Blood-Fuck instead... I hate it. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back to MAL to rate with a 1 instead

 

Like, the original Blood+ had gore too, but at least you felt sympathetic towards the characters or what happened on screen, or you had an interest in how things were going to develop for the other characters. But in Blood-C is if they just added gore everywhere without ever thinking of developing anything else, like an actual reason or explanation for how things move forward. It's bad, it's really, really bad. I understand for some people it was an okay "gore-themed" series, but for me, it just threw a nice anime property of a cliff with its pointlessness and unfounded bad edginess. 

 

Do you love memes? If so, which one(s) are your favourite? 

Damn, I do like memes but there are so many out there's that's impossible for me to pick out a favorite. I'm gonna say, though, that I do enjoy some of the older memes the most. You know, like the ones that are way past their prime and most people have stopped using? Yeah, those are the ones I find more hilarious.

 

Do you play sports?

Nope, but I used to play basketball and football (soccer, for the Americans ) with some of my friends when I was younger. Then, I turned into a damn potato! 

 

Does your mom approve of your trophy hunting?

Not like I have ever told her about it, mind you. I don't think she would even give much thought about it since my mom is the kind of person that calls all video games "Nintendo".

 

Who in your life knows you're trophy hunting?

My brother, my fiancée, and I guess the people here at PSNP. They don't seem to have much of a thought about it either. Both of them used to hunt for trophies before, but now, they just play for fun. My fiancée mostly plays mobile games and my brother is usually playing old PC games whenever he has time between college.

 

What video games really mean to you, as a video gamer and a trophy hunter?

A way to escape from reality and a means to have fun by engaging activities and adventures that otherwise be impossible in real life. As a trophy hunter, I'm not that-much-competitive anymore, so I just like to use trophies as a way to judge how efficiently I play and finish up my games. They also give me a nice incentive to play and try other areas inside a game that I wouldn't otherwise explore, while at the same time giving me an idea of how close I am to "completing" a game. Then again, it really depends on the trophies because some games have some nicely laid out trophies that encourage discovery and gradual progression, and then there are others that just have shitty trophies.

 

What is your first video game console?

A Nintendo 64 was the first console I ever owned myself. My dad gave it to me as a Christmas gift in 1998. I remember that, when we got home with the console, we weren't able to make it work because the TV we had in the living room, an old Toshiba CRT didn't have the RCA connections needed to hook up the console. So, we had to go out the next day to get an RF switch to connect the damn thing. That console was a regular black/gray and we got an extra controller and two games to play with it, Super Mario 64 and Cruis'n World. I already played games on my PC at the time, and I have had a chance of playing NES, SNES, Genesis, and N64 games before since my cousins had the console and the only reason I wanted to visit them is so that I could play games with them. But my very, very, very first console that was mine, was that N64. I still have it and it works great.

 

What word is spelled incorrectly in every single dictionary?

I wouldn't have been able to figure these ones if it weren't for the help of Google-san. x3 From what I'm reading here, the answer is: incorrectly. It's cool to see these types of riddles in other languages. Reminds me of a popular old adivinanza everyone seems to be taught here when they are children. xxD "Blanca por dentro, verde por fuera, si mi nombre quieres saber, espera". The answer is on the riddle as well. But even as a kid, that one fooled the first time, lol.

 

What 5-letter word becomes shorter when you add two letters to it?

"Short" becomes "shorter" when you add two extra letters to it. ^^ I gotta confess I know zero riddles in English. If there was ever a video game full of these, I'd probably look for most of the answers online. Which defeats the whole purpose of the game, I know, but still...

So, I thought the 9 answer to this one was pretty crappy. At first, pervert me thought that four would make a foursome and five a fivesome, respectively.  

 

When are you gonna play Knack 2?

I'll be playing that 10 out of 5 knacksterpiece very, very, VERY late into the system's lifespan most likely. Unless I can find it for like 2-3 bucks or something. That'd probably make me play it sooner. x3

f you had to choose one of your hands to have the title which would it be? Why? What makes it worthy?

Definitely my right hand, not only because I'm right-handed and do everything with it, but mostly because my left hand is more than worthy of the "dishonorable" title for, well, using it for some "less-than-honorable things", if you know what I mean. I won't go into details, but my right hand is the good one, while my left hand is instead the evil one. Like, have you seen Crazy Hand in Super Smash Bros.? My left hand kinda looks like that.

 

What do you think of Nekopara?

It's a franchise I'm deeply interested in. I have the games on my download list for the PS4 and the recently released anime is on my hard drive as well, I just need to set some time aside to delve fully into it. I'm aware is not an emotional masterpiece, but merely a series designed to have a fluffy, nice time with a bunch of different catgirls and I can totally dig that. The art style itself is part of what draws me in, as everything appears to be in the true spirit of how I envision things would be on a world like that, lol. Now, I wish I could share a more complete opinion of it, but since I haven't fully explored the series, I cannot really say much about it. I can assure you I'm 100% invested into fully dipping my toes into it. Hell, I even pre-ordered this figure without having experienced the games or the anime first. That in itself says a lot.

How do you think your future kids and grandkids would feel about your "collectibles", conversely, have your parents or grandparents seen your collection and how do they feel about them?

Good question. First things first, at this moment I'm not planning to have kids nor grandkids. It's not like I'm completely opposed to the idea of having a son or daughter, but more in line with the idea that it would be very irresponsible of me to have a child considering the circumstances I live in. However, assuming things were to improve and then the viability of having a child was more plausible, I wouldn't really have much of an idea of my kids or grandkids would feel about my collection. They would probably think that his dad is some crazy, perverted old guy. They could probably just accept it, or maybe they could even enjoy it and take part in it. Whatever they feel at the time, I'll have to respect that.

 

Now, my grandparents are all dead, so I wouldn't be able to tell you about that. And my parents, well, they really don't have much of an opinion on that. I can tell it's something they don't like because it's probably against the values and/or customs they were taught, but they do respect it. Like, they recognize I could have gone stray through a much darker road and become a useless piece of shit, but then I didn't. I'm a completely normal and unremarkable individual outside of my house. I always behaved well and respect everyone. I completed my academic years always on the honor roll, and I'm always respectful and supportive of my parents in every way I can. It's like, "Okay son, you have a weird taste, but you're totally a good apple at the same time, so we're good." It's something like that. They could complain if they want to, they just don't have the grounds to do so. ^^

 

If you're a fan of Warhammer 40K, what is your favorite army?

The Imperial Guard, although I think they go by the name of Astra Militarum nowadays? Countless billions of regular men and women capable of holding their own against threats and odds that are far away from their league, and they do that with sheer numbers and brute force. And then you have the Baneblade... Brilliant.

I actually became a fan of the W40K universe when I first played Dawn of War in the mid-2000s. It quickly ended up being one of my most favorite RTS of all times, and I even did my fair share of modding on it back then. I still play it nowadays from time to time. Sadly, I haven't been able to play most of the recent games due to my PC being too old to run anything, but hey, I do plan to get back into the newer games at some point. Even if I have heard they haven't been that good. I'm planning to play W40K: Space Marine on my PS3 before this year is over at least. As for the actual tabletop game, I have been interested in it for a long time. Not like I could play with anyone here, but more on the side of collecting the small figurines of the armies I like the most. Someday, maybe.

 

Also, please don't tell the emperor, but the weeaboo space communists of the T'au Empire are my second most favorite faction in the game.

 

Favorite school subject?

During high school, I went through a subject called Universal History, which was, basically, a brief look at the most important events of the history from our world. It went through a number of interesting topics ranging from the dawn of civilization and the first instances of recorded history from the caveman ages, moving all the way up through the middle ages, the renaissance, the industrial area and so on, all the way up to both World Wars and ended up with a brief outlook at the geopolitics of the time. I always found stuff like that fascinating. Geography was also one that interested me a lot. And English was also fun because I could plow through that one with ease due to somehow learning the language before having any actual formal class myself, lol.

 

Conversely, my least favorite school subject was mathematics. Weird, I know, considering I'm supposed to be an engineer. But hear me out, I saw so much of that shit over the course of my life that I ended up hating them, and then having to learn integration, derivatives, differential equations and such, that shit was too abstract for me to see any value on it. Like, I'm sure it has its use somewhere, but it was probably the least fun for me. Plus I saw like a bazillion different mathematical courses, so yeah, I got frustrated with that one.

 

Do you believe that Elon Musk will be able to create genetically engineered catgirls in the near future?

That guy needs to forget about space exploration and those boring electrical vehicles and start working on what's important for the future of mankind. The program of Genetically Engineered Catgirls for Domestic Ownership must not die. Stop giving money to your local government, church, charitable organization. We need to direct all resources to the projects that really matter. If there's a guy out there that can totally tip the balance in our favor, that's gotta be Elon Musk. O.O

 

How did you first find PSNP?

In the early 2010s, I used to be member and co-admin of a local site called PlayStation Venezuela. It was a site simply dedicated to all things PlayStation for the people in this country. I have a nice story about this one. Since Sony never added our country into the list of selectable countries when you create a PSN account, so we had to keep track ourselves of who was the best trophy hunter in the country. Eventually, someone came across PSNP and brought to our attention that these little cards that displayed our profile and trophy count could be a cool way to keep track of that, so most of us ended up signing into this site. If I remember right, there was another site that also offered trophy cards (can't remember its name right now, PSNTrophyLeaderblahblahblah--), but most people favored this one, and for good reasons, the cards were better-looking. So that's how I came into contact with this website. I registered here but refrained to participate in the forums or anything like that because I was more invested in our local community.

 

Sadly, that place eventually fell into disrepair because the original admin and owner was never seen around, so getting anything implemented without having full rights into the site was impossible. Plus, as the country's economic crisis grew larger and larger, people were obviously less able to game or participate at all. The site was shutdown one day all of sudden and everyone ended up orphan. From what I know, I could never get in contact with the main admin and owner of the site as he never replied to my emails. Most of the community ended up joining and chatting through Facebook, but I really didn't like that idea, and well, eventually most of my friends left the country and we lost contact between one another.

 

What motivated you to engage in the forums?

I hadn't been part of a community for a long time and wanted to engage with people again. Before PlayStation Venezuela, I was a member and co-admin of a more Nintendo-centered community called nHotspot (I think we changed our name at a later date but I can't remember for the life of me...). Anyways, this site was an English-speaking community that had people from all over the world, so engaging with people with different backgrounds was nothing new for me. Also, since I had already recovered somewhat from the worst days of the crisis, I felt more inclined towards engaging and talking with other people once again, you know, for fun. Around April of 2018, I finally decided to post something on the Gonespy thread, owned to the fact that I've been fiddling with it for a while in an attempt to obtain a few trophies I was missing in Bulletstorm on the PS3. A few days later, I introduced myself and the rest is history. I simply wanted to keep coming to talk with everyone else and be part of a bigger community.

 

Your three best friends on PSNP and why?

I rather not single out anyone. They're all great.

 

Huge fan of your detailed posts, but I can't help wonder how long it takes you to to write them?

I've always enjoyed writing. It really depends on the length of the post and the amount of research it might need. But on average, I'd say it takes me about 45 minutes to an hour to write a full status update.

 

Follow up, if you had to guess, how many hours a day do you spend on PSNP?

Damn, I always have a tab of the website open on my PC. I never log out either. It's not like I'm always browsing threads and messages, though. I think that probably around two small check-ups of around 20-30 minutes each day is what I do. But then, there are times when I don't come back to the website for like 2-4 days, so, yeah... 

 

How did you come up with your profile picture (follow up question: where did you find it & how long have you been using it? Do you use it outside of PSNP)?

I love Felicia, don't I? What better way than to show the love of my favorite videogame gal than by plastering her face all over the Internet. xP I actually have a hard drive full of pics of her. All these pictures have been, eh, obtained from the Internet (both SFW and NSFW). The one I have right now, which is a cute animated gif, I think I found it on DeviantArt. I've been using it for a couple of months now, so it needs changing soon. And yes, any Honor Hand you see on the website donning a Felicia avatar, that's most likely me.

 

What motivated you to become a Premium Member?

Nothing. x3 It just happened. I was just browsing the website one day, reading some threads, and all of a sudden, I became premium. I didn't ask for it but I became one anyway, lol. All joking aside, a kind member of this forum gifted me with my first premium membership as a nice gesture. I never knew who that nice fellow was. After that, a very close friend has been gifting me premium memberships every time mine is close to expiring. The extra features are nice to have. ^^

 

What motivated you to do an interview about yourself?

I thought it'd be fun. I read the interviews of some of the other members and wanted to take part in the whole project as a nice community experience. I also get the chance to spread the catgirl-loving religion on a bigger stage.

 

If you could be Sly Ripper for one day, what would you change/improve about PSNP?

Hmmm, it's been a while since I last commandeered a website. The first thing would probably be to make a poll to see what the community would like to see implemented. Like, everyone to submit ideas. Then, the ideas that get the most mention and upvotes, make a poll with those, and have everyone decide what change or improvement the site needs. Of course, it'd have to be feasible stuff that can be done with the forum engine we have now. Otherwise, looking for a way to fix some of the bugs in guide-editing and with the spoiler tag in the threads would be nice too. I'm not a coding-type of person, but I know this can be exceptionally hard, especially if you depend on software from a third party. 

 

Do you know Sly personally ?

Nope. x3 I talked with him once when they were giving the prizes for the Guide of the Year Awards 2019, but that's about it. I really don't know anything about him.

 

How do you deal with trophy hunting burnout?

Either play something else that doesn't have trophies or just jump into a different activity altogether, be it watching anime, movies, YouTube, whatever. If a game has extenuating, grindy trophies, chances are I probably will try to do something else in-between to keep my mind out of the tedium or the frustration those trophies represent.

 

If you went to college/uni, what did you study and do you still apply that knowledge today?

 

Uni for me. I studied Industrial Maintenance Engineering. I always was keen on engineering, but since I could find a spot on exactly what I wanted to study, I ended up opting for the next big thing that could be profitable and was slightly related. Sadly, no. I only got a chance to work for about a year at a local company in the food & beverage area and, well, it wasn't profitable at all. Now, the work itself was okay, it wasn't exciting by any means, the co-workers were mostly good, and the offices and the factory itself were nice too. I made it to supervisor in a very short time and had my own private office and everything, but due to the economic crisis that was starting to grow out of control, I ended up resigning because my salary was worthless. At the time I quit, I was making like around $45 a month putting up the extra hours on the weekends, so it was not worth it for me. Little did I know that it would grow much, much worse in later years, so even though my whole family wasn't happy with my decision, in the end, it was that decision that helped me find a somewhat more reliable income source online, which I've been using for the past few years to keep myself alive and support my immediate family. Good thing is that I also have the freedom to buy and import stuff from outside the country, which is a blessing. Most people don't understand or appreciate that kind of freedom until they lose it.

 

Anyways, the short story is no, I don't apply that knowledge in any way, shape, or form nowadays. I had to buckle up and learn a new trade to survive. I don't even remember most of what I studied during my uni years. Whether if that was useful or not, I can't say because I know my case is probably not that common? At any rate, I do think higher education IS worth pursuing and is something most people should try to go regardless of where life may end up throwing them.

 

Do you prefer Posts/Status Updates/or PM's and why?

Status Updates. I like to treat my forum profile as a diary of sorts, and I find that's the best way to keep account of what things I'm doing. Also, close friends can come to drop by if they want to. Posts and PMs are good too, whether if I want to engage with the broader community or with someone in particular, but Status Updates is like that nice point in the middle where everything just clicks for me.

Kind of funny you said you hate facial hair. That was me at first... Would shave every 3-4 days but it got really annoying having to spend so much time lining up edges, removing the stubble and getting slight rashes or ingrown hairs.

It was terrible, especially if you were familiar with Blood+. Like, the only thing it did have in common with Blood+ was the main character being named Saya (because she doesn't look or behaves at all like the old Saya) and that there were vampires in it, but that's about it. They just threw everything else out the window. >.<

Interesting. I didn't know that. I assume that's probably a White Knight from one of the earlier blocks? We had cards from older sets too, Mirrodin, Odyssey, and I think Invasion was probably the oldest we had at the time. First strike was awesome btw. The cool thing about Bushido was making your creatures look deceptively weak at first glance when in reality they could stack a bunch of bonuses from other legendary creatures, equipment pieces, or just sudden buffs here and there. It was fun playing with that deck. It was not deep by any means, but it was fun trouncing people with it. x3

I think the longest I can go without shaving is like a week or so. Eventually, the itching gets so intense (in my mind, at least) that I just need to get rid of the whole thing. Only for it to reappear in full like in 2 days and the torture to start again. I don't know, it's just not my thing. My dad does sport a full beard all the time, so that gives me a good idea of I'd look myself. Funnily enough, he does trim his every now and then but I've never ever seen him without that thing. Like, not even in his oldest pictures of when he was around my age and so. x3

I had to try my best to offer reliable information about the goddess, being his most devoted follower and all.   Now that you mention that idea, I could have probably used this one figure of her that I have that is based on her Darkstalkers Resurrection artwork. Thing is, that Felicia figure, in particular, wasn't made into a specific scale, so I wouldn't know how to compare it with her size listed on the wiki.

 

No, they weren't upsetting at all, they actually gave me a good chuckle at first because I thought they were the kind of stuff the Ultimate Felicia fanboy should know. x3

Yeah, originally printed in Alpha (I started playing MTG during Beta). It was one of those early game staples (like Hypnotic Spectre) that you expected to see in almost every game (unless it was some lame Stasis deck or something else that didn't use creatures as a win condition).

I really enjoyed reading your response to my question about moving anywhere in the world. Sticking it out and fighting for a better future not only for yourself but for others is very admirable. You took a lot of time and effort to reply to everyone's questions, so cheers for that.

 

Cat-girls are awesome by the way! My personal favorite is Meracle from Star Ocean: The Last Hope (mainly because I spent so much time in that game on my Xbox 360 and she carried the ladder half of the game for me. Hard for me not to love her). Also I gotta say this, but your wife is awesome for at least letting you have your own interests without judging too much as well. Everyone needs a significant other that let's them have their own special things in life!

Meracle was also my favorite character in SO4, and she does carry most of your playthrough if you use her wisely. She has the best dodge maneuver in the game. Just pull off a blindside and then punish the opponent with her high critical rate attacks. Plus, linking moves with her just plain fun and easy. ^^ First time I came across her in the game I was like, "Mmm, blue-haired catgirl joined the party? More like best girl that will carry my whole game joined the party."  

 

Also, yeah, that's what a significant other is supposed to do, to respect and accept each other regardless, right?

I hope you enjoy answering them. I laugh a lot with some of your genius responses, and strucked really what you told about certian topics that can be considered shameful or avoidable. Anyways, thanks for answering my silly questions!

You're welcome. Yeah, all questions were fun to answer, and I didn't mind going all out with the answers even if some of them could be rather shameful or WTF. I was like, "Meh, it's the Internet. I've seen weirdest shit around," so I didn't mind dropping some fun stuff here and there.
