How are the controls for this game?

Never played a "mouse" game on PS4 and after some search online I found people claiming its pretty bad and people claiming its one of the best ports. What do you guys think?

 

And about performance, does it hold? Some posts says it gets laggy after 400 colonists.

The controls are fine and the most recent patch added Keyboard and Mouse support but I can't comment on the current stability and frame rate because I haven't played this game in nearly 3 years.

No real complaints from me with regards to controls, one slight annoyance when things like transport vehicles don't go to the correct thing you click on when you've got numerous things in close proximity but it's a minor thing

Overall the controls are really well realised imho.

I think it's a hit or miss in terms of playing on pad. I was fine with pad controls in every strategy game I've played on PS4, but with this one, it just annoyed me for some reason. It was way better on a pad+mouse combo. I'm assuming switching to a keyboard and mouse would further improve the experience.

I found it a bit cumbersome at first but once you get familiar with it, quite easy. Although it can be frustrating at times.
