Popular Post blackf1re-
I noticed a lot of people are still having problems with the dominator trophy (understandably) so let me just tell you about my experience with the survival mode and recommend a build, that will make you unkillable once you get going.I tried to get this trophy on PS4 for quite a while and got kinda frustrated, but as it turns out, a proper build can make all the difference in the world.First of all, let's talk about group size. I have seen a lot of people saying it's the easiest to beat it alone, but I have to disagree there. If you have a good teammate, it's the easiest to do it as a group of 2, I would personally not recommend doing it as a group of 3 due to the scaling. When you start your run, you should get one of these weapons: assault rifle, chicago typewriter, beam rifle or the ricochet. If you don't get either of these, don't bother and reload the mode. These are by far the best weapons to use for this achievement. There are 2 ways to play this mode: Explore and loot everything or "rush" through it. I recommend playing more of a rush style and only breaking crates/picking up items you see on your way, to keep 3-4 levels ahead of the difficulty curve. Every 3rd boss will be a world-boss. You will definitely want to approach the 9th boss before the enemy levels hit 15 (nightmare difficulty), in my case the 9th boss was Ixillis both times and it can end your run faster than you think. The final build you want to aim for is:- Primary Weapon: Ricochet- Secondary Weapon: Any you personally like, I would recommend the submachine gun or the repeater pistol- Amulet: Galenic charm (+30% weapon mod damage)- Ring 1: Soul Link (Summons steal 5% of the damage dealt and return it to the wearer as health)- Ring 2: Soul Anchor (Increase duration of the summons)- Weapon mod 1: Seed caller (Summon a root hollow, maximum of 2)- Weapon mod 2: Iron sentinel (Summon a full automatic turret, maximum of 2)Other viable mods are: Swarm, Hunter's mark, Blink token (for riphide), Beckon and Seeker is good for the beginning. For the armor you should look for a regrowth piece early on, to save up your hearts for the bosses. Towards the end, you should aim for a mix of the "power surge" pieces (increase weapon mod damage), the "cultist" pieces (generate more mod power) and the "leto" pieces (high armor). After the 3rd boss I would recommend buying either a golden plum (bonus health regen for the next 60 minutes) or a mudtooth's tonic (increases your maximum health for 60 minutes), depending on how you do of course. These items along with the divine nectar and the houndmaster's jerky are essential for your success in this mode.Once you get this build (or something similiar) going, you will be unkillable:- Seed caller will keep the enemy aggro off you- All 4 summons will simultaneously heal you- Ricochet will automatically kill the minions while you shoot the boss- You will charge up mod power so fast, you can always keep up all 4 summonsI cannot stress enough how underrated the ricochet is in survival, however, you will definitely want to keep an assault rifle, a chicago typewriter or a beam rifle ready, along with the rattleseed mod, in case you run into Ixillis. Don't attempt to kill Ixillis with the ricochet. This will make the survival run quite easy, I had massive problems in my previous runs, but we didn't get knocked out a single time with this build during the entire run. (Well I died once because I jumped off a literally 3 metres high ledge, seriously what is that physic...)Some general tips:- If you have a "cultist" armor piece, you can wait at the base for your mods to charge up, before you enter a world- If you run into ravager do the bell puzzle (I think the correct order was 5-1-5-1-2-3-4-1 or something like that) and shoot at it from a distance, it should be stuck in the floor- Positioning and movement is the key to some bosses, if you are unfamiliar with a fight, look up the boss fight on apocalypse difficulty on youtube- If you run into Barbed Terror you can stay right where you enter the room and most of the time, Barbed Terror will not shoot his spikes- When you take a hit during a boss fight and there is room for it, heal up immediately, even if you are only missing 30% or 40% of your health. Bosses can dish out unexpectedly high damage during the later parts of your survival run. This is also why mudtooth's tonic is so important- If you die completely and your teammate kills the boss, it will still count as a kill for you and I think you will also get the experience- Don't underestimate how much money you can get from destroying cratesI took inspiration from this console run on youtube, check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GF_KGC9t_F8 Good luck and keep grinding, practice is key.
