Popular Post XXIIlII
One playthrough was already enough for this boring game. But if accessibility options are allowed then I might give it a try.
F1rstinFlight
I’m personally excited for this because the platinum was just too easy. I wonder whether accessibility options are allowed for these trophies and if you can cheese the permadeath mode with backup saves. I can’t imagine they’d make you play through the whole game in one sitting. My guess is it’ll be more like the way Doom handles Ultra-Nightmare than how Wolfenstein II handles Mein Leben.
Azaan60
It's a AAA Sony first party game. NG+ and higher difficulty trophies post launch is pretty much a given now. Expect Ghost Of Tsushima to get new trophies too. Especially since it's gonna be getting a NG+ mode.

Well congrats for getting it done. I won't even try in that game with the cut scenes I'd hate it. I don't think i'd try this game either with the walk and talking that you are forced to go at a slow pace while you listen to backstory and mindless chit chat I couldn't take it even on easy. I will play grounded and if on Permadeath I can utilize cloud saves i'll do it. Otherwise it's a pass.

This isn’t a dlc exactly, it’s more of an extended trophy list. unlike the left behind Dlc from the original game which add a story
Popular Post AyAerith
Really hate this trend. Developers need to stop adding entire playthroughs of the game as DLC trophies. I too only borrowed the game so I either need to borrow it again (friend lives in a different state, so $10 shipping back and forth) or I need to purchase it again. Then I have to play this very, very, very, very, very, very, VERY long game two more times, both of which will be unenjoyable. Glad I got to experience TLoU II because it was a great game but fuck right off with the DLC NG+ bullshit.
deeps_rj
Finished the game 3 times, These 2 doesn't look like they're stackables. Looks like i'm gonna 100% this on PS5
LightningBreath_
I feel bad for whoever going for this, God bless you and good luck. I was more than happy to replay the first game more than once for the 100% completion but that won't be the case here.
Popular Post Mayellie
I know it says permadeath, but I’m not too familiar with them, so how exactly do they work? Doesn’t the game have to save at some point because it’s impossible to play through this one sitting, like Outlast 2, for example? If so, I can imagine there would be a work around using cloud saves. I’m thinking maybe it’s only *kind of* permadeath? It says there are “settings”. So maybe if you die within the first two days of Ellie’s first portion of the game, you restart from her Seattle Day 1. Likewise with Abby, but that would mean having to get through those sections in one sitting/not turning off your PS4, and I don’t think this game is as sadistic as Outlast 2. That would enable TLOU2 to have a save point that would be difficult to bypass using cloud saves, since you could just upload them after every couple checkpoints/game saves. I just started my NG+ playthrough last night. If permadeath can be acquired during NG+, I might restart my playthrough. I generally don’t play games on high difficulty levels because they make me frustrated, but TLOU2 is a survival game with emphasis on how you manage your resources and approach encounters, so for a game like this, Grounded is a perfect addition! EDIT: Booted up the game, and I don’t see neither Grounded or permadeath features. Is it normal to release DLC trophies first, update the game later? Popular Post Sinthoras_96
I'm seriously considering to not buy any Sony games anymore. Literally every first party ps4 title from the last 4 years has a piss easy plat, so that every nohand without skill can earn it. And all the challenging trophies are "gifted" to us as "free DLC". So the true trophy hunters and completionists are forced to waste another 2 playthroughs for 2 bronze / silver trophies. Why can't this stuff be part of the platinum? The time you need to waste with these playthroughs wouldn't feel that wasted at all, if the platinum was the ultimate reward at the end of it. Moving difficulty trophies from the main list into dlcs is just absolutely embarrassing. Imagine if Max Payne 3 had all it's difficulty playthroughs added as DLC and the platinum was a 50% common trophy instead of a 0.7 ultra rare. Stuff like this completely kills the purpose of trophy hunting. Oh boy do I miss the times when the challenging part of the platinum was the actual difficulty and not to sit down on your ass to watch a 10 hours video guide for the 3 Million collectibles in the game. Oh and the most ridiculous thing is that they don't even have the balls to truly provide a challenge. You can play the bloody permadeath on very easy looool What is even the point of doing that? Who would play permadeath on very easy, if there wasn't a trophy that forces you to do it? "Oh I aM sO hArDcOrE I hAvE bEaTeN tHe GaMe oN pErMaDeAtH - oN vErY eAsY" loool The only point of this is to have people spending another 20 hours on your game for a bloody bronze trophy. They could at least have made these trophies golden. Edited August 10, 2020 by Sinthoras_96

They are accessible to every game owner after all.
sepheroithisgod
I expected Grounded. Not sure what permadeath will include, but I hope its not that bad, although it kinda sounded like you can pair it with an Easy mode playthrough. Doing two more playthroughs is not something I look forward to doing.
elpoko
Grounded was my favourite playthrough of the original so I'm really looking forward to this. Permadeath will be doable on any difficulty with a back up so that's not a concern.

Popular Post Alex_R-13
Oh and the complaining begins again. If you are so butthurt that the game finally has "hard" trophies, don't go for them. Also, you will more than likely be able to backup saves and revert to an old one in case you die, requiring only one additional playthrough. Skip the cutscenes and follow some speedrun strats and you are done fairly quickly.
