man08071983
Seriusly, I spend over 30 minutes trying to swam dive for the callenges in the valley, I watched videos on youtube but to no avail. Lara keeps pencil diving but when I try in the botom of the waterfall she does it perfectly. Is any hidden mechanic I am not aware of?
alexandra-jane09
In order to execute a Swan Dive for the challenge you need to Jump then immediately hold down the L2 button, she should perform it. It takes some practice to do it, unlike the classic Lara from the PS1 days.
Gewehr_FR
Don't stand on the wood board, jump from the cliff just slightly on the right. This jump drove me crazy until I saw this tip online.

No one important
This was driving me nuts until I saw a trick in a comment on youtube. Step one: Press jump (straight up, no movement on the stick). Step two: Simultaneously press L2+ forward (while Lara is in the air). Worked every time. Did each one on the board on the red x. It's pretty fast since you have to do it while she is jumping, but the timing is pretty easy. Don't start with the high jump... It sucks retracing your steps. Learn it on the small jumps. I'll try it. This is driving me nuts, since she keeps pencil diving instead, whether I use L2 or O, but I'll keep at it... :/

It is slightly luck based to get the right animation.

It's not too intuitive, since you're more likely to jump off, than to stand still, but I got it done.
