Final Fantasy VII Remake PSN Avatars Reward

[ Im from Brazil ] I just contacted the US Customer Service and after the agent said " Available only to USA/Canada " and I said that a friend of mine from Brazil received the avatars he told me that he would look into it. Then he said that I will have to wait for an e-mail for the next steps.

 

I will keep this updated if I receive something.

Hi, 

 

I’m from the UK and I messaged them about the avatars 2 days ago because I saw a post about them on Reddit. I got the platinum trophy in the first month the game was released and didn’t get anything. I did a live chat, sent a photo of the time stamp of the time I got the platinum, my ID and email address. Today they redeemed 3 codes on my account and I have the avatars now. 
 

Keep trying I may have been a lucky one

Ho telefonato e ho detto che avevo letto su internet di questa promozione dove davano dei pacchetti di avatar come ricompensa per aver completato FF7R.

 

Se dicono che non ne sanno niente insisti, magari prima mandagli una mail con qualche link alle discussioni di Reddit oppure questa, tanto ti dicono lo stesso di telefonare, in ogni caso gli fornisci il numero del caso.

 

A me hanno chiesto varie informazioni tipo le prime e le ultime 4 cifre della carta di credito con cui ho effettuato l'ultimo pagamento sullo Store, e un numero di una delle ultime transazioni effettuate. Più cose tipo un recapito telefonico, l'email e l'ID PSN.

 

In ogni caso dal mio account mi hanno dovuto riattivare la newsletter per i partner di terze parti perchè PER NOI NON E' PIU' POSSIBILE FARLO MANUALMENTE, hanno proprio tolto l'opzione, almeno il primo operatore mi ha spiegato così.

 

Ah, mi hanno chiesto se avevo già provato a contattare Square-Enix ma io ho fatto finta di dire che l'avevo già fatto (in ogni caso ho provato e non ne sanno nulla)

 

Dopo aver attivato quella newsletter mi hanno detto di aspettare una settimana per vedere se cambiava qualcosa, non è cambiato niente e quindi ho telefonato di nuovo.

 

Questa volta l'operatore, dopo gli ennesimi controlli, mi ha mandato un'email con un link dove effettuare l'upload dello screenshot dove si vede che ho preso il Platino (già che c'ero, anche quello col primo trofeo), e che dopo questo avrei dovuto aspettare due settimane.

 

Lo faccio e qualche ora dopo mi rispondono sempre per email dove dicono che gli servono pure gli screenshots della mia schermata dei trofei PS4 di FF7R.

 

Fatto questo, passano altre due settimane e ricevo il messaggio che ho postato poco sopra.

Anyone from EU have a spare code for the 2nd set of avatars? I'd pay for it too (actually looked on ebay before posting here haha) cuz I'm desperate to put my favorite Turks member as my avatar— by the way, I replayed the whole game on a new seperate account and got nothing. Everything was enabled in the email options so idk.

From what i've experienced with two of my accounts they unlock the three avatars packs (platinum trophy) on the account requested... No codes are sent.. Well at least that's how support is handling it over here in the UK. I had to trick support into giving me the avatars on my main account because weeks before they said I didn't have marketing on therefore wasn't entitled to them.. Of course I eventually got them... You'll just have to contact support.

I know topic is old, but I didn't manage to get my codes 3 days after I went on live chat. The code I got for chapter 1 completed was somehow redeemed though, so I just blitzed through another account to get it, should be a few days.

 

Got chapter 18 and Platinum codes working.

Yeah, they don't send codes, but they actually redeem them for you. If you check the transaction history you'll find the codes they used.

Tried my luck with Chat (US) yesterday and was told that I the promotion only applied to those who've platinumed the game. I said I knew that there were 3 avatar sets, one for beating chapter 1, one for beating chapter 18, and one for platinuming it. I plan on getting platinum eventually, but not really any time soon since I'd rather catch up with more of my game backlog first.

 

Might try again sometime and hopefully and get a more helpful agent, but with the PS5 launch I imagine it's going to be an even longer wait time than usual for a while getting through to someone.

So I contacted support after I beat the game but before I got the Platinum and they sent me those avatars. I contacted support today, a few weeks after I got the Platinum, and now they didn't send me anything because it's not on this list of Platinum trophy rewards: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/legal/platinum-trophy-reward-terms-and-conditions/

 

There are a few games, this game and Persona 5 Royal, at least, that have rewards for various trophies. Apparently these are not included in the Platinum trophy list. So if you want the reward the employee doesn't know any better because it's not counted as a Platinum trophy reward despite being a Platinum trophy reward. I'm going to have to try again tomorrow, and word my sentences differently or something. Does anyone have an example of what they said to the chat to get them to understand? I obviously can't mention the word Platinum.

 

I just wish I could get the stupid promotional emails instead of going through all this trouble. I have them activated on my account, I just never get them. I use Hotmail, maybe I would have more success if I switched my account email to Gmail or something. I kind of want that Bloodborne Platinum theme from the link, but I would have to contact support for that too. *sigh*

I managed to get it on my Dutch/EU account.

- Final Fantasy VII REMAKE Avatar Pack 1
- Final Fantasy VII REMAKE Avatar Pack 2
- Final Fantasy VII REMAKE Avatar Pack 3

 

We don't even have live chat here, so I had to send an email via their contact form.. I received an reply back saying that I had to call them, and obviously the support had no idea what I was talking about.. Luckily it just took about a minute for her to find out about it. Now I had to verify my account and send all the trophies in a screenshot with my PSN ID in view.. (not sure why they just couldn't look it up in my account)

 

The 3 avatar packs were automatically added to my account, which took about a week and honestly wasn't even worth it.. but I suppose It's nice to have some 'unique' avatars. 

 

Obviously this should have been done automatically (like the P5R trophies/avatars), but I guess they never bothered to fix it

Always an issue with these “play the game/reach this chapter/get the plat” type of rewards. I got about half of the ones I was supposed to get with all the games I played.

 

As far as this remake is concerned I got the email naturally for pack 1, which is cool as it has the Red Dog. Nothing since apart from an email saying to upgrade to the deluxe edition.

 

I did contact them with another game in the past and the UK service was very polite and I had no issues. Good luck to those who didn’t get the packs they deserved. As many have said though it would probably been less trouble just having them to buy in the store.

 

Hopefully if Remake Part 2 has avatars, it will be less trouble for the PS5 era.

I have a friend who got the avatars (EU account) but hasn't earned a single trophy for the game.

I asked him how he got them and he told me that he bought the Digital Deluxe Edition and got the emails that way.

I wonder if this is possible by buying the Deluxe upgrade, it's on sales currently at 10 euros

It took me weeks to get back here to post an update but I can confirm the avatars are available in France. I started by sending them an email, then they told me I had to call the support directly, after that they asked me to send screenshots and that they will get back to me. After maybe a week I got an email telling me that the rewards have been added to my account. Too bad the new circle shaped avatars have butchered them .. 

 

Don't lose hope everyone!
